She'll cry harder when she understands the amount of debt this government (and silly voters) have run up in her name. I think its over $50,000 now - not including unfunded liablities.
"And now for our Insufferably Self-Satisfied Comedy Hour! And remember, a silent chuckle is always more sophisticated than a real laugh!" "And now for our White Liberal Upper Middle Class Man's Burden Report!" "And now for some anti-melody bumper music. Erp eep meep mo."
In my life there have been 40 years with both houses of congress Democrat, 10 years with both houses Republican, 10 years with split houses, 18 years with Democrat president and both houses also Democrat, and 2 years with both houses Republican and a Republican president. I think my face looks a lot like that little girl's face right now.
Am I the only one who thinks we're in for a nightmare after this election?
If President Obama wins: we will have a scandalapolooza, as all the stuff that's been covered up or poo-poo'ed finally hits the fan. I think the media may turn on him; some already are; and if Bengazi turns out as bad as many say, it will be bad for him.
And we'll find out just what Obama does when he has maximum "flexibility." Think of the mandates he can impose under Obamacare after the election.
If Romney wins, Obama supporters are going to go nuts. Michael Moore gave us a foretaste: "we'll burn the ****-**** down." They are already preparing the narrative: it was because of vote-suppression.
The Democrats will do to Romney what they blame the GOP for doing: total obstruction. Until and unless the GOP wins a wave of Senate seats in 2014 (and they might, given the lineup), very little legislation will pass.
Sorry, little girl, I think you're going to be crying for awhile longer.
Though, if you read the story about the child, you see she has picked up what NPR wants her to think about the candidates. From http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/OTUS/viral-video-girl-cries-bronco-bamma-mitt-romney/story?id=17610152#.UJJT9rQlah0:
"She talks about Mitt Romney and Barack Obama all the time," Evans continues to tell ABC. "She always says that Obama is the president and that Mitt Romney is a bad guy who just wants money and wants to be the president… She is very precocious."
Bronco Billy McCoy: Now look! I don't take kindly to kids playin' hooky from school. I think every kid in America ought to go to school... at least up to the eighth grade.
Young kid: We don't go to school today, Bronco Billy. It's Saturday!
No worries, Father. When Obama loses, the disenchanted by and large trash their own communities. The more conservative and prudent among us are heavily armed. The entitlement empowered are risk averse. So other than a few late nights on the roof of the shop, no problems. That is unless your church is in the middle of the cauldron.
"She talks about Mitt Romney and Barack Obama all the time," Evans continues to tell ABC. "She always says that Obama is the president and that Mitt Romney is a bad guy who just wants money and wants to be the president… She is very precocious."
Yes, I'm sure it has nothing to do with her parents and their thoughts at all. The child is an independent political thinker at age five. Riiiight.
Heh. I have a sister-in-law (a lapsed Catholic) in NJ, who a few months ago told me, in all seriousness, that when she sees Romney and Ryan together she sees Satan standing with them.
She then proudly informed me a few days later that her four year old said-- completely unprompted-- that if Romney wins he will take away all her toys. My sister-in-law thought it was "a sign"; since she says she has no other idea why her daughter would say such a thing.
She and my brother have both "drunk the koolaid" as they say, and all political discussions become loudly spoken regurgitations of the latest Dem. talking point that they "liked" and forwarded to all their "friends" on facebook . They have no qualms about saying all kinds of nasty things about Republicans in front of their two little girls who are four and five. So reasoning tells you that what the child said is indeed a "sign"-- a sign that she is picking up all the negative talk about Romney from her parents, and interpreting it in a way that a mind that young can identify with.
I found it somewhat sad that a child so young should be so worried about politics. I don't recall ever seriously caring about who won the Presidency until 2004, when I was a ripe old age of 42.

Notice NPR doesn't take responsibility for the anti-Romney negative spin that even a 4 year-old can detect.

Aawwww. Poor thing. Very sweet.
Reminds me of my own little girl, more than 20 years ago.
Damned third party voter! We need them like a redheaded step-child.
Actually, I don't think it will be over soon unless Obama loses. Otherwise we have a real mess on our hands.
Many reasons a child cries. Politics should never be one of them.
Shame on her parents.
I felt the same way in 1956.
Reading the NPR story, it seems the little girl was tired of listening to NPR.
Oh, suck it up and be a man already.
Five more days. Somebody just tell that girl that they love her and she is safe.
Buck up honey, it's almost over. I know how you feel.
She is going to be so disappointed when she finds out that NPR doesn't get any better after the election.
The first election I remember is Kennedy/Nixon. I got pretty tired of it. I don't think I cried at the time.
I should have.
Let me guess... they live in Ohio.
I read that it was a NPR political story that finally tipped the little girl over her political tolerance edge.
I blame her parents torturing her... or is that tutoring?
She'll cry harder when she understands the amount of debt this government (and silly voters) have run up in her name. I think its over $50,000 now - not including unfunded liablities.
Hope she wasn't planning for a comfortable life.
Somebody just tell that girl that they love her and she is safe.
A race to contact the parents for a photo op.
Can we use this thread to rag on NPR?
"And now for our Insufferably Self-Satisfied Comedy Hour! And remember, a silent chuckle is always more sophisticated than a real laugh!"

I like the Bronco Bamma. Reminds me of Buckaroo Banzai and Lash LaRue.
i'm with 'browndog'...what the heck are her parents doing to her ?? what five-year-old gives a rat's behind about bronco bama ?

Don't listen to NPR Freeman, as a result you won't have any need to "rag".
tits.
Does Arkansas actually broadcast NPR...shocking.
"Bronco Bama?" Oh, dear. That might swing Colorado back to the Dems...
How's the Indian husband doing, Titus?
You never seem to mention him anymore.
Does Arkansas actually broadcast NPR...shocking.
Yes, it really is that inartistic of a place.
I dunno.
I think she's already discovered, "Don't let a good crisis go to waste".
She will be high maintenance.
Uncanny, Freeman!
I identify your programs as "Wait, Wait, Don't Tell me" and "This American Life."
Amirite?
And God bless that sweet little girl; my heart melts when the tears overtake her right before she says "yay."
I can't say that my first reaction to a crying child is to start video recording it. This is why I'll never make it big on YouTube.

bagoh20: I don't think it will be over soon unless Obama loses.
Over as in the election is over.
Over as in the country is toast.
Whoever wins, it's over.
It depends on which "it" it is on Nov 6.
And here's what the grownups are going through.
She is going to be so disappointed when she finds out that NPR doesn't get any better after the election.
But no one will be happier in February when the new President takes them off the air.

All joking aside, why is this girl stressed about this?
She must be a Democrat.
