Yes, truly a badger dog (but not a dachshund). Inga should get the reference.

What is negotiation?

Most people have no idea. Barack Obama seems to think it's a signing ceremony. John Kerry seems to think it's a talkfest. Lots of people seem to think it's a talkfest.

No, negotiation is a scuffle over who has hand, who wants what, and how can we come to mutually satisfactory terms.

Will there be negotiation over the budget/debt impasse? No, unless both can agree that there can be negotiation. One side, Obama and the Democrats, do not understand the concept. It's useless to try negotiation.

It looks like a complete Tea Party failure.

No negotiating with hostage takers.

Bob Ellison said...

Phx, so I shouldn't engage in debate with you, right?

sakredkow said...

Am I holding a hostage, Bob? Explain.

Despite HD cameras strategically capturing some of the angles, too many close plays at the plate remain inconclusive.

BTW, the TBS play by play guy, doing the National League playoffs, has the most excruciatingly annoying voice in all of baseball.

I'm not going to say ever, because that would be an exaggeration... as I have not had the good fortune of hearing every play by play guy ever.

Thank goodness he is not doing the Red Sox games.

Don't get snippy with Bob, phx. He might use his awesome analytic skills against you. Yesterday, he talked about how the "Life of Julia" ad totally backfired on Obama. Even though Obama won the election. Dial it back!

Well I don't have a personal quarrel with Ellison.

Oh! He is so cute. Great Shot!

Obama won the election therefore everything in the campaign was a success is an interesting statement, and by "interesting" I mean "false".

Yes, the campaign was a success in total. However, that does not imply that every part the campaign was a success.

There's a related question, namely, whether the success of the campaign was a good thing.

The argument "I bought {car}, therefore buying {car} was the best decision." is clearly false. Is the presidential analog true?

phx, you're not holding hostages, but like most lefties, you're holding talking points. That's why I tried to talk about negotiation as a concept. I don't think lefties understand what it means. "Compromise", "negotiation". What do these mean? Obama and the left seem to think it's their way or the highway, and if you don't like their way, then you're a hostage-taker or something similar, as you suggested.

What are your terms? This question was probably asked at Appomattox. Do you have terms? I don't think Obama has any. The MSM, even FNC, keeps saying Ted Cruz and the Tea Party was stupid because they had no end-game, no strategy, no way out of this fight.

Does Obama have an end-game? No. He fights to win. He doesn't care who gets hurt in the cross-fire. His interest is power, pure, never-ending power.

Speaking as an MSU Spartan, I must point out that the wolverine and the badger are both in the Mustelidae, or weasel family. so, down with all weasels!!

Meade said...

Ah, but weasels are untainted by any known admiration from Adolf Hitler. Spartans cannot make that claim.

Plus, no self respecting canine would ever dare go out in public wearing one of those out-of-fashion Corinthian helmets. So 5th century AD.
