I'm watching, because I'm a political junkie. I'll watch the Dem convention as avidly.
Robert Cook said, To quote R. Crumb, "Why bother?"
One can never get away from the braying of the Republican crypto-fascists...why tune in for an orgy of it?
I won't be watching the Dems' clusterfuck, either.
OK. That's a fair job of papering. These conventions actually do matter, and you, Robert Cook, usually come across as someone who cares about what matters in politics.
Nice to see the usual clap-trap for the Leftists here; 'crypto-facists'? That's the best you can do? Haul out a phrase from the 60s that meant nothing then and STILL means nothing now?
Contemporize, man, contemporize!
I'm watching. On PBS, of all places.
Just saw the Gov. of Nevada politely hand the usual suspects from PBS their collective asses on a plate as he stopped them from using the 'Well, the goverment has done some good' trope - especially from Mark Shields. The Nevada governor said 'Yeah, like land grants.' Too funny.
All, please come to the Oval Room tonight. Drinks are free to all who love the greatest and best POTUS and VPOTUS.
We are playing: We built USA.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TxGGckAc1rs
GOP: DO not lie about me. You took the context out. We will destroy you next week. You said: You like to fire people. Well, we will fire all GOPers. All small businesses who spoke against us, we will send IRS.
Join us. We are the greatest and best. We will bring hope and change. Our motto: FORWARD.
America: Are you ready for FORWARD? Yes, vote for us. Reject Romney and the GOP.
You are lying about me (I did not say: You did not built it.) SO, I am going to teach you a lesson. Next week, at my convention, I will bring all the best people who support me. There will be women from all walks of life.
We will focus on Romney's desire to fire people, Ryan's lack of concern about the poor people, Akin's distaste for women and their health needs, Romney's overseas slush fund, Romney's garage elevators, etc.
It will be all Romney all the time. We will also destroy all the businesses who are using my out-of-context quote.
I will not forget you, bro. Uncle Sam is watching....
We're watching on PBS. The panel repeatedly brings up the race card. When Gingrich suggested that the Republican Party was a big tent, Gwen Iffil and Judy Woodruff scoffed and implied that that was impossible--hint, hint, look at this crowd.
(They should come to a Students for Obama meeting if they want to see a white crowd.)
A lot of cool aid is being quaffed. Obama is ahead. He will probably be more ahead after the democrat convention. This despite the terrible job he has done as president. Drop the euphoria. It is an uphill battle for Romney.
Gov. McDonnell was great. Gov. Haley is doing great. Congressman davis was great. Walker was just OK. So far, I am impressed. The Dems have almost no matches to set against these very impressive people.
I am tired you saying "President Obama is this or that" You lie. You take my out-of-context and use in ads. I will destroy now. The small businesses who say things about me, you are going to be very sorry tomorrow.
I am mad as hell at the GOP. They are liars. They are backward people. There are no women in the GOP. You will see hollywood, bollywood, etc. at my convention.
I am going to destroy Romney who loves to fire people and Ryan who does not care for senior citizens, especially women.
I am going to destroy the GOP at my convention.
Can't wait till next week, please send $3.00 and sign for dinner with me and my family at the WH.
Ann has great presence, but she's rushing her speech, and that's going to make it come across as less genuine...a classic issue for those not comfortable with public speaking.
Oh, for heaven's sake...it's an allusion to Gore Vidal's exchange with William F. Buckley on television decades ago, where Vidal called Buckley a "crypto-Nazi."
In response, Buckley called Vidal a faggot and threatened to sock him.
Meade must have a major hard on watching all these republicans. I hope he doesn't chizz on the walls of the house. Yes, it is very hot and erotic and exciting but please....no chizzing on the walls and all over the house. Perhaps a hobby or actual job would eliminate all the excitement?
Nice to see the usual clap-trap for the Leftists here; 'crypto-facists'? That's the best you can do? Haul out a phrase from the 60s that meant nothing then and STILL means nothing now?
"Contemporize, man, contemporize!"
I'm too far past my youth to use contemporary lingo, so how about I use "timeless" lingo?
"Hateful pricks. Anti-human assholes. Miserable sons o' bitches. Nattering neanderthals of niggardliness."
The Republican Convention is a perfect example of "fake news". Nothing is being accomplished since we've known Romney will be nominee since what February?
"The platform" is irrelevant. Bob Dole said he hadn't read it in '96 and everyone laughed - because it was true.
As for Speeches, Judas Priest, even the delegates don't listen.
I'm watching Ann Romney speak streaming. I've never seen her before. She's gorgeous and glowing, maybe trying a little too hard to hit the notes about how great America and her husband are and how hard they worked to get where they got, but she's authentic enough.
The naysayers will dependably say nay, but this is a great intro to Romney. American voters are going to respond.
"Oh, for heaven's sake...it's an allusion to Gore Vidal's exchange with William F. Buckley on television decades ago, where Vidal called Buckley a "crypto-Nazi."
In response, Buckley called Vidal a faggot and threatened to sock him."
Hell, I'd watch that and probably did as I was an avid Firing Line viewer back in the day.
The Buckley/Galbraith chit/chats were very good as well.

btw, just caught a glimpse of Ann R who is looking straight ahead at a teleprompter, her eyes never veering ie totally insincere, but ((( you all ))) already knew she was an uppity, high brow fraud just like mittens.
Eeeewwww! Gonna' have a hard time getting that picture outta' my mind now. Especially after the shirtless pic's from earlier in the year.
AND...it reminded me of my Aunt, who when it storms, runs around her house sprinkling it with holy water.(I kid you not). Love my aunt, but she's a few turns loose on the lugnuts.
Mia Love is proof of how racist the GOP really is. They will only accept black Mormons. But I thought Crack said Mormons were vicious racists who hated blacks, oh wait I can't keep this all straight in my head.
Again, this is Althouse and her flock's reality ie mittens has to run the table. And Obama can lose OH/VA/NC/FL and still win.
This thing is still Romney's to lose. Not that he can't. But the only reason it looks like a horse race is the media companies doing the polls are heavily oversampling Democrats and polling just anybody instead of likely voters.
We'll see if Lucy Ramirez has any more documents in October, I guess.
btw, just caught a glimpse of Ann R who is looking straight ahead at a teleprompter, her eyes never veering ie totally insincere, but ((( you all ))) already knew she was an uppity, high brow fraud just like mittens.
That's all you got? There's a stench of desperation coming from the left side of the aisle.
You know when I watch a good Dem speech, I often agree with most of the themes, but I doubt most on the left have the same experience with GOP speeches.
The thing is, I know that most conservatives really believe their own stuff, and I know I do. My life is made of it - rags to riches, and take care of other voluntarily. As Ann Romney just said: "It is a privilege".
Alternatively, I don't believe most Democrat Pols believe their themes, or live them, or act upon them. Except for policy and politics, I think they actually more believe and act according to conservative values.
Carnifex: Thanks for the correction. You will find no errors on my speech next week. I will personally destroy the GOPers. Those liars. I will also destroy Elizabeth Warren. I hate Daley for pointing me to her.
Saw Ann Romney's speech and it's obvious why the Lefties are so afraid of her that they felt it necessary to try to neutralize her as early as possible.
She is a dazzler - a real change from dour, angry Moochelle.
No wonder the little animal is trying to belittle her. She scares him, too.
Hell, I'd watch that and probably did as I was an avid Firing Line viewer back in the day.
It wasn't on Firing Line, it was part of ABC's convention coverage.
I saw that exchange, I loved that exchange.
The little animal is no fan of Bill Buckley.
And he and Cook and AP are sounding more and more alike in their desperation.
The "This man will not fail" line struck me as very powerful. She said it in a way that, to me, clearly came from her heart. For people who are truly "on the fence" (if there are any left), Ann Romney just made an excellent and personal argument for her husband's candidacy. I suppose if I was an Obama supporter, it wouldn't sway me in the least...but if I was a smart Obama supporter (if there are any left), I would be nervous about undecided voters comparing the president's record with Mitt's track record and character.
Again, this is Althouse and her flock's reality ie mittens has to run the table. And Obama can lose OH/VA/NC/FL and still win.
Yeah, that's the horse race wisdom if the race is close. If Romney wins by 2% or more of the popular vote, it doesn't matter how the electoral college sorts out.
I'm not so confident that I believe Romney will run away with it by 9% as Reagan did by in 1980, but I do believe that's the model for this year.
"No matter who wins, the next President will be a schmuck and a tool of the 1%".
Oh good, we will stop having to pay 100 times our fare share of taxes, and the half that pay nothing will start pitching in. That will be great, but somehow I don't think the 1% will stop having to carry the country. Who you gonna call, the Occupy crowd?
That's what edutcher calls shiloh, for some reason. I think shiloh really gets under his skin. Kind of like how I get under the skin of the blogstress. She called me fat. Sheesh!
"It wasn't on Firing Line, it was part of ABC's convention coverage."
Didn't say it was as again, apologies re: my tagalong groupie, edutcher.

Honest rhetorical question: Do any of "you" Althouse lemmings actually understand presidential politics and that even if mittens was half the candidate Clinton was, and he ain't, what an uphill battle a clueless liar like mittens has trying to defeat an incumbent.
At least turdblossom understands ie all the unwarranted con voter suppression laws trying to put totally confused willard over the top. And all the con billionaire $$$ changers trying to sway voters w/misleading ads.
Geesh, catch a clue cons! or not.
Indeed as the upper 1% cons are pulling out all the stops this election cycle and what a letdown when mittens loses.
I yield back the balance of my time to peeps who think I'm worried or some such nonsense.
Politics is not business, but it's close, and in business there are men who never fail, or at least not for long, and always come back stronger. It's a pretty good bet with these men that once you give them the job, and if you give them the power, they will succeed every time, and even with men like that it is still a surprise when they do it.
There are others who never really improve what they are put in charge of. They put in time, they talk, they struggle, they move on. If they are ambitious, they still find a way to get trusted over and over with the same result.
I have to say -- I'm pretty disgusted at the way the RNC rewrote the rules to keep Ron Paul's delegates from putting his name up for nomination.
This was a good opportunity for the Republican Party to show that it wasn't afraid of differing opinions within its ranks. It failed.
Romney's win was a foregone conclusion. Why bend the rules to win when winning is guaranteed? Is the welfare-warfare majority of the Republican Party really THAT terrified of someone even mentioning Paul's name? Eesh.
Titus, he would hold you down, and have his way with you without even using his hands, which would be busy stuffing down a ham sandwich. Now, that's hot!
I don't agree with you about context. When I look at that quote in the context of that speech it gets worse. "You didn't build that" is perfectly in context of that speech. It's perfectly in context of all the speeches Obama has given that I have heard. It's perfectly in context in all of the things Obama has written that I have read. And it is perfectly in context of everything I have heard that he has done from his childhood up to now.
How people can make the absurd claim that he was taken out of context I don't understand.
what an uphill battle a clueless liar like mittens has trying to defeat an incumbent.
Defeating an incumbent isn't difficult at all when the economy stinks. That's how Bush lost in '92, Carter in '80, and Hoover in '32. Voters generally don't reward failure; no matter how desperately the incumbent tries to blame other people, voters generally hold him responsible.
The only reason the race is even close is that Romney has the charisma of a halibut.
"Why bend the rules to win when winning is guaranteed?"
That's what cheaters and selfish people do. That's what they call a "fair contest," a "free market," as in, "all's fair" and they're "free" to do as they please to get what they want.
That's what cheaters and selfish people do. That's what they call a "fair contest," a "free market," as in, "all's fair" and they're "free" to do as they please to get what they want.
I see that in addition to not knowing what the word "fascist" means, you are also unclear on "free market" and "selfish". :)
Isn't it Edutcher who's also always going on about "choom"?
In context, I gather he's referring to Obama...but I don't know what the heck it's supposed to mean!
Robert Cook: I try to learn from everyone I read, including people I disagree with. However, I have learned almost nothing from you, garage and shiloh. The three of you come across as simply ignorant and mean-spirited commenters with little or no writing talent.
Choom refers to the Choom Gang, the posse of like-minded high school students which Obama led. They specialized in the high-capacity consumption of marijuana. Obama himself invented the "roof hit" where the gang would smoke and smoke in a parked car with the windows rolled shut. After they had consumed all the herb, they would tilt their heads back and inhale from the marijuan fumes which had risen to the roof of the car.
The "roof hit" is about the only original idea Obama has had, as far as I can tell.
You would know this if you followed the coverage of the David Maraniss book on Obama. Maraniss liked Obama and was bewildered that other people were disenchanted to learn what a stoner Obama was and how much of his memoir was fiction.
Tom, I give the context. It is my decision. Not yours or GOPers. When I say, you are mis-quoting me, then that is what it is. I am the POTUS, not you. I own the WH till Jan. 2017. I am going to bury the GOP and Romney, wait till next week. There will be hollywod and bollywood celebs. We will show that GOP is a party of liars, no women, no minorities, etc. We will show that we are the FOWARD thinking party.
During commercials of other things, I saw: About a minute of Ayotte -- zzzz. A minute or two of Santorum -- zzzz. And a minute or two of Christie -- zzzz.
Lackluster speeches, both in the words said and delivery (take down and burn the damn teleprompters!), and a what-the-hell-is-that backdrop, at least from the very little I could stand to watch.
AJ Lynch said... I bet Obama and Mrs. Obama watched every minute of this tonight."
I think the topic was the convention, not Spanky and Our Gang.
I can now readily see why the primary process was so painful. The GOP actually has nothing but empty suits and that kind of weak bench makes for very boring viewing.
FDR won a landslide in '36 w/unemployment at 16.9%. Why, he inherited a depression and was makin' progress w/a super Dem majority. Obama has done the best he could, inheriting an economic disaster from Bush, w/a do nothing, 10% job approval congress.
Indeed, there's a very good reason cheney/bush weren't at the 2008 convention and won't attend this one as they are viewed as abject failures and cons don't want them reminding anyone lol.
Every presidential election is different ie minority vote is a lot bigger than 1980/1992 ie pundits say in order for mittens to win he needs a bigger % of "white" vote than Bush41 got in 1988.
Stay tuned.
btw, the 1994 MA senate race was basically tied and then the campaign began and Kennedy wiped the floor w/mittens. mittens won the 2002 MA gov race, barely w/49% against a Dem opponent who had a long primary process and no $$$.
And something the Dems wioll mention ad nauseam next week that willard had a ((( 36% job approval rating ))) when he left office in 2006 w/((( no chance ))) for re-election ... hence, ergo, therefore it was a non-starter.
And yes lol mittens is not likable on a good day! Yea, things have changed a tad since 1980 when the cons demi-god, Dutch, won w/50.75%. That election breaking in the last week after the 2nd debate a week before the election. And so there won't be any confusion ~ Romney does not = Reagan.
So recapping, Romney was a total failure in Massacusetts! but, but, but he made a lot of $$$ at Bain by firing a lot of workers and closing companies.
Meade's hog right now is numb. The cock was hard for the past few hours and it shot like 10 times..and it rarely ever shoots, but tonight it was an exception. All the excitement of the republican shit has made him strung out.
He is smoking a cigar right now and still trembling by all the euphoria.
Meadsy, who doesn't work, is awe struck...because he doesn't have a life or job. And this is all he has. And his republican platform hate the fags which makes him really fucking excited.
His goal for tomorrow will be to look for some protest to videotape.
FDR won a landslide in '36 w/unemployment at 16.9%. Why, he inherited a depression and was makin' progress w/a super Dem majority.
Sure, because four years after he entered office, things were better than they had been when he entered.
Things are worse now than the were when Obama entered office. Even though he had a filibuster-proof Democratic majority that greenlighted everything he wanted, even though he spent vastly more money than FDR did, both in absolute and GDP% terms -- things are still worse.
And his sole "solution" is 24/7 whining about why it ain't his fault. :)
Indeed, there's a very good reason cheney/bush weren't at the 2008 convention and won't attend this one as they are viewed as abject failures and cons don't want them reminding anyone lol.
Suuuure, that's why we've been seeing all those "Miss Me?" signs the past 2 years.
lol that one.
The reason he was away last time was a little problem caused by the Democrats called the housing collapse.
Y'know, the one created by the little animal's favorite sociopath and rapist, William Jefferson Blyth III
And the little animal's Messiah, Choomie himself, was one of the handmaidens on that one.
So recapping, Romney was a total failure in Massacusetts! but, but, but he made a lot of $$$ at Bain by firing a lot of workers and closing companies.
Lie on both counts. Romney improved schools and cut unemployment while keeping taxes low.
He also saved companies that employ thousands of people like Staples and Baskin-Robbins.
Pretty effective opening night, thanks mainly to Obambi's foolish "you didn't build that" line, which sure fired up all the people who heard it. Unfortunately, it fired them up for Romney.
He also is making himself look even more puny by going out and mocking the GOP while campaigning. Shouldn't he be in the Oval Office fixing the effing country?? At least till the GOP is done attacking him for being incompetent?
yep. Forcing banks to make high risk laons to people with no credit combined with high rank pols/dems running off with all the money at Fannie and Freddie -- that all started with Bill Clinton.
You won't hear about it from anyone in our silly media.
Gotta wonder, why do people actually direct counter- arguments to AP? Meade or not, the dude is transparently satirizing the Frozen Chosen. It's not even subtle.
The GOP actually has nothing but empty suits and that kind of weak bench makes for very boring viewing.
Hmmm - "weak bench." Let me see, Scott Walker, Mia Love, Paul Ryan, Bobby Jindal, Nikki Haley, Marco Rubio, Scott Brown, Chris Christie - I'm sure I'm leaving a few out. All under 50.
(And nobody has mentioned the great trade the GOP just picked up - 2008 Obama co-chair Artur Davis, who gave a terrific speech tonight. Oh, yeah, you guys got - Orange Crist. My, how nice for you.)
Now let's look at the bench Lindsay evidently thinks is a great starting lineup. Botox "I see dead feminists" Pelosi, Harry ("Proof? I don't need no stinkin' proof") Reid, Fauxahontas of Harvard, Debbie Wasserperson-Schultz (aka the best thing to happen to the GOP this year), and Joe "choo-choo" Biden. Yep, Lindsay, there's a real dazzling collection of brains and youthful vitality.

I remember when Rudy Giuliani spoke at the 2004 convention. I felt that speech turned the whole momentum against Kerry. Chris Christie didn't do anything like that. Chris Christie was just promoting himself. Poor Romney got jerked over by the Jersey fat-ass. LOL
Christie obviously is not a plain white bread person. He responded to the question in the air with a nice revelation about his Sicilian mother etc. But he also did two very interesting things. This convention is supposed to appeal to the undecided woman. He gave priority of place to his mother, 'She was the driver in the automobile of our life and dad was the passenger' giving equal rights to women to lead and make their own decisions. And then he said she was, and he would be, a 'truth teller.' The fact that he said something nonstandard about his parents reinforced that going forward in his talk.

No, the media let you know it was breaking for Ronnie.
I read somewhere Carter knew it was over 3 weeks before the election.
Okay people give Juan Williams a break. He was a decent enough guy before he got canned by NPR. Now he works for Rupert Murdoch who has him doing this Stepin Fetchit routine because he's black and thats what Murdoch sees Fox viewers as wanting. I see a lot of frustration in Williams face as he does his stupid liberal schtick. And make no mistake this is schtick. Ask Alan Colmes, and Bob(I can't say fuck on tv?)Bennet.
Next @ Titus
Man you are gong to have to stop. I have an open stomach wound and all this belly laughing is killing me. Please...for the love of God...stop already!

AP is a satirist... learn to like it. I honestly don't know which way he leans but his over the top insider stuff is killer.

I ain't watchin' it either. Went shopping and then took the step daughter out to dinner to see her new car(used but sweet mercury mariner). While there I learned something.
I had always assumed that Vienna Sausages were the quintessential southern redneck food of the gods. But I saw something that revolutionized my way of thinking.
Oh, and let's not forget John "Magic Hat" Kerry, Hillary, who looks like a mad cat lady these days, and Slick. Unfortnately, Silky Pony Edwards has fallen out of disfavor for some mysterious reason.
Yeah, all that shiny new talent and their shiny new ideas.
I'm surprised Bill didn't show up in Tampa, what with all the Code Pink womyn running around dressed as vajayjays. (They demand RESPECT!) You'd think it would be like a salmon spotting a lure.
Unfortunately, as Althouse will tell 'ya superficiality counts for a lot and Luca Brasi er Christie just ain't that appealing. What he had to say notwithsatnding.
Isn't it just sad that Althouse, in coordination with Instapundit (as usual), make a big to-do about Mia Love. Oh, look, there's no racism going on, they applauded someone with dark skin! LOL! After the Republican Party has spent four year making racist attacks on Obama. Althouse is also busy promoting the movie by Dinesh D'Souza, who is a hardcore racist of the lowest order, but can get away with more than a white person because he's from India.
In Churchill's England 1940, people stood up to the Blitz. These were the same people who supported Chamberlain's sellout at Munich only three years before. The Republicans are trying to make a similar turn around in this country, trying to turn people from being "Magnificent Ambersons" into being just a down to earth group that says: "you know what, we've spent too much and we have to fix it."
The Magnificent Ambersons were a family in novel who were so locked into the vision of their own magnificence that they could not prevent their decline. That's how the Democrats strike me now - they are so locked into their vision of their magnificent social redemption of us all that they can't see they are ruining schools, cities, states, budgets, the future because there is no way to pay for what they mandate.
Rudy Giuliani was the keynote speaker in 2008, not 2004. In 2008 Rudy made his speech mostly about McCain. Tom Brokaw reminded everyone on the MSNBC panel that the keynote speech in 2004 by Barack Obama was mostly about Barack Obama.
I didn't watch it, but I can read the text now at Drudge, so let's do a running commentary --
Starting out, Christie is all "me, me, me, I, I, I."
Next he goes on the "greatest lesson Mom ever taught me." Apparently his mom was Machiavelli, "it is better to be respected than loved." He tries to make that a half-assed joke that she was talking about interpersonal relationships with women, but if that is the case, Christie has a seriously distorted idea of what love is. In any event, he goes on to suggest that somehow a desire to be loved is a bad thing for a leader.
Love is bad. How inspiring.
Moving on, he clarifies that it is a leader's desire for popularity that can be bad. Good point, but if that is what he meant, why the dumb-ass slam of love? More clarification: what he means is that leaders need to say "no" more often.
We're the people of "NO!" How inspiring again.
"Tonight, we choose respect over love." Again with trashing love? WTF? That's your rallying cry? No to love! "We are not afraid. We are taking our country back (from love)."
He goes on to talk about various people who broke their backs to build the country, but then he says, "Now we must lead the way our citizens live." Oh, apparently, that "we" means our leaders, not the everyday people who built the country. Christie does not say it, but implicit in such a thought is the Obama idea that America's success comes from its leadership.
How about instead of leading with "no," you just get the hell out of the way? Inspire us with pledging to get government off of people's backs.
But is that he says next? "No." Next he inspires us with, not freedom, but the hard truth of sacrifice! Our leaders are going to demand more and take more from us.
More me, me, me, I did this and I did that, and then "the people of New Jersey stepped up and shared in the sacrifice . . . I know this simple truth and I'm not afraid to say it: our ideas are right for America. . . . We believe in telling hard working families the truth about our country's fiscal realities. . . . Mitt Romney will tell us the hard truths we need to hear." No! Sacrifice!
How is that for inspiring the troops? Stands right up there with "Mr. Reagan will raise taxes, and so will I. He won't tell you. I just did.”
After echoing Mondale, Christie then goes back to echoing Obama, "It's a moment like this where some skeptics wonder if American greatness is over. How those who have come before us had the spirit and tenacity to lead America to a new era of greatness in the face of challenge."
America's greatness comes from its leaders! Government is the answer to our problem! None of this Reaganesque freeing people from government "leadership" to be able to prosper for Christie.
"Tonight, our duty is to tell the American people the truth. . . . We all must share in the sacrifice."
Sacrifice! Pay up! Do without! You didn't fuck up this country, but you sure as hell are going to pay for fixing it.
Then Christie doesn't want his children and grandchildren to have second-class citizenship, but a second American Century. Huh? A "second" American Century? Linguistically, whatever he means here, what is said is that we should be "second." He's being too sly here, whatever he means by an "American Century." (Does he mean that Romney will foster a hundred years of American exceptionalism? Sure, it is not calling for a thousand-year Reich, but that's an overstatment just a bit, don't you think?)
Nearing the end now, with more Christie-centrism, "If you're willing to stand up with me for America's future, I will stand up with you. . . . If you're willing to hear the truth about the hard road ahead, and the rewards for America that truth will bear, I'm here to begin with you this new era of truth-telling." (Will he end with "I accept the nomination"??)
"Together, we stand up once again for American greatness" by saying No! Sacrifice! Love is bad!
What a horrific speech. Glad I didn't watch it. You don't want love Christie? Well, you sure as hell ain't going to get it after this -- and you ain't getting any respect from me either. I cannot envision even ONE undecided person standing up and saying "Alright! Yes! Go Romney! We want No! We want Sacrifice." after hearing this.
LoafingOaf asserted: Chris Christie was just promoting himself. Poor Romney got jerked over by the Jersey fat-ass. LOL
I didn't see Christie's speech but I just finished reading the whole transcript. He must have botched the delivery (rare for CC? ) because I thought the transcript flowed and was hung together quite well.
Not sure how it "hurt" Romney, but then again this is LoafingOaf who reliably spews venom towards his American enemies.
There were way more than a couple of times each during Chris Christie's speech when his serious face and his can't-contain-it-twinkle reminded so profoundly of when he and I overlapped on student government together at the University of Delaware 30-odd years ago.
A University of Colorado analysis of state-by-state factors leading to the Electoral College selection of every U.S. president since 1980 forecasts that the 2012 winner will be Mitt Romney.
The key is the economy, say political science professors Kenneth Bickers of CU-Boulder and Michael Berry of CU Denver. Their prediction model stresses economic data from the 50 states and the District of Columbia, including both state and national unemployment figures as well as changes in real per capita income, among other factors.
“Based on our forecasting model, it becomes clear that the president is in electoral trouble,” said Bickers, also director of the CU in DC Internship Program.
According to their analysis, President Barack Obama will win 218 votes in the Electoral College, short of the 270 he needs. And though they chiefly focus on the Electoral College, the political scientists predict Romney will win 52.9 percent of the popular vote to Obama’s 47.1 percent, when considering only the two major political parties.
Well, they could be wrong this year, for the first time in 32 years. Then, again, maybe not.
OK ....to my Boston brother-in law who sat there reading Rachel Maddow's book "Drift" while I - a Madison-ite sat across from him reading Klein's "The Amateur"....while we were vacationing with dozens of family members wherein we resolved to abandon politics.....but we kind of got our digs in via book covers - LOL ....I challenge him and all of you to explain why MSNBC tonight cut short any speech given by minority speakers from the GOP Convention.
Orwell 101...I have a link here to this report but it seems to be a very slow, unprepared for many inquiries site called Red Alert Politics.
Here is the link: http://tinyurl.com/cn6m325
And if you can't get their story....and I suspect you can not....just consider the Pravda like, palace guard media implications of blocking out the media voice at all from the GOP convention.
If you check out liberal sites at all - you would know they all got the memo to talk about how white the GOP is.....we need to be aware of the subtext and what is not spoken, or told, folks.
And this Democratic Party has gone way over to Orwellian Big Brother (surveillance) society - IMHO.
Wow. Bender. I know that we have disagreed on some things before. I know that we have clashed. I also have respected so much of what you have said (while, it is true, very much disagreeing with how you present your argument, assuming that your intent is to bring others into the fold). This strikes me as a whole different fork in the path. Well, forks are strikingly obvious, challenging elements of topography. Who would say otherwise? Not I.
Attempted vandalism of Mia Love's Wikipedia page tonight; writes she's a dirty whore - http://furtheradventuresofindigored.blogspot.com/2012/08/mia-love-at-rnc-convention.html
Giuliani also spoke at the 2004 convention. It was the best speech of the whole event. Here, let me be like an Althouse Hillbilly: Giuliani also spoke at the 2004 convention, IDIOT.
And he talked about why you should vote for Bush and why you shouldn't vote for Kerry in very hard-hitting fashion.
Giuliani also spoke at the 2004 convention. It was the best speech of the whole event. Here, let me be like an Althouse Hillbilly: Giuliani also spoke at the 2004 convention, IDIOT.

Oh how I wish Rudy would have run a non half-assed campaign in 2008.
Sorry all - after I posted my link, I checked it (to Red Alert Politics) and they have completely crashed.....
you know.....ironically.
They had their like fifteen minutes in the Twittersphere and then sadly - extinguished like a mere flame on any night of many....
Sorry for the false alert. I so wish there were a site called Orwell where we could all go and get the "capture" and "commentary" from the wonderfully crazy person who runs the site - one who obviously has no job or life to speak of.
Time for an cafe thread. I want Chip Ahoy's comments about that Nebraska boy that is not allowed to sign his name in school because the registered sign looks like a gun--banned under zero tolerance.
This is the first time I've ever be exposed to any extended remarks from Christie.
A lot of people have been saying for a while that Christie is a counterfeit conservative (e.g. Mark Levin, Andy McCarthy). I can see it here, even without considering Christie's calls for bipartisanship and compromise that I left out of the analysis.
Apparently, you can't possibly be done bitching about me.
By the way, if there is anyone with a worse picture than The Hat, a picture that so perfectly proves him to be a putz, it is surely the Masked Stalker.
Oh, "beclowned" is one of those Instapundit words. I see instapundit tonight is busy making a big to-do about a couple people of minority race found at the Republican convention. The rest of you are busy all excited that Dinesh D'Souza is a man with darker skin who is playing to your racism about Obama. Yeah, he's an alien, a foreigner, an anti-American. Sure.
What I find saddest of all is that Althouse is defending Dinesh D'Souza when D'Souza has clearly stated that those who give social sanction to homosexuals and gay marriage are enemies of America and they caused 9/11. How does Althouse explain this to her gay son?
I want to know how LoafingOaf keeps a straight face around here when he only goes off the handle regarding gay marriage, Sarah Palin, criticism of Obama, pot-smoking, and what's next?--circumcision?
The Romster's been specific. Heard of that 59 point plan on the economy?
Yes, although given your description of it I'm guessing you never read it. He pulls the same old crap of cutting the deficit (on paper) by assuming prolonged record growth plus hundreds of billions of dollars in magical savings from "empowering states" and "eliminating waste and fraud".
Political pixie dust. Now, granted, Obama hasn't offered even that much. But anyone who takes Romney's plan seriously is an idiot.
1 my folks were looming for promoters and did not see them, so I am surprised by your remarks there.
2 as often as you dump on limbaugh for fatness, your having the same height and weight is truly ironic. Probably your own self-hatred is easy to project at him. I feel you can continue dangling from that petard until you eat some dirt, there.
3 How's the puppy? See, that dog is a credential for your own humanity. Having him makes you seem like a better person. Treat him well. ;)
Shiloh,
Whatever the content of what you say, which is getting harder and harder to read as your hebephrenia apparently grows, what is always clear is that you are a nasty fellow with no redeeming qualities. I ask not as a threat but simply for information, is there any reason you should not die? Are you good to your mother? Your dog if you have one? Charity much? Important job? Do you do anything for any other living being?
I yield back the balance of my time, asshole. Oh wait. Speaking of assholes, what did to say about Ann that has made you a marked man, poor thing? Anything you care to repeat or have you withdrawn it?
Now you can talk again and waste everybody's time.
Cook,
1 Your ignorance is neither laudable nor our fault. As others have said, Google is your friend. Assuming your ignorance is sincere and not wilful.
2 No fool like an old fool, eh? I just saw a guy like you who had the shit beaten out of him the other day, face all purple like a baboon's. Not about politics, the guy was just so annoying his junkie roommate went over the edge. 67 years old and the guy beats him like a drum-terrible. Again, not a threat, just that it might behoove you to live more in the real world. He didn't think it would happen to him either.
Bender,
On which drug have you overdosed? I'm thinking IV amphetamines.
Althouse is defending Dinesh D'Souza when D'Souza has clearly stated that those who give social sanction to homosexuals and gay marriage are enemies of America and they caused 9/11. How does Althouse explain this to her gay son
"Son, I'm sure you already know this -- but I sometimes go hours or even days at a time without worrying what people think of your sex life".
Uh, Bender, let me say that I do not 100% disagree. But your tone is just vicious!
Also it might benefit you to realize that here in NY he has wide popularity/respect, and may appeal to voters who are not you. Both my parents, reliable Dem voters, were impressed with him.
Today I saw a bunch of people stand up and say they love their country and are, frankly, worried about the direction it's headed. These people had real ideas for how to solve problems in America. And, gave us enough respect to tell us it won't be easy and it will require saying no to unnecessary spending.
I also saw people parading around in vagina costumes, planning a forum for Islam to give advice to the Democrat party, and ginning up false political advertisements. They're pretending Obama hasn't come within an inch of destroying our economy, selling us down the river to Vladimir (when he has more "leeway") and bowing to tinpot dictators. To prove the absolute emptiness of their position they focus on fear, hate, lies and distortions instead of their record. They have no soul and it's painfully obvious.
Nichevo -- What you have to understand is that Bender is a whiny bitch. He has bitched and whined about Romney. He has bitched and whined about Ryan. Ryan, you see, is not fiscally conservative enough.
And now we have Bender bitching and moaning about Christie.
The guy is a bitchy moaner. He's never going to be happy. He's just going to pollute the world with his whines.
All that said, it is hilarious. I myself picture a very old man with Coke-bottle glasses and a computer from last century. And a yard that gets vandalized often by those damned kids in the neighborhood who don't show respect the way his generation did, back before the War and the color television.
And, gave us enough respect to tell us it won't be easy and it will require saying no to unnecessary spending.
Was this before, or after, they approved the platform planks calling for devoting federal spending to cracking down on consensual adult porn and online gambling? :)
"Now you can talk again and waste everybody's time."
Apparently like edutcher, Nichevo is fascinated by everything I post. Otherwise he would easily skip over them. Indeed, I obviously struck a nerve as he goes out of his way to be ostentatiously noticed.
"But your tone is just vicious!"
Nichevo's irony is duly noted.
>
Skipping over posts is a rather simple process, except for the truly obsessed! But since I'm wasting everyone's time, surely no one will read this, let alone comment.
Like wow, Shiloh thinks I am fascinated by him, and that he struck a nerve.
I've literally never heard that before! The imagination! The originality! The mind reels! At the novelty of having any response one dares make to Shiloh's drivel characterized as fixation!
(that's how you do irony son. I laid it on thick so you might get it)
Did that work for you in fourth grade? Because that is almost as good as "I know you are but what am I!"
Literally and non-ironically, what is your purpose here? I don't understand people like you.

Yes. :)
Yes. :)
Is it on any regular networks? - or only Fox News/CNN cable news?
Go to CSPAN
Prof., I am watching at YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/gopconvention2012.
All I hear are lies: The greatest and best POTUS did not say: You did not build it. It was out of context. We will turn this around at our convention.
We will destroy Romney and GOP. All the GOPers who are lying about us, we will destroy them and their businesses next week.
This is our White House till Jan. 2017. Kapish!
Only interested in seeing what Chris Christie's got to say. Meanwhile, watching Justin Verlander get lit up. :o
Will The Dem convention be on regular networks?
Since the manistream media are in the tank and the mask is totally off?
To quote R. Crumb, "Why bother?"
One can never get away from the braying of the Republican crypto-fascists...why tune in for an orgy of it?
I won't be watching the Dems' clusterfuck, either.
Not only no, but hell no.
No.
I won't be watching the one next week either. Like most folks, judging from the polls, I already have made up my mind.
Think of it this way, Professor and Meade, you're watching so I can keep on doing work.
We're watching on CSPAN.
Again, this is Althouse and her flock's reality ie mittens has to run the table. And Obama can lose OH/VA/NC/FL and still win.
And Obama ain't losing OH & VA.
Happy convention viewing. US Open Tennis on ESPN2.
the braying of the Republican crypto-fascists
It is clear you do not know what the word "fascist" means. :)
But whatever. Never mind. Ignore it.
Where are the Mia Loves, Nikki Haleys on the Dimocratic side?
Not a bump on the road... that Obamas bus rolled over.
There is a good ad out there by an abortion survivor.
Santorum, ugh.. changing channels to watch Maigret!
Republican message tonight....leave us alone and let us work hard and prosper. Or fail, but let us do it.
The Nevada governor said 'Yeah, like land grants.' Too funny.
i'd rather scrub a toilet or something than watch either convention.
CSPAN is the place to watch. No commentators, no commercials.
"I shook the hand of the American dream, and it has a strong grip."
--Rick Santorum, just now
All the GOPers who are lying about us, we will destroy them and their businesses next week.
This is our White House till Jan. 2017. Kapish!
Ha! I just love America's Politico.
CSPAN is the place to watch. No commentators, no commercials.
Nope - watching "All In The Family" reruns.
Seems more pertinent,...
--And Obama ain't losing OH & VA--
They'll be ACORN'd. It's the only way to win.
It is clear you do not know what the word "fascist" means.
It's not clear from that one comment.
He might just think "crypto" means "anti".
I never saw Ted before.. walked away from the teleprompter.
So far, so good. I do want to hear Ann Romney, but the real fireworks was from Walker and Kasich - they're the guys in the trenches.
Again, this is Althouse and her flock's reality ie mittens has to run the table. And Obama can lose OH/VA/NC/FL and still win.
And Obama ain't losing OH & VA.
More like the other way around. All of Zero's leads are disappearing even before the conventions.
All tied in OIHO. And Zero's 10 point lead in IA is now down to 2.
The little animal sounds more and more like AP every day.
GOPers:
You are lying about me (I did not say: You did not built it.) SO, I am going to teach you a lesson. Next week, at my convention, I will bring all the best people who support me. There will be women from all walks of life.
We will focus on Romney's desire to fire people, Ryan's lack of concern about the poor people, Akin's distaste for women and their health needs, Romney's overseas slush fund, Romney's garage elevators, etc.
It will be all Romney all the time. We will also destroy all the businesses who are using my out-of-context quote.
I will not forget you, bro. Uncle Sam is watching....
Nope - watching "All In The Family" reruns.
Since we are in the process of cutting off our Dish and going Roku, I'm fine tuning my Pandora stations while surfing around on the net.
After dinner we will watch another episode of Sherlock. I'll catch the clips of the speeches tomorrow or maybe later....or not.
Life is much better without being bombarded by the "news".
:-D
I will not forget you, bro. Uncle Sam is watching....
Jeezo-peeps, AP! Your fascist tendencies have slipped from crypto to fucking, in-our-face overt.
Poor ill educated hate vessel.
Sorry I'm rearranging my sock drawer, its much more interesting.
Gov. McDonnell was great. Gov. Haley is doing great. Congressman davis was great. Walker was just OK. So far, I am impressed. The Dems have almost no matches to set against these very impressive people.
No, I am watching porno.
GOPers:
DBQ,
Watching Sherlock is a great choice. So clever and wonderful characters and acting. I only wish there were more than 3 episodes per seasons.
"These conventions actually do matter...."
No. They don't.
It's on ABCCBSNBCPBS now.
Ann has great presence, but she's rushing her speech, and that's going to make it come across as less genuine...a classic issue for those not comfortable with public speaking.
Yeah, the Republican speakers are having a good night. The lady from Puerto Rico rocked.
"It's not clear from that one comment.
"He might just think
'crypto' means 'anti.'"
Oh, for heaven's sake...it's an allusion to Gore Vidal's exchange with William F. Buckley on television decades ago, where Vidal called Buckley a "crypto-Nazi."
In response, Buckley called Vidal a faggot and threatened to sock him.
Cookie:
Will you do like you did in previous years and write in "Lenin's" name on your ballot?
What was up with the chanting when Fonalledas tried to speak?
Meade must have a major hard on watching all these republicans. I hope he doesn't chizz on the walls of the house. Yes, it is very hot and erotic and exciting but please....no chizzing on the walls and all over the house. Perhaps a hobby or actual job would eliminate all the excitement?
Ann Romney reminds me of Bree Van de Kamp. Her son was gay. Like you Titus.
Ann Romney is nailing it.
Just flipped over from the 10 PM news to catch Ann Romney --
She doesn't sound like Michelle Obama.
America's Politico/Titus/who-whatever ... All small businesses who spoke against us, we will send IRS...
Spoken like a true dictatorship. Will the trains also run on time and the unilaterally determined unfit be sent away to camps?
@AP
Usually I am the one being schooled but...it's spelled capisce. An alternative form is capiche(I would surmise that is the Americanized version).
Otherwise, I'm glad to see you back up to speed. Keep on keeping on.
Ciao(pronounced chow)
"Cookie. Will you do like you did in previous years and write in 'Lenin's' name on your ballot?"
You must have me confused with your mudda.
Watch out, Michelle. Watch out, Barack. You've got competition.
I really hate Elizabeth Warren. Why did my Chief of Staff Daley suggested that I borrow her quote? Now, I am mis-quoted by the GOP. Those liars.
I hate the GOP. I cannot wait till next week. Elizabeth, please do not talk about me. You created my mess.
All, please send $3.00 and join for dinner.
>
This. Man. Will. Not. Fail.
@Titus
Wow. That was a home run.
"This. Man. Will. Not. Fail."
I'm. So. Sorry. You. Suffered. A. Head. Injury.
When. Will. You. Be. Able. To. Learn. To. Use. A. Fork. And. A. Spoon. Again?
After four years of teleprompter jokes, guess what arena is filled with them right now? Didn't even try to minimize, or hide them. Haha.
Mia Love is proof of how racist the GOP really is. They will only accept black Mormons. But I thought Crack said Mormons were vicious racists who hated blacks, oh wait I can't keep this all straight in my head.
Crack - help us here.
GOP attendee ejected for throwing nuts at African American CNN camera woman + saying "This is how we feed animals.
AP/Cook/Shiloh - LOL, I can smell your panic.
Panic?
More like despair.
No matter who wins, the next President will be a schmuck and a tool of the 1%, and we all lose.
Teleprompter tallies are all garage has tonight.
The few minutes I have watched (trying to watch Mis Love too - though had to stop for Christie) are quite upbeat and positive.
Nice.
It's Fen's law.
Carnifex: Thanks for the correction. You will find no errors on my speech next week. I will personally destroy the GOPers. Those liars. I will also destroy Elizabeth Warren. I hate Daley for pointing me to her.
Did Meade climax when Santorum talked about marriage?
Has the mystery speaker been announced yet? I hope its one of our former standard bearers:
Bush I
Bush II
McCain
Dole
--I really hate Elizabeth Warren. Why did my Chief of Staff Daley suggested that I borrow her quote?---
Don't borrow her cabbie!
I've gotta know...who is "the little animal"?
Condi Rice is the only blacky or colored in the entire hall. American's Past, right here on stage, with huge cowboy boots and huge blonde hair.
I've gotta know...who is "the little animal"?
That's what edutcher calls shiloh, for some reason. I think shiloh really gets under his skin. Kind of like how I get under the skin of the blogstress. She called me fat. Sheesh!
P.S. shiloh is a Garanimal.
>
"This man will not fail"
Politics is not business, but it's close, and in business there are men who never fail, or at least not for long, and always come back stronger. It's a pretty good bet with these men that once you give them the job, and if you give them the power, they will succeed every time, and even with men like that it is still a surprise when they do it.
There are others who never really improve what they are put in charge of. They put in time, they talk, they struggle, they move on. If they are ambitious, they still find a way to get trusted over and over with the same result.
Your call.
Coming from a man who can't say no to a second and third helping .
that man is fucking fat and he is the face of republicans.
Fucking fat, old, white and butt ugly.
Mia Love rocked!
Isn't it Edutcher who's also always going on about "choom"?
In context, I gather he's referring to Obama...but I don't know what the heck it's supposed to mean!
Mr. Skinny Mom-Jeans Daddy Issues is spending us into oblivion.
I'll take the fat dude.
Eesh.
Bah. Gary Johnson in 2012! :)
Now it is time to tune into CNN and see their librul gang crapping in their pants.
Titus, he would hold you down, and have his way with you without even using his hands, which would be busy stuffing down a ham sandwich. Now, that's hot!
Tits - big sweaty tits.
"He will not fail." We'll see. The first test is if he can get elected.
New Jersey Governor Chris Christie was fantastic.
Ann Romney was fantastic.
Let the leftwing lies and bile commence.
America's Politico,
I don't agree with you about context.
Yours,
Tom
what an uphill battle a clueless liar like mittens has trying to defeat an incumbent.
Great speech by Christie, really brought the house down.
These people are stoked and it's going to be interesting to see if the Choom gang can get that kind of enthusiasm going.
I kinda doubt it.

That's what edutcher calls shiloh, for some reason. I think shiloh really gets under his skin.
No, but he said something really vicious about Ann, something way over the line that, say, neither garage or Cook would say.
And, I think I'm the one that gets under his skin - that's why he tries to dismiss me as a groupie, because I blow all of his lies out of the water.

Maybe that our perfect little Messiah is a phony wire-to-wire (you can get behind this).
I was so hoping Chris Christie would rip Obama a new one tonight - something to remember for the rest of our lives.
Maybe the speculation is correct that Sarah Palin will be the "mystery" speaker Thursday night. She's got the cajones to do it.
The neo-fascist leftardz are going into leftwing racist rage on Mia Love's wiki page.

That's what cheaters and selfish people do. That's what they call a "fair contest," a "free market," as in, "all's fair" and they're "free" to do as they please to get what they want.
I see that in addition to not knowing what the word "fascist" means, you are also unclear on "free market" and "selfish". :)
Couple points.
In the interest of accuracy, it was actually a "queer" that he called Vidal after the crypto nazi statment.
Secondly, she did not say that Garage is fat, she correctly pointed out that he is obese.
Which you are, fatty.
Juan Williams called Ann Romney a corporate wife. What heartless universe is he from?
I bet Obama and Mrs. Obama watched every minute of this tonight.

About a minute of Ayotte -- zzzz.
America's Politico,
I am one of 300 million people who out rank the POTUS. If I say it is in context it is in context, because I am Obama's boss.

I think the topic was the convention, not Spanky and Our Gang.
I can now readily see why the primary process was so painful. The GOP actually has nothing but empty suits and that kind of weak bench makes for very boring viewing.
"Juan Williams called Ann Romney a corporate wife. What heartless universe is he from?"
Yeah, that comment was really confusing!

"Voters generally don't reward failure"

I yield back the balance of my time to Revenant
The problem isn't the Republican bench. The problem is that they're having to feign enthusiasm about Mitt Romney.
He's a good businessman and an apparently decent person. But he's as exciting as Wonder Bread.
Juan Williams recognizes Obama has been a failure as president. And Juan is desperate to say anything to defend Obama and criticze Romney & Ryan.
Lindsey, you do not make a good rebuttal merely by projecting.

god forbid, we have to rely on a good argument and reasoned policies.
No, we have to rely on the only thing the Democrats have left - empty suits with charisma.
Jack Kennedy, Willie Whitewater, Choomie - they all left the country in worse shape, but they sure had charisma.
Mitt was a big success in MA. But he was also a Republican in MA. One term is not a mystery.

Based on the reaction to Christie's speech it looks like Mitt made another great decision in not picking him for VP.
The GOP actually has nothing but empty suits and that kind of weak bench makes for very boring viewing.
It will be good to vote for a president and not an American Idol.
Titus, boring and totally not fab.
god forbid, we have to rely on a good argument and reasoned policies.
If voters relied on good argument and reasoned policies, neither Romney nor Obama would win this election.
Their polices are best summarized as "I'll fix things but I won't say how" and "I would fix things, somehow, if Republicans didn't exist at all".
What, O, what did Little Zero ever do?
Altgeld Gardens?
Pretty effective opening night, thanks mainly to Obambi's foolish "you didn't build that" line, which sure fired up all the people who heard it. Unfortunately, it fired them up for Romney.
He also is making himself look even more puny by going out and mocking the GOP while campaigning. Shouldn't he be in the Oval Office fixing the effing country?? At least till the GOP is done attacking him for being incompetent?
Or maybe he wants to lose.

And then his lousy policies took hold and protracted the Depression so it took a World War to fix it.
And, guess what?
After that, he had a whole lot harder time getting re-elected.

Your avatar looks like you are bored a lot.
Unfortunately, as Althouse will tell 'ya superficiality counts for a lot and Luca Brasi er Christie just ain't that appealing. What he had to say notwithsatnding.
Keep your friends close, but your enemies closer.
Oaf - you just beclowned yourself with more "the boy who cried wolf".
After the Republican Party has spent four year making racist attacks on Obama
Name one, douchebag.
But, anyway, I coined blacklash back in 2008 just for tools like Oaf. And here he trots it out, on cue.
Enjoy the defeat. It's going to be awesome. It's going to be annoying to hear you scream racism for years, but awesome just the same.
Douchebag.
(to be continued)
@ oaf
Who is the racist here?
(continued)
This is part of why I still respect Chris.
Strange bedfellows, Bender and LoafingOaf.
Poor, poor Bender. First Romney was nominated. Then it was Paul Ryan. Now this Christie speech.
It's all terrible. Turrible! All of it.
What a sad, sorry, whiny old coot you are. Hilarious, too, though. Keep it up. And make sure those kids stay off your lawn.
*waves at r,l*
And then there is this:
http://www.colorado.edu/news/releases/2012/08/22/analysis-election-factors-points-romney-win-university-colorado-study-says

Oaf - you just beclowned yourself
OafingLoaf proves that if you can't attack the message, attack the messenger.
Hey - I knew someone else would pick up the link I sent you all about MSNBC cutting out all the minority voices from their GOP convention coverage:
Katie Pavlich at Townhall has this tonight:
http://townhall.com/tipsheet/katiepavlich/2012/08/28/pathetic_msnbc_cuts_speeches_given_by_minorities_at_rnc_from_coverage
Frankly all you ACKU Types - this should be a big deal. And I - BTW - am an ACLU type.
And it's a big deal to me.
How does Althouse explain this to her gay son?
Tatalgia's a pimp. He could never have outfought Santino.
But I didn't know until this day that Oaf was John Edwards all along.
After the Republican Party has spent four year making racist attacks on Obama
Is there such a thing as a non-racist attack on Obama? Can you give an example? :)
Garage,
1 my folks were looming for promoters and did not see them, so I am surprised by your remarks there.
Something like that, I'm guessing. :)
Ann. Was. Wonderful.
And I think we all know I mean, for once, Ann Romney. :)
Cheers,
Victoria
Victoria
(The good one)
Wonderful to see you again!
Yeah. Holy shit. Hey Victoria. Putting up with these ranting ass clowns just became worthwhile.
Fabulous to see you.
Ann Romney: "I said tonight I wanted to talk to you about love. Look into your hearts. This is our country. This is our future."
Chris Christie: "Tonight, we choose respect over love."
She gave a good, nice speech. He's an ass.
I don't know if her good, nice speech won any votes, but he's still an ass.
Where you been Victoria?
Uh, Bender, let me say that I do not 100% disagree. But your tone is just vicious!
Also it might benefit you to realize that here in NY he has wide popularity/respect, and may appeal to voters who are not you. Both my parents, reliable Dem voters, were impressed with him.
Politics is just one good time after another.
Yes, welcome back Vic!
Hey, Victoria!
Regards,
reader_iam
Oh, do stay for a while Victoria.
Aaaaaaaaaannnnnnnndddddddd
Heeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrreeeeeeeeee'sssssRevanant!
Eager and anxious to prove my point re distortions and fear.
>
Oops!
