Seen on the internet.

Grabbed this morning from a major news website:

I just wanted you to know what's out there. I'm not saying be afraid, be very afraid. But... pay attention.

So Chi-Town is going the way of Detroit.

Whoda thunk?

Nah, edutcher, Wrigleyville is a posh address in Chicago.

The young Greedy Skanks all want to live there!

Marilu is way past her prime 'stuff by' date.

Don't Bother, Cassandra

Coyotes at the gate
And the fools don't know it.
It's getting awful late;
Warn the fools? "Hey, stow it!"

They did not smell goat.

They smell Cubs.

It's offal.

Hey, David, lighten up!

Theo Epstein is busy building a dynasty at Wrigley.

2015, or 2016 at the latest, you'll begin to see the results.

Now Lars that's not nice.

Plus most of the world subsists on "choice" or "good." Marilu still qualifies.

I thought Marilu Henner was great as Jennifer Marlowe on WKRP in Cincinnati.

Merilu Henner has a condition that gives her a memory like a steel trap, which might be used to exterminate the coyotes, cruelty laws permitting.

Certainly not to be confused with the "Peace Day" Global Initiative...

Other prominent celebrites who have already taped their personal Message of Peace for the “Peace Day” Broadcasts, including musicians Ringo Starr and Michelle Phillips, author Marianne Williamson, two time Olympian Marilyn King, and actors Edward James Olmos, Diane Ladd, Ed Asner, Marilu Henner, Peter Coyote.

Coyotes are scavengers and eat mostly rodents. They're at Wrigley for the rat infestation and half eaten corn dogs.

Marilu has a photographic memory, I don't always agree with her, but she is a ginger and still hot. If she's single, I'd do her. She's smart though, would she do me?

"but she is a ginger and still hot"

Henner is a euonym if you pronounce it "Henna."

Epstein has met a challenge on which he won't deliver. He'll probably improve the Cubs, although there's only one way for them to go. I like the guy. The difference between the loser BoSox he turned into winners and the lowly Cubs is, the Cubs now enjoy their status as the longest losers. The way Chicago takes perverse pride in their corruption the Cub fans love their misery. Plus, @ Fenway you have plenty of Yuppies, but there's a hard core, blue collar following. They know the game. Wrigley is all Yups, all the time. They don't give a shit, they keep coming as long as they can drink beer and talk Yuppie. I NEVER hear baseball talk @ Wrigley..just Yuppie speak.

Marilu was a macrobiotic nut last I knew.

They look rather heavy for coyotes. Either the pickings are pretty good around Chicago, or they are dog/coyote hybrids - or, of course, both.

I wonder if Ann gets the Wrigley goat reference...

Joe Schmoe, I'm sure she gets the "goat" reference and may very well give an Amazon link on it.

Not sure if something is meant by the juxtaposition of the stories, but I can confirm the coyote population in the area. I live in a fairly dense suburb close to Chicago and I was driving down a street and saw a dog trotting down the sidewalk. I did a double-take as I realized it was a coyote. It seemed pretty unfair aid and was checking yards for small animals. It ducked down an alley to get a closer look at backyards.

BTW, we've had a couple of cougars spotted in the last couple of years. One made its way into Chicago where it was cornered and shot by police.

Goats do roam.

I imagine the rat population is high in ChiTown. Interestingly, in the wild coyotes will only mate once a year if there is adequate food or not at all during famine. In times of glut they will mate two or three times a year.

Thank you Professor Ann, I learned a new word today.

To McTriumph : Coyotes in the northern U.S. are sometimes not coydogs, but rather are offspring of coyotes that have mated with Canadian wolves. I live in rural central NY (west of Syracuse)and it is amazing how large these animals are, and how closely they resemble wolves (except for the fur color) when you get a good look at one.

"I wonder if Ann gets the Wrigley goat reference..."

Yes, I did.

Mike
I've heard of their interbreeding. I've only hunted them in Kansas, either with a injured rabbit call or hauling ass across the prairie as a passenger in a pick-up. Here they look like thin medium size German Shepards.

Hagar said...

Coyote/wolves. That could get interesting in a place like Madison.

I'm in Chicago, about 2 miles west of Wrigley. I've seen the occasional coyote (or dog/coyote hybrid) out at night. We're not that far from the Chicago River and it's heavily wooded all the way to the NW suburbs.

Coyotes are everywhere. There are some around Miller Park also. There was a 3 legged one I saw hobbling around for years, but haven't seen him lately.

I've seen them walking down the bike path in my back yard here in Hartland, but this is the country, kinda. Had a scraggly one come up to my feeders 10 feet from the house this spring; he was so hungry he ate some raccoon scat that was on the ground. I thought about tossing him a hotdog because I felt sorry for him, but came to my senses. It's bad enough I feed the deer, rabbits, ducks, squirrels, chipmunks, ground squirrels and every type of bird you can think of (including 2 sandhill cranes). Thankfully I don't have any geese; they're a nuisance and deserve to be shot, unlike the cute little duckies.
