I just got back from walking my dog -- a lab/pointer mix -- and the photo looks familiar. The soulful eyes, the begging for attention. Hailey's blond not black, but the eyes are the same.
Come on! We've got the best sports story EVER going on RIGHT NOW! This Manti Te'o story has vaulted past Hitler's transvestite "female" pole vaulter(!), past the East German women's swim team, and even past Jim Rome almost getting pretend beat up for calling Jim Everett "Chris". It's got the best of everything: Notre Dame (with all its tradition and sanctimony and bullshit), death, resurrection, false identity, high stakes, national championships and on and on and on! There's even been a Troy Polamalu hair sighting!
Honestly, this should be the only thing discussed on the internet today, it's just that damned good!
I'm sorry, but that dog does not like it's picture being taken. It has no idea what that camera is, and is not comfortable with it being pointed at him. The dog is not expressing pleasure.

Hey! Your Wisconsin air just got down south this afternoon, and it's way too cold to go outside now.
I'll stay inside and do the hot chocolate.
What was that thing you do when snow and ice falls overnight? I'll Google it.
The Sun is very welcome today. I could stand to see some more snow though.
Very comely, Madame, if I may say.
Our snow has been all gone for about a week, but it's supposed to get frigid (as my mother used to say) around here the beginning of next week.
The pups and I can hardly wait.
I love that lab face.
You can just see the thought: will there be running? And perhaps throwing and retrieving of things?

The reason I'm posing is to get a good picture of the knitwear, done by Irene, whom you all know as a commenter.
Ann, do you have any Ukrainian blood in you? Perhaps some Northern European mixed in as well?
Today's eyes, "try to grab this."
If a dog can't get you out of the house, nothing can.
Is the hat and scarf one piece?
I'd love to be able to get something like that for Guess-Who.

No way! That hat and scarf were done by hand?! I guess I knew it was possible but wow... that's some talent and patience right there.
It even provides all sorts of opportunities to bash journalists, who got suckered in, and celebrate alternative media!
Althouse,Thank you for the lovely pose.
edutcher, this is a two-piece set: a tam and a cowl.
You're a lucky man, Meade.
It's Meryl Streep playing Lara in Dr. Zhivago.
Nice pic of AA
So yeah, hiking sounds VERY athletic, but frankly, wouldn't we all do just as well calling it a walk?
"Ann, do you have any Ukrainian blood in you? Perhaps some Northern European mixed in as well?"
No, but I have Moravian.
Irene , you've got some talent, girl. That is beautiful!
Thanks, Kit!

Interesting. The only reason I ask is that I can see distinct Slavic characteristics in that pose of yours.
Cute. The set of photos reminded me of a Rosetta Stone sequence.

I know, right?
