According to my Facebook-poll engine plus the super-K-street consultants, Romney has no advantage.

It seems that the election is over. POTUS Obama will win the reelection like Reagan won against Mondale.

Trust me. Join us. Be the history of re-election of the greatest POTUS. If you do not believe, ask NYT, CNN, PBS, or NPR.

Romney's trip to UK, Israel, Poland was BUST. He is finished.

PS: Can anyone recommend the Master of Studies in Law (MSL) like the one at Yale? This does not require a legal background. I am interested in MSL so that I can join the K-street in the future. Can you suggest some good programs that do not require a JD or law degree towards such masters-degree?

Gore got ~95% in 2000, Kerry got ~93% in 2004, Obama got ~96% in 2008. I can see some socially conservative blacks being turned off enough by Obama's actual positions that his support would dip below what it was when all they had to buy was hope, change and skin color, but how in the hell is he getting out-polled by Kerry?

The most post-partisan and racially trancendent candidate has become the most racialist and politically devisive president.

Oppose him on policy grounds and you are an unthinking idiot. Or a Racist. Or probably both.

So stop harping on the country's social and ecomomic and foreign policy problems. Cause that clearly shows you're a racist hater or a Nazi or something.

So Choom has lost 4 points off blacks and 10 off Hispanics (those are those "other minority voters", right?). That's enough to cost him the election.

bathtub swabbie can't contribute anything but some weak FUD.

Between the ones going home to Mexico and the ones getting into the middle class (Hispanics are a lot less wedded to the Demos than blacks, after all), TX will be just fine.

It's the Lefties that need to worry. All those Asians tend to go Republican and they're the new dominant immigrant group.

Would not make a difference. A black Republican is still a Republican as far as black voters are concerned. They are lock solid for the Democrats. True before Obama, and will be true after. If the Dems ever lose that advantage, they are out of luck. That is why they must portray their opponents as racist. That is why they will try to destroy and conservative black man or woman who challenges them. They would do so with Condi Rice.

Make no mistake, it's the Democratic party that uses race to get elected. They did so when Bull Connor was on the Democratic National Committee. They do so now. It is quite amazing that they were able to make the transition.

Tim said...

Racists, indeed.

I rather think of it as an intelligence test.

Anyone who thinks Obama is going to be a better president than Romney is just an idiot, to be polite.

Unless, of course, one prefers a historically awful president for some other purpose than good governance, but that's an entirely different problem.

Okay, I have a BS in general engineering and a masters in international studies. Both from a small MI school. Thus, I am a top-notch consultant (but not in the big leagues - I work with them, though).

SO, do you have suggestions on MSL programs? The Yale has a good program for non-lawyers but there is no scholarship at all. Plus, they take MSL and JD courses together; very competitive. you have to be invited to join groups, etc. Any other programs?

Oh well, the NPR had a nice interview this evening. They said that Romney's trip was a DISASTER. I love NPR. They deserve much more public funding. More funding please, for NPR.

The split was 53/46. If bathtub swabbie lolled less and thought more (won't happen), he'd get the facts straight once in a while.

Instead he spends his time drooling moronic smileys.

Asians are the fastest growing immigrant group in the country and, as Birches notes, Hispanics are anything but monolithic. Karl Rove thinks Choom will lose 1/3 of his Hispanic support (that would mean about 45% of the Hispanic vote would go to the Romster). Looks like we're well on our way.

jvermeer51 said...

Over the last 16 elections, the Democratic party has won the votes of white people only once. When will they reach out to white people and address their concerns?

Carnifex said...

@Garage

Well, actually McCain was the worst, but the Romster is a close second.(see we can agree) But it's like the ol' 2 guys and a bear joke. You don't have to out run the bear, just the other guy. Well, Romney is bad, Zero is worse. So who wins? (The bear of course.)

As far as your knuckle dragging white racist vote screed, this is different from Zero getting 90% of the black vote how? Be specific, this counts as part of your final grade.

And for the liberal left out to get my stuff. When the Tea Party starts to ask for more and more taxes to pay for stuff I don't recieve I'll worry about them...for now it's just liberal loons like Zero, Pelosi, Reid, oh the hell with it, the entire democratic party.

The Communist News Network is so much more reliable.

Suure.

If bathtub swabbie's claiming that was the Asian split last time (hard to know what he's saying between his little pictures and non sequiturs), don't worry. Like all the black and Hispanic breakdowns, it won't be anywhere near that this time.

And the Asian population of the country is about 5%, with the Hispanic at about 16, down from 20.

Well, sure. It's the natural progression of things. As leftists screw up their own states beyond repair, they move to states that can still generate jobs. And then they vote for all the policies that ruined the last place they lived.

So at some point conservatives will have to leave Texas and adopt sensible policies somewhere else. Texas will then join California, with Democrat pressure groups fighting over the scraps of a once-vibrant state in economic and fiscal ruin.

I'm not crazy about Romney but all along he looked like the strongest candidate of those Republicans running. This is a crucial election and I would have voted for anyone opposing Obama, but I was relieved that it turned out to be Romney. I believe that many Republicans made the same calculation, which is how Romney won.

Santorum, Gingrich, Perry, and Bachmann would have provided the ideal culture war opponent that would have played to Obama's strengths as a hard left community organizer and offset Obama's profound weakness as an incumbent president who has accomplished almost nothing popular, while the #1 issue -- the economy -- has gone sideways and worse while he has been in office.

Democrats can ridicule or vilify Romney all they want, but then they are stuck explaining how such a poor candidate is in a dead heat with the smartest president of all time who has the advantages of incumbency and the mainstream media in his hip pocket.

Anonymous said...

Romney has 20% advantage among white voters.

Is this surprising? In 2004 the split between Bush and Kerry was 17% (58/41). In 2000 Bush vs Gore it was 13% (55/42). Even though Kerry and Gore were noticeably not black.

The Democrats have been losing whites or abandoning them, depending on one's POV, for years now.

Obama's 2008 campaign was an outlier and he did manage to reduce the Democratic disadvantage with whites to 12%.

But in 2012 a 20% advantage for the Republican candidate looks like a return to the ongoing trend.

Only 91% blacks for Obama sounds low, Clinton did better than that and I'm sure Obama did as well in 2008. Rove had an analysis where just 0.5% of the black turnout from 2008 was not repeated (a reasonable prediction) and it was enough to be consequential.
