I'm going to push myself to keep commenting... but I have to admit to some waining interest in general... The election outcome is making me think that the battlefield of ideas is deserted... if not dead and gone. People voted to move socialism from the talk phase to the laboratory.

I had allways hoped we could persuade people that Socialism is a bad idea... but they have convincingly vote for it... there is no going back, there is no way around it... Obamacare is here to stay.

The forces against socialism will eventually be proven right, as they have historically... but it will be at a great cost... one that we may not survive as what we once were.; 11/14/12, 11:01 PM

There was a Russian academic who made a splash a few years back when he said the US is going to collapse and break up into a bunch of small countries the way the USSR did.

Anonymous said...: @McTriumph - Spyder 2000. I learned a lot from that car - Communist steel from Russia is shit, Italian do poorly on brakes, windshield wipers and electrical systems.
