Is that Zeus or an escaped sled dog?

Meade said...

Funny you should ask, tr -- yesterday, Zeus pulled me around Gov. Nelson State Park on my skis. And i only fell once - when I got my tips crossed. Mush!

Hey hey, mama, said the way you move. Gonna make you sweat, gonna make you grove.

I'll bet Zeus has had his shots.

Give that poor puppy a nice place by the heat register.

My dog pulled me. She pulled hard at first. Then more softly. She gets old. I want her to live forever.

The only executive order, I can think of, that Obama can sign and implement right away is to order all federal agents to turn in their guns... send the armed forces to collect them for dramatic effect... for his foto ops.

I cant think of anything else... of course, I'm thinking of legal possibilities mind you... not trillion dollar coinage and things like that.

"Of all tyrannies, a tyranny exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end, for they do so with the approval of their own conscience."

When I got home after sundown there were boxes and boxes on my front porch, discretely hidden behind a column by my friendly neighborhood UPS driver. They contained all the goodies I needed to build my latest creation -- a homebuilt DIY Mac Pro.

After about hours of screwdriver stuff, installation and testing I'm now typing on my new Mountain Lion box. It mayn't look like a piece of Henry Moore lawn art about to take wing, but it kicks your Mac's ass.

We all know
You really want a dog

Bob Ellison said...

Quaestor, you went through all that work and then installed OS X on it? Seems like a waste of chips.

There is such an Althouse ad (and show) on here. The song they use for the ad is "Little Boxes", and the show is about the tiny houses Althouse is fascinated by.

Maybe this show will be enough incentive to get Althouse to take a trip to London.

@ Wayne-o

None of the above. Official drivers are running everything. I use the Chimera bootloader then it's out-of-the-box Apple from there on. I'll use Unibeast if needed, but so far so good.

@ Bob Ellison

It was less than three hours from unpacking the boxes to booting into a production OSX environment. If it was Windows 7 it would have taken considerably longer with all the post-install stuff one must do.

This is mostly an experiment. I've been using Audition for many years (your cue to take a bow, Bob) but I'm interested in trying ProTools in its native environment.
