What would routinely happen, in such a case, is that his parole officer would call him during PO's normal working hours, and say, "Mr. Nakaoula, can you come in this afternoon, or tomorrow? We need to talk about some things."

Heck, I know somebody who was out, not on parole but on bail, waiting charges on a DUI (not his first.) One of the conditions of being out on bail was not drinking. So this fellow goes in on a Wednesday afternoon for his first meeting with his PO (same office does parole and bail release, don't know if that's true in every state.) During the meeting it comes out that the guy has been drinking while out on bail. "I'm sorry, Mr. XYZ, that's a violation of the terms of your bail, so we're going to have to cancel it. Can you come back Friday afternoon so we can process you back into jail?"

But there is this: According to the National Journal, the Administration lied because they knew if the truth were told Republicans in Congress would have been unreasonable and confrontive - or some such adjectives.

So, you see, it was, after all, the Republicans' fault.

Nakoula was out on parole and violated his probation. Probation violators were already "out on bail" before they violated the terms of their release. That's what this clown did.

His conviction was for fraud and using stolen identities, which Nakoula/Bacile repeated with this movie. He wasn't allowed to use computers without his probation officer giving permission. This last claws is very common with modern crimes making it very hard for parolees to make a living. But Bacile/Nakoula wasn't making a living, he was defrauding people yet again.

Nakoula/Bacile owes about $700,000 in restitution, which he wasn't paying. Raising money for this movie should have gone to pay back the previous victims of his crimes.

This guy is another two-bit Bernie Maddoff and meth manufacturer, but for some reason, folks want to make a hero/martyr out of the guy. Maybe folks have been watching too much Breaking Bad.

I play Eve Online. The staffer that was killed in Benghazi - whether you know him as Sean Smith or Vile Rat - was "one of ours".
