What a miserable piece of shit Galloway is. Anti semetic, rabid communist, no surprises that the fat motherfucker is pleased with the Iron Lady's passing.

He probably wants to let the poor Faulklanders be enslaved by that twat Kirchner and the Argentines.

Hopefully this rotten waste of carbon shakes loose the mortal coil soon.

Elvis Costello would perform "God's Comic" and sing the line "and wondering if I should have given the world to the monkeys" and then launch straight into "Last Train to Clarksville."

Pretty cool.

"Tramp the Dirt Down" would have been the most preposterously maudlin track were it not for "Any King's Shilling."

Thank God (and Tim Berners-Lee) for the Internet, so we have a record of this.

And thank Heaven for Twitter which, unlike comment boards on some blogs, don't get scrubbed or shut down when it's politically embarrassing.

Thatcher was the perfect bourgeoisie in Galloway's eyes. And she beat him.

Maggie Thatcher was for the middle class prosperity. That was a tough act surrounded by Monarchists and Marxists.

Obama is our Galloway today...boy does he hate us bourgeoisie Americans clinging to our 401k's. And as Thatcher did, we will prevail.

They're more common then they've ever been. Eastern European gangs came armed, and Brit gangs found that using sticks and bottles wasn't as effective as they thought.

In honor of Lady Thatcher, I submit this piece of good news from Althouse's own state of Wisconsin.

http://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2013/04/public-sector-unions-reeling-in-wisconsin.php

Here is the moneyshot:

"According a Labor Department filing made last week, membership at Wisconsin’s American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees Council 40 — one of AFSCME’s four branches in the state — has gone from the 31,730 it reported in 2011, to 29,777 in 2012, to just 20,488 now. That’s a drop of more than 11,000 — about a third — in just two years. The council represents city and county employees outside of Milwaukee County and child care workers across Wisconsin.

Labor Department filings also show that Wisconsin’s AFSCME Council 48, which represents city and county workers in Milwaukee County, went from 9,043 members in 2011, to 6,046 in 2012, to just 3,498 now."

Guess those unions aren't so popular without having the state government acting as their compulsory collections agent.

Have to agree, for example when ARM used the Newtown massacre to slime conservatives on this site.

I do get tired of the left preening about this while never managing to apply the standard to themselves. Conor Friedersdorf succumbed to this recently. One day he bemoaned those living an overly politicized life and the next he asserted those reaching different conclusions than he are guilty of pathologies rather than pursuing different priorities. But to the left being reasonable doesn't mean actually being reasonable, it just means claiming to be reasonable whenever you're not demonizing your opponents.

Neither of course can touch Obama, who whines of our coursening political discourse after having made the most outrageously hateful attack by a presidential candidate since at least the Daisy Ad.

To a leftist, being reasonable means being a leftist. If you aren't a leftist, you cannot be reasonable by definition. That's why it is redundant to say, "A reasonable liberal."

What a coincidence this attitude only comes out when it gives people an opportunity to attack the right. Ted didn't even die today and ARM feels it necessary to lecture the right on class - quite inappropriately given his history. But somehow he's not motivated to criticize those attacking Thatcher even though it's she who died. Whatever could account for the difference?

To the nutty left when Ted dies it's an opportunity to attack the right, and when Thatcher dies it's an opportunity to attack the right. So we see the lefty inability to apply any standard to themselves. The amusing step in this case is that those taking this position claim to be the "reasonable" parties.

Under any previous regime, Galloway would have been at least left to rot in prison, if not actually executed, for the traitor that he is.

Fortunately (and just to reemphasize the point, and make sure you can actually read, I said 'FORTUNATELY'--that means I think it's a good thing--not 'sadly') our increased respect for freedom of speech allows this loathsome toad to continue to life as a free man. Kind of a nutty post. I didn't attack anyone. I simply pointed out the universal character of human nature. Obviously Althouse wants to get everyone all fired up about some fringe left-wing character but a marginally more expansive view of the world would recognize that this kind of shit happens across the political spectrum, Anne Coulter being an obvious example.

I don't understand why most of the posters on this thread bite on these kinds of posts by Althouse. They are totally getting played. She can put up posts like this everyday until the end of time. Someone on the left says something stupid and it elicits a Pavlovian response from a bunch of posters. Kos does the same thing on his site. Classic hack work. It is completely unthinking, adds nothing to any debate and everyone is getting played.

Reinforcing negative stereotypes about ideological opposites may make some people feel good about themselves but is a pathetic way to deal with the world.
