Nope, still not funny.

Were the 80s simpler times?

I'm with edutcher on this in asking if those were simpler times. I recall considering a move to New Zealand to escape a nuclear war started by Ronnie Raygun.

I didn't even crack a smile then. Didn't crack a smile now.

Those are two of the worst comedic actors in the history of American television.

I find it amazing that people don't find Jon Lovitz and Ed Grimley funny. This skit is not their best work, but the idea that these two men are "two of the worst comedic actors in the history of American television" is just bizarre. Or, you haven't seen much of what has passed for humor on tv in America in the last 60 years. As a statement of opinion, different strokes I suppose. But as a statement of fact, it's just plainly false.

*Martin Short! Not Ed Grimley. Frankly, while Ed is a funny-enough character, Martin's had many funnier characters over the years.

Meade and I laughed and laughed.

Ann, I don't know if you and Meade are familiar with Jiminy Glick, but if not I implore you to pull up some of the interviews he's done on youtube. My wife and I have spent hours crying with laughter watching those old interviews.
