"Tunisia is a very beautiful and safe country.... I advise the whole world to come visit Tunisia. Tunisia is a country of security, comfort, and stability ... Besides, in Tunisia there are more than 300 days of sunlight. This is a country where life is good!"

"Visit Tatooine, before it's swallowed by the Sahara."
"Ever since they finished the part of the movie shot in 2003, sand dunes have surrounded the film set from every side. They should not have allowed this to happen," says Tahar Karya, who used to drive George Lucas around the dunes.

Yes!
Tunisia is fantastic.
1,200 miles of coastline w/beaches!
Roman ruins better than what you'll find in Italy.
French-influenced cuisine.
Been there, done that. Matmata is pretty great too. Some (a lot?) of Star Wars was shot there in the earth dwellings. Lots to see in Tunisia.
Do they kill atheists like the Muslim troglodytes in other countries do?

How's the death penalty for Christian evangelicals caught possessing a smuggled in Bible going these days?
Yeah its all good. Until its not, and that comes with the death of infidels so enjoy your visit.
"Roman ruins better than what you'll find in Italy. "
Carthage, but I'm getting too old. It wasn't very inviting when I traveling in that area.
There's nothing in Carthage. The Romans really did salt the earth. There is not one stone standing on top of another stone there.
Despite some of the comments above, it's a nice place, nice people, big destination for Europeans looking for summer sun and sand.
"Carthago delenda est!"
I find it amazing that one can buy anywhere in Tunis or Phnom Penh bread that is equal to what you will find in Paris, but baguettes and other french style breads anywhere in North America are completely different except in color and shape.
May the Romans be a good example. Better to be feared than loved.
Interesting thoughts are provoked here.
First, judging all of some group/conglomeration by the actions of a few usually works to the advantage of the few in that Inga can claim all Tea Baggers are bigots because of one (probably planted) Confederate flag.
This prejudice doesn't help further solutions.
On the other hand, you've got people offended not by the gravity of the offenses committed by the few but instead by the response of conservatives-a response not sensitive enough when describing those who behead others unlike themselves.
As it happens, I've got all the answers but I will let you all figure it out in order to preserve your egos.
I like you all too much to hold back.
Therefore, the answer is for each and every person to realize:
1. It is wrong to criticize everyone in a group because of the actions of a few.
2. It is wrong to not attribute to the group actions of enough members that constitute validation of the membership via barbaric acts.
3. If Mormons walk around thinking they are equal to Jesus Christ and superior to all but a certain type of other Mormon they are more equal to Nazi's than they realize.
4. Bigotry is in all of us and must be acknowledged and the underlying presumptions disabused by dialogue as opposed to persons having the power to merely label one as a bigot, different from the pseudo non-bigots, and therefore subject to horrors.
Women, for the most part, are unfamiliar with Pro-State 10th Amendment admirers: the prostate too, deadly deadly demon that inhabits men's bodies and minds.

Somewhere Someone is Recreating This for YouTube With Vintage Star Wars Action Figures. Three-Inch Luke Skywalker is Two Inches Deep in Kitty Litter, Chewbacca is an LOL Cat: You Can see Where This Ends.
Sometimes I Wish Ann Had Insomnia So We Would get a Surprise Middle-of-the-Night Post. By That I Mean I Would Not Wish Insomnia on Ann But I Would Still Like a Middle-of-the-Night Post. My Thoughts Do Not Fit Together Like Legos.
Was Watching the U-Dub Football Humiliation with Friends at the Bar and Jokes Took a Downward Spiral as They Often Sometimes Usually Do. I Had Two of My Best Tasteless Jokes Ever-Ever: You Had to Be There. But If You Were There You Would Already Either Now Know the Jokes or Already Be (More) Disgusted With Me. By Jokes I Mean They Weren't Really Jokes, Just Things We Describe as Jokes Rather Than Accurately label Offensive Tourettes. I Can Either Be Inappropriate or Insular, That Ball Bounces. However, If Ann Ever Does a Post Involving Bowling Balls One of These Might Surface, Depending.
To Stay on Topic:
From IMDB --
Master explorer Dirk Pitt goes on the adventure of a lifetime of seeking out a lost Civil War battleship known as the "Ship of Death" in the deserts of West Africa while helping a WHO doctor being hounded by a ruthless dictator.
WHO Doctor: Doctor WHO. There Have Been Eleven Actors Who Have Played Doctor Who.
When I Was In College There Was a Student On the Paper (I was the Cartoonist / Illustrator - Go Figure) From England Who Compulsively Wore a Long Knitted Doctor Who Scarf. Her Doctor Who was Tom Baker. For America, James Bond Was Still Roger Moore, But Before the Duran Duran Title Song.
I Think I Made My Point.
Versa Vice.
What an antagonist.
Versa Vice.
Tatooine being swallowed by the Sahara? Not a moment too soon. I've had enough Star Wars for several lifetimes already.
The door of BMax, being other than beta, isn't.
Instead it walls via tangent with concepts and ideas and words.
I blame most of America's problems on after God and Man at Yale Harvard and Yale.
Then the City of Chicago.
Everyone, especially Rush Limbaugh if he still wants to occupy Krauthammer's brain given the concept to play with, should remember who Charles Krauthammer is.
His kids attended or will attend Harvard, if they choose to.
Full stop.
So.
That being the case, how much faith should I place in the atheist? Why, when regarding values he has no experience in, and worse, thinks he knows about, my values, should I trust his speculations disguised however they may be?
Because his life is superior to mine?
Granted, it is.
Because he could obliterate any "argument" I may have by virtue of his intellect.
So what I bitterly cling to is simplicity, defined.
After 60 years Buckley's observations cum genius have allowed ample time for evidence with regards to veracity to be specified.
Where is my money?
Why am I being punished with this obscene underfunding?
Maybe, as Ritno once declared a goal, then saw it achieved, and as America's Politico showed me the ultimate depths of my ignorance, which I agree now and will be is and was mockworthy, my simple goal should be to simply spread Buckley.
https://cumulus.hillsdale.edu/Buckley/
I used to do it.
I used to link Buckley all the time.
ALL THE TIME.
I have no "argument" against Mark Steyn save "hey why not be optimistic and create non-despair" or some such suchings approximating such suchings.
You accepted Bob acting.
Yet you claim Bob is somehow more true than, oh let's say WFB.
The idea or concept B. Dylan would be in anything but awe of WFB is what would surprise me.
Sure conflict made and will make Democratics untold influence and wealth.
Such is life.
I am sorry.
Being anti-semite and what yes.
Yet rehearing Puttin' on the Ritz my once Catholic brain screams "JEW."
And therefore undue racist respect.
If only I were to think "JEW" and something other than what I thought then that would be less worse than me now.
Re: "Tatooine being swallowed by the Sahara? Not a moment too soon. I've had enough Star Wars for several lifetimes already."
I'm Past Due for George Lucas to Be Swallowed By the Sahara.
He Had a Relationship with Linda Ronstadt, Gov. Jerry Brown Had a Relationship with Linda Ronstadt: While We Are at it Let's Have Jerry Brown Swallowed by the Sahara, Too.
Early in Her career Linda Ronstadt's backing band featured Don Henley, Glenn Frey, Bernie Leadon and Randy Meisner, who went on to form the Eagles. We'll Give Bernie and Randy a Break, but Don Henley and Glenn Frey: Off to the Sahara You Go.
It Would Be Like They Were (Finally) Swallowed by the Sands of Time, Only Ever So Slightly Faster.
At First They Would Notice Their Glasses of Beverage Were Seeming Gritty, But the Sunlight is Beautiful, No Need to Move. Rubbing the Eyes a Bit More Often, Nasal Passages Incrementally More Raw. Then: a Giant Slow-Motion Wham! of a Few Years and Now They are Covered in Tunisian Sand.
I Remember "Howard the Duck."
This Sand-and-Movie Set Scenario Had Been Tickling My Brain and I Finally Rescued the Stranded Thought: The Original DeMille (Silent) "The Ten Commandments." DeMille Built Massive Sets in a California Desert, then -- After Filming Was Completed -- Had the Sets Buried Beneath the Dunes.
"If 1,000 years from now, archaeologists happen to dig beneath the sands of Guadalupe, I hope they will not rush into print with the amazing news that Egyptian civilization, far from being confined to the valley of the Nile, extended all the way to the Pacific coast of North America."

Still (Somewhat) on Topic:
Dust Bowl: "One storm in May 1934 deposited 12 million tons of dust in Chicago, and dropped layers of fine, brown dust on the streets and parks and rooftops of New York and Washington, DC. Even ships at sea, 300 miles off the Atlantic coast, were coated with dust."
http://environment.about.com/od/environmentalevents/f/dustbowl.htm
If Washington DC Had Been Covered Completely Back then We Might've Been Better Off, Now. Fine Brown Dust Beats Red Tape.
Of Course, Now I Picture Charlton Heston Riding Up on Horseback and -- Instead of the Statue of Liberty -- He Sees just the Top Half of the Washington Monument.
I Reluctantly Accept That One Day I Will Be Under Six Feet of Dirt, But the Thought of Twenty Feet of Sand Dunes Piled Atop That Six Feet of Dirt Frightens Me: How Could One Not Suffocate Under All of That?
Are the Sets of "Ishtar" Buried Under Sand Yet?
Naked Bob Dylan Robot says:
Linda Ronstadt Has Covered Bob Dylan, But Not With Sand:
"Just Like Tom Thumb's Blues"
"Mama (Baby) You’ve Been On My Mind”
"I'll Be Your Baby Tonight"
Naked Bob Dylan Robot Has Never Been to Tunisia.
We have traveled extensively in Tunisia. It is a wonderful place filled with interesting things to see and do, including real troglodytes. No kidding, there are cave dwellers in Tunisia and their living conditions are not all that bad. There are several Star Wars locations that can be visited. Great Roman ruins, French cooking, etc. The beaches are wonderful. I would recommend it highly as a vacation destination.
