Althouse has also not felt the need or obligation to make a public declaration -- not about marriage, but about the Truth Behind Her Blog. The Revelations are coming this Saturday to a Cafe near you. Stay tuned.
Yeah, Jodie seems like an interesting person. A gay person who identifies themselves as gay first tend to be a boring dud. Her sex life seems the less interesting part about her.
I give best wishes to the happy couple. But this really isn't newsworthy or blogworthy anymore. Unless one of them is in the line of succession to the throne of England.
The other night I ended up on one of those strange corners of youtube (as one will) that contained a clip of the goddess Jodie Foster speaking near-perfect French [to an actual french person, who did not get snotty. ;) ]
Here you go: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CPc-5SbiReo
I remember catching a US interview with her, with a french colleague in tow, and he would look to her if he needed help with subtlety. He spat out a word in french, and she thought about for a split second, and responded with "summary".
It's more than that she's smart, there is an unusual clarity to her intelligence.
Is it a "fact" that Jodie Foster "never felt a need" to announce her same-sex marriage?
Or could it have been convenient? For a movie star to maintain a veneer of heterosexuality for fear of alienating a large part of her audience?
I don't follow all things Jodie Foster very closely, but I thought that she had a long-time female lover as of many years ago; is this a new one? That part wasn't mentioned.

WOW! Never saw that one coming!
God bless her. She's a class act.
Have the lambs stopped screaming?

She presents the appearance of sanity and order. This may have something to do with the fact that she's a gifted actress.
Didn't she shoot at President Ford or something?
Leave it to Jodie Foster to go and get married and not make a big deal out of it.
I didn't leave it to Jodie Foster. I went and got married and didn't make a big deal out of it either.
For some reason TMZ never bothered to report it.
@rhhardin:
No she shot a taxi driver who rear-ended her Lincoln in front of Ford's theater.
Don't feel bad , though, it's an easy mistake to make.
John Hinckley, Jr. was not impressed.
This, of course, is the way it is done by normal people.
Pinball Wizard! Has to be a twist!
Her wife is kinda hot. In a manly sort of way.
Didn't she shoot at President Ford or something?
You are thinking of Squeaky.
Or maybe Sara
Both of those ladies have been released and are on the dating market for any liberal who likes 'em plucky.
Jodie Foster has long been my favorite actress. That's my racist opinion...she's Scots-Irish.
