Don't raise a finger to rescue them, either. What difference would it make?

Remember that Day When Another Driver Passed By and Gave You and the Bumper Stickers a Big Thumb's-Up? Didn't That feel Wonderful? Good Times.

I have a 94 Chevy 1500. 4.3L Five Speed. 290,000 miles. What's not to respect about that?

My Only Sadness is When You Put Bumper Stickers on the Windows: I Feel My Canvas is Not Large Enough. I Would Love to Be Large Enough to Convey All Your Thoughts and Desires.

Respect all includes - Respect Stalin, Respect Mao, Respect Hitler, Respect Idi Amin, Respect Mugabe, Respect Mussolini, Respect Osama Bin Laden, Respect Napolean, Respect the Kaiser, Respect Tojo, Respect Andrew Jackson, Respect Jeff Davis, Respect the Klan, Respect Bull Conner, Respect Oswald, Respect Manson, etc.

Ridiculous ideology, this respect all.

Lord how I hated Smug City.

If I had to guess I would say this truck belonged to a female.

Lord how I hated Smug City"

While I enjoyed my years at Indiana University-Bloomington, the term "Smug City" seems to apply, in varying degrees, to most college towns I've visited.

I think the academic bubble that attracts long term residents breeds the smugness. Some time in the real world usually affects that smugness.

Just a word of warning to those who think the prevailing politics of Austin makes the place cute and endearing... commies are not cute, and they never have been.

If you're coming to Austin and you want to party in the Culture War, bring your A game ... these people are vicious.

The bumper stickers are just a facade and a warning.

The actual content doesn't matter - that many bumper stickers is invariably the marker of a disordered mind.

'If it's not fun, why do it?' Gosh, I'm always irritated by that sentiment masquerading as insight-- although read through the lens of Basil's comment at 0947 it's sort of amusing, in a macabre sort of way, I guess. Manson, Mussolini, Mugabe-- always the jokers....

The owner is a Democrat. Perhaps he does not understand the meaning of "harm none". Following the normalization of elective abortion, Democrats, as a party, as individuals, support and defend state-sponsored murder of around one million human lives ever year. That is one million human lives, Baracks, Harrys, and Nancys, that were with premeditation and callous disregard terminated every year in America alone. The willful termination of human lives as a population control regime, or for money, sex, or ego, represents an unprecedented violation of human rights.

Vote Democrat, celebrate death.

I thought Democrats opposed capital punishment. In fact, there is a whole business sector modeled on promoting civil rights. They are very selective in their comprehension of an objective reality, individual dignity, and human value. Perhaps their perspective is untempered by morality unless it is accompanied by money, sex, and ego gratification.

Ummm, where's the "Tolerate the Intolerable" sticker?

betamax,

"Bumpers at a Respectful Distance"

Except when they aren't; like that time a (presumably raised pickup truck, based on the point of impact) did a hit-and-run on the hood of our Accord in a parking lot, thereby confirming the theorem that two bodies cannot COEXIST in the same space at the same time.
