Are you home for Christmas? We are, having driven from Austin, Texas in the last 2 days. Did you even notice we were gone?
I've saved up all my photographs. I'll post a few soon.

So you were in the southern time zone, right?
I won't be with my parents this Christmas. I will get to see them before New Years though, when my nieces will be in from Oregon.
I was just in Santa Fe and Albuquerque. Just flew in a a couple of hours ago. I'm in Houston. Parents live in Louisiana. Nieces live in Oregon.
America.
I live in Austin. It's not where I'm from, but it's home. My wife is from Chicago, and she feels the same way about Austin, and Texas in general. Most people in Austin aren't from Austin, but Austin's home to them as well. I don't know how to articulate it any better than that. In Austin you can start over and be anything you want. It's a place where there's an almost palpable buzz in the air. Something's cooking. Are you in?
Awesome post and right to the point, I am not sure if this is in fact the best place to ask but do you people have any idea where to get some professional writers? Thanks in advance

Re: "Did you even notice we were gone?"
I Did. Or at least Figured Something Was Up. Different Pace of Posts, No Cafes, etc. Could've been Christmas shopping, Maybe, but That would've Been through the Portal, Not the Malls.
I Have Perceptive Antennae.
Very stealthy... no I don't think most of us noticed, but I do recall one clairvoyant commenter asking a few days ago if you two were "on the road.".
Yes, home, that being Charlotte NC now. Both sons driving over today from Nashville.
Did you even notice we were gone?
I did notice. Not enough new posts.
"Did you even notice we were gone?"
Of course. I broke into your garage and 'borrowed' your snow blower.
Did you even notice we were gone?
Yeah, yeah...enuff with ducks, now lets get some dog photos!
Welcome home!
A photo of a passing truck with a food product mural was the first hint you were on the road.
Dog photos = home. No dog photos = not home.
Haha, Rusty.
