"Chelsea Clinton is pregnant. Do you ponder how this will impact Hillary’s 2016 plans?"

"Then you’re stupid or sexist or both."

IN THE COMMENTS: Meade writes:
I notice, when I go to the link, that the next item down is about sexually harassing interns.
Oh! Indeed:
* Sexually harassing unpaid interns with the full protection of the law was fun while it lasted in New York. [Slate]
My original link goes to an Above the Law feature titled "Non-Sequiturs"... which suggests the sequence means nothing. I guess it's a bit like saying "no pun intended" to nudge people to see you've made a pun or "Any resemblance to real persons, living or dead, is purely coincidental" to get a laugh, as The 3 Stooges did in "You Nazty Spy" ("Any resemblance between the characters in this picture and any persons, living or dead, is a miracle") and "I'll Never Heil Again" ("The characters in this picture are fictitious. Anyone resembling them is better off dead").

I do not ponder it. The baby will have no effect on Hillary's plans. It may help her get elected in a tiny way but that is about it.

A plus, especially if she can get pregnant again in time for the primaries.

Or don't care.

There are certain Democrats who don't want Hillary Clinton to run, and they probably are stupid and sexist.

When a male presidential candidate has grandchildren, it is seen as a sign of strength, statesmanship, and power. His large family is a sign of his august seed, which he has passed on to a generation of virile sons, who have then fired off straight-swimmers into the most fertile of women, producing a vast estate over which noble Grandfather lords as patriarch.

Who the hell thinks like this? Thanks for the link. My IQ dropped 10 points reading such nonsense.

If you "ponder" about whether people are "pondering" then you are stupid.
There I narrowed down your choices for you.

I don't think about it. I don't care.

But, if she had aborted it and went public with her decision, it would have rallied the base.

And that encapsulates the Democratic Party.

I ponder whether, if it is a girl, it will be safe to leave it alone with 'grandpa'.

Perhaps if the Clintons have any integrity, they will raise the issue of an unalienable right to life from Creation (per our national charter, per natural law) until death, which has been remarkably lacking from the Democrat Party, and from not a few in the Republican Party. They claim to have a moral character. They claim to understand evolutionary principles. Their enacted principles have demonstrated a profound confusion and suggest an inability to reconcile their purported and actual principles.

That said, congratulations and commendations to Chelsea and her husband for making the right choice.

Meade, I noticed the same thing. It elicited a chortle.

It just occurred to me that if Hillary got pregnant, it could be a game changer.

Question for Hillary:

Will you announce to the American people when your future grandchild becomes a person?

I guess I'm not stupid or sexist, then. Nice to know.

For Huna as well.

Chelsea reminds me of a 8 year old younger brother in how the media uses her.

Discussed again and again, then they dare someone to say something mean.

"I'm not touching you, I'm not touching you, I'm not touching you," as they wave Chelsea all around.

"Mom! Rush hit me!" they yell, when people get tired and say something non-fawning.

Better for Hillary! to use new family as backdrop for political self-promotion than the coffins of the Benghazi terror victims.

First off, some will be outraged that Chelsea is not aborting. Then there's the hetero-normative gender aspect to get all upset about. And toys, and Barbie.

C'mon, now; this is FUN!

While I have no affection for the Clinton's this commentary on the politics of Chelsea's pregnancy is ridiculous.
