The eggheads are searching for every savior they can find, except for Jesus Christ!

Jesus Christ! Try looking at what's right in front of you, eggheads!

Must be a country song in here. Jesus Christ is Good Enough for Me!

How is Time still in business?

I'm not so sure that claim is backed by science.

Beta Rube said...

You think if Obama heard "there is only one savior and it isn't me" he would assume Rubio was talking about him?

I agree with Nonapod. "Time" is still in business? Who knew?

"One toke over the line sweet Jesus, one toke over the line..." And all this time I'm thinking it's Jindal.

I am so glad he cleared that up,....

They're still printing "Time?"

I'd better get over to the library and get a copy.

TIME magazine. ugh.

I'm shocked that there are apparently enough dentist's office waiting rooms to justify Time's continued existence. Although with a lot of people with smartphones these days, why not play a round of Doodlejump instead.

Rubio won't be the savior because hard-right people like me won't vote for him, and he won't get enough Mexican votes to make up for the hard-right whites like me who won't vote for someone who makes a point of saying everything in Spanish. Fuck him.

As the Republicans inch ever-leftward in order to remain relevant in a browning (and thus more socialist and anti-white) America, they lose more and more whites who figure out that the Republican party apparatus is not about preserving our country for us, it's about getting elected and having political power, regardless of what leftist policies it has to support to do it.

But why should brown people ever vote for Republicans, who are just imitation Democrats? The Dems are much more reliable racial privilege and pork hander-outers. Hell, 3/4 of Asians voted for Obama, and Asians are supposedly hard-working and self-reliant. If Republicans can't even get most Asians to vote for them, they'll never get Mexicans to do it.

The Republican party is demographically doomed. But at some point a populist, nationalist party like Golden Dawn will arise and make things interesting.

It's the democrat hispanic outreach program.

TIME and TIME again...the LIBERAL PRESS is SETTING UP the Republicans, with an approved darling (for their purposes) and in TIME will pull the rug out from under Rubio, when the TIME is right to demoralize voters. Americans, don't get sucker punched again.

Rubio really is the Republican Obama. Attractive, well-spoken, zero accomplishments. The un-Obama approach flopped, so we may as well try imitation.

How many more ethnic and sexual theme candidates do we have to butt kiss before we can choose a candidate based on merit again?

Of course, who else could possibly be the savior except Obama?

This is why Obama can't be a devout Muslim, Christian or follower of any other religion. That would require him to believe in something greater than himself and there's no evidence he's capable of such belief.

Time thinks Rubio's a RINO, so they're suddenly in love with him.

Insta's betting they won't make their centenary.

MnMark - Hard-right people like you are handing elections to hard left people like Obama/Pelosi/Reid. Thanks.

Your 3rd party delusions will never amount to anything but 2-3% of the vote, if you’re lucky.

Rubio communicates well, much like Reagan. Much of what we elect is all talk. I suppose if Reagan were alive, he would be considered too leftwing for the purists on the hard right.

Who is pure enough? Non-rino enough? Is there a name?
I’m not on anyone’s bandwagon. The GOP will be up against the blind faith Hillary worshippers. We don’t do that kind of worship on the right. I suppose that is one of our problems.

I'm not sold on Rubio. He should have tweeted "it is not I". There are three potential reasons for getting it wrong:

1) He doesn't know grammar.

2) He made a careless mistake.

3) He knows it's wrong, but he doesn't want to sound like an egghead.

None of these is sufficient.

Are we really gonna do this crap for the next couple years? It's time for ideas, proposals, work. The personality obsession can wait. Nothing against Rubio, but he has no effect on anything at this point. Hell, he may have Alzheimer's by the next election.

Hey, how big do you think the deficit will be by then, and how many people will still have the the doctor they liked back in the good old days? Awesome!

bagoh20 said...

They actually believe in this politician as savior thing on the left. It's like battle of the Titans for people at Time.

I think the Right see it more like trying to find a babysitter that won't empty your liquor cabinet.

Colonel Angus said...

It's time for ideas, proposals, work.

May as well go Democrat lite since the idea of self reliance, individualisn and attaining achievement don't resonate with the majority of the electorate.

Who is the perfect pure GOP candidate?
There is no shortage of third parties in the US.
Here's the list. Is there a pure candidate in there?

The damage is mostly self-inflicted. Although, Time Magazine seems to be more than willing to help.

It may be simply about press for profit or perhaps something insidiously partisan and special interest.

He looks old in that picture.

Weird looking photo.
Because there are no good photos of conservatives anywhere.

The Cult of the Leader is a thing of the left. Battling zombie drones is an ongoing problem but the alternative is joining the hive. No thanks.

Chef Mojo said...

He looks old and very, very white.

Why, it's almost as if Time is trying to say something...

DADvocate said...

What is the deal with saviors? I don't need no friggin' savior. I just want a competent, fair president and Congress. Saviors are easier to come by.

Colonel Angus said...

Who is the perfect pure GOP candidate?

Well for me its the guy or gal that doesn't look at the government as the alpha and omega of our lives and has some sense of fiscal responsibility.

Scott M said...

Saviors are easier to come by.

You only need two other people and one shows up.

KCFleming said...

Who can simultaneously give away the most cellphones, forgive student loans, and take the most taxes while killing the most Alzheimers patients, aborting more fetuses, and slaughtering Islamists by drone?

That is the savior.

traditionalguy said...

Savior is a term reserved for God incarnate, crucified, buried and resurrected..

A man is a man for all of that.

Rubio is saying the right things.

Darrell said...

Actually Rubio said, "There is only one Savior and it's not me."

That is what any real Christian would say. And that is why I know that Barack Obama is not a real Christian. If he were, he'd never would have allowed the "One" bullshit being shoveled around--even as a "joke."
