"A Fox Is Living on the White House Grounds and No One Can Catch It Because of the Shutdown."

"Really."

Oh? Well, if they can't catch it because of the shutdown, maybe they could at least interview it about the shutdown. From what I heard, the fox has something to say.

Guess they'll have to shoot it. Surely they haven't taken the Secret Service's bullets away.

Call for the Park Ranger ! There are plenty of them around. Maybe it's after Moochele's veggies.

Build a henhouse.

The fox said the squirrels are my EBT card and don't you be messing with my EBT card.

Why should they try to catch it anyway?

Rabies.

They can't catch the fox because he's out playing golf.

According to Irene's chart, there's more to fear from bats, raccoons, and skunks. I'll bet there are plenty of bats on the WH property.

Leave the fox alone!

Foxes have a very unsettling bark, usually heard at night and often confused in the northeast for a fisher cat.

I never realized before hearing it myself that fox make a sound like that of a woman screaming. It's a bone chilling sound and for years I thought it had been an owl of some sort, until I heard a recording of a fox doing it.

It's called a "vixen scream".

Oh, and despite being called a vixen scream, males do it too.

They have all those barricades laying around protecting nothing - maybe they can put them to good use.

All of that food going to waste, an excellent simulacrum for every government program. And the incompetence too.

Yeah, they should put the Koran down, get up off their knees and come out with their hands up and pick those vegetables! And keep an eye out for the fox.

But is it fair and accurate?

Import a foxhunt. Of course, it's years too late for the Obamas to be sucking up to the English...

Plow the garden under, fire half or more of the White House staff, get some sheep to keep the grass down.

Fox. News.

Why do they need to catch the fox?

Don't say rabies.

If that were true, then everyone should kill every fox they see.

A rabid fox bit a woman in D.C.'s Rock Creek Park back in February.

So...the WH has nobody capable of doing anything on their own?

Color me stunned.

Any reason why Michelle, Barack, and the girls CANNOT pick the vegetables?

Is it beneath their dignity?

It's really not that difficult to do. Time consuming, but this is "Michelle's garden", after all. She should show some pride.

I'm with David. Why catch it?

And if it must be caught, "Release the hounds!"

Dami, yes most certainly they could, if only they would "put the Koran down, get up off their knees and come out with their hands up", in the words of Larry Klayman, that Tea Party guy at the DC rally on Sunday. What a Patriot!

1. "Some foxes are rabid. Therefore all foxes might be rabid and should be captured or killed."
2. "Some foxes are tabid. Therefore all foxes which might come within a half a mile of the White House should be captured or killed."
3. "Some foxes are rabid. The President has a dog. Therefore all animals that could be rabid (except squirrels) that might come near the President should be captured or killed."
4. "Carter was attacked by a rabbit. Therefore keep all animals that might make the president's dog look silly away from the White House. (except squirrels.)

And not the kind that goeth before a fall.

Effing urbanites. Foxes roamed the Washington area back before Columbus set sail. The fox isn't doing anything to hurt anybody ('cept maybe a few squirrels, mice, and other rodent species).

One of the municipal golf courses here in Long Beach, CA had a really bad rabbit infestation problem. Hundreds of them everywhere. So they brought in a fox and let him have his way. In a couple of months, the rabbit population was gone. And the fox died of congestive heart failure related to obesity.

Okay, I made that last part up.

That didn't get there on it's own... that Fox had help.

I suppose this is relevant, somehow, but I am not seeing it.

Bush didn't cry and whine when he was called a chimp, repeatedly, for years. Can the First Family not handle a yahoo being mean to them?

Not just one yahoo, a whole Tea Pot full of them. Some of them being Congressmen.
