Reading TNR's "Unelectable Whiteness of Scott Walker" is "like going to a movie called 'Godzilla,' only to find out that it's a Keira Knightley Victorian era period piece."

Christian Schneider "kept waiting for a single example of Walker's 'toxic racial politics' and found exactly none."
In monster movies, directors have to make a decision as to when to finally reveal the monster. Audiences generally get at least a half hour of rustling trees and shaking water glasses before the monster finally bursts onto the screen.

But in MacGillis' article, though the trees rustle and the water ripples, the monster never appears.

The thesis was that Scott Walker couldn't get elected outside the listening area of the Milwaukee talk radio stations.

It was really the right-wing talk radio hosts who were being accused of racism, not Scott Walker himself, except by association.

Even if you accept that premise, the conclusion that Scott Walker is unelectable nationwide is suspect. There are a right-wing radio hosts in almost every city around the country, not to mention the nationally syndicated ones.

The problem with the premise is that there is another perfectly reasonable explanation for the voting patterns cited.

If you have a candidate from the big metro run for statewide office, the metro candidate always have more trouble getting votes outside the metro area than inside. That's because the small town and rural voters feel their political interests are being run over by the big city.

Like I said, whites are too practiced in it to see it.

I betcha, if Louis Farrakhan was bragging he "worked closely" with The Crack Emcee - and I didn't deny it - the yokels would be swearing it's true.

But not Scott Walker, no Sir. Not he who made his career in the state with the worst record in the nation when it comes to blacks.

No Sir, not him,….

This is the problem: NOBODY reads beyond the headlines...or at least few do. Case in point: all of my friends out of state now believe Seattle pays $15 an hour. They are ignorant of the multi-tired, multi-year plan not to mention the lawsuits. They also think that pot is legal in WA like tomatoes are legal - when its a highly regulated system at all levels.

It reminds me of the South Park episode "Humancentipad"...

"Why won't it READ????"

Its all about the headline - whether the facts support that headline or not.

Who can forget the Sheboygan slave auctions. Ship after ship coming in unloading slaves from Africa to be sold to work in the cotton fields of Dane County. So many more lynchings than Mississippi and who can shake the image of Gov. Reynolds standing in the doorway of Bascom Hall declaring segregation now, segregation tomorrow, segregation forever.

Crack, you can't be real. You have to be the greatest troll ever.

Walker has clearly said they never worked with Nugent, he has only met him once. I posted it twice.

BTW, "work" and "crack emcee"? That's not something you see much in the same sentence.

Well, that's TNR.

("the worst record in the nation when it comes to blacks" means what?

Seriously, I have no idea what "record" exactly Wisconsin has that's "the worst in the nation" about black people.

I'm willing to entertain that there's some truth somewhere in that, but not on bare assertion of some unspecified "record" that nobody else seems to understand either.)

How much money did the white folks put in your cup today, Crack? Enough to graduate to the glass bottles at the liquor store?

Mingus Jerry,

"Crack, you can't be real. You have to be the greatest troll ever."

Are you really so white, do you really have a stick implanted so far up your ass, that you can't live - or answer a comment intelligently - without making me say "...in the state with the CURRENT worst record in the nation when it comes to blacks"?

Really - that kind of bullshit - blacks HATE that.

It's so antagonistic. And it serves no purpose but to make the white person think they're elevating themselves by pointing out an INCONSEQUENTIAL mistake, like something so trivial could ever change the image of graceless white people into "big men" or something.

You look like fools without those fucking powdered wigs and shit for effect.

Don't talk to me - "honestly" - if you're going to be shitty and stupid,...

No - you said he never did.

Delusional fool,...

But "racist whites" and "not hiring blacks" is quite common.

Connection?

I have to assume you're not up-to-date with the news out of Wisconsin. I'm also assuming you've chosen to parlay that ignorance into your adopted stance of above-it-all asshole. It suits you.

I could get you the links. Show you the figures. Try to impress you with the facts but, you're white, and doing that - repeatedly - for people I am told received waaaay better educations than I will ever hope to receive, seems a little much, don't you think?

I'd prefer you pull my finger - but I'll suggest you try Google first,...

You know, like you do.

What if a white guy lied to crack and told him that money WAS placed in his cup.

But there was no money in the cup.

Cracks head would explode.

Since he believes white guys who lie to him about obvious stuff.

That Crack has a new obsession.

Dane County and Milwaukee are controlled by Democrat bureaucracy, even if a Walker gets himself a title here and there.

So of course these are shameful areas of racist bigotry keeping the black man down.

THAT IS WHAT LEFTISTS DO.

Guildofcannonballs said...

Here's what you do if you want some influence and prestige:

1. Identify the Democrat bigots based on the disparate impact of their bigotry regarding student graduation rates.

2. Fire their racist ass' and never apologize or give an inch for helping give black kids a chance that was denied them for too many generations by racist Leftists modern-day slave owners.

You see the beauty if it is, no matter what happened to the kids we fired the Libs!

You see???

WE WIN!!!

That's pretty funny, because on other threads you have basically asserted that nothing has improved in 400 years.

Don't ask me for a link, google it.

Here in the Northeast, no one outside of the small world of conservative political junkies has ever heard of Scott Walker. So I guess we should be grateful to TNR for highlighting to the world just how afraid the Democratic Party is of Gov. Walker. That's good news to those of us looking for someone who's very conservative but not so in-your-face to carry the flag in 2016.

I'm beginning the believe that there are several posters who repeat and refute Crack's comments just to overwhelm the thread. Let him spew his nastiness into the wind. Ignore him.

I'm going to regret this, but I gave Crack the benefit of the doubt and looked this stuff up. Wisconsin black men have the worst unemployment and the worst incarceration percentages in the US. But blaming Walker is just lazy. The number of black men in Wisconsin that are in jail has been gradually decreasing since Walker took office. The real surge was under the prior Governor.

So far as employment is concerned, I gave up on finding statewide data but the Milwaukee data shows a steady rolling disaster starting in 1970.

I liked you better (which was not at all) when you blamed Glenn Reynolds for all your difficulties.
