"He sure as heck ought to say that he’s sorry for the kinds of attacks that are coming from his team."

That's how Romney demands an apology (from Obama).

What do you think of the form of expression?

I sure as heck don't like Obama, but Romney is just starting to make me sweat. I'm getting the Kerry vibe off him now, and that's not good.

I think we're looking at another 4 years of the "0".

I work in the business world and I see people are listed officially at "CEO" of company when they're no longer active in day-to-day decision making. Happens All The Time.

Now Barack, who doesn't know JACK about business, might not understand that.

This reminds me of the--honestly, rather grating--habit some Mormons have of exclaiming, "Oh my heck!"

I voted for the first option, BTW.

None of the above.
Obama and the democrats are destroying our nation, and we are forced by the pro-democrat media and the corrupt democrat deception machine to worry about this nonsense.

The democrats are failures, so we must dissect Romney.

I was at restaurant and one table was a group of young mormon missionaries and one was a bunch of tattooed hotties.

The hotties were saying fuck every other word and the mormons were saying lots of hecks, goshs, and I even heard a couple of gollys.

Interesting dichotomy.

Actually, I suspect he knows this - and I suspect he understands that companies like Bain play a needed role in business. But I think he's happy to paint as ugly a picture of Romney in people minds as he can to win this election.

Obama and his group are not nice people. And I don't think they care who they destroy to get and hold onto power. I don't even they care if they destroy us.

Sorry, but I can't give him that much credit.

What I think Obama believes are talking points advisors or super rich people tell him.

But he can't contextualize or understand it.

The Media division of the Obama Campaign openly promises to make this non-story all that they will allow to be discussed in bated breath for the next 4 months. It is like Garage's John Doe criminal investigation, CRIMINAL I TELL YOU!

Romney needs to quit being nice and attack the Big Liar on other issues until the Media faints over the horrible "personal attacks" being made on the honor of a President.

The Media's Obama worship is as sick as the Paterno worship at Penn State.

Romney needs to call Obama's lies out and attack it's source. Nice guys finish last.

It's an excellent response. Romney puts the spotlight on the Obama team's craven attacks while simultaneously making it clear that he personally doesn't give a shit. I mean a flip. He doesn't give a flip.

An angry response would make him look defensive. Mild is better. This is like Mr. T saying "No, I don't hate Balboa. I pity the fool."

I think that's where Obama loses in the end. No one votes for a president out of pity.

Romney's folksy mild response yesterday was simply bait. We'll see if team Obama doubles down, or simply continues with their petulant asshole schtick.

Either way, team Romney will release conclusive documents next week that will make the President out to be either a mean spirited liar or an incompetent business illiterate boob.

You pick.

Barack Obama: Liar

Least. Qualified. Presidential. Candidate. Ever. That was true in 2004 and Barack is scoring an unimaginable repeat.

This conservative who will never vote for him has defended Obama's honor several times in this blog over the previous 4 years. But now I'm done.

Dishonesty oozes out of every pore of the Obama campaign. Every spokesperson. Stephanie Cutter, who said on his behalf that Romney might be a felon - a President says this about another candidiate!!??!! - is and always has been an absolutely despicable human being. When you will do anything to win the election, including using outright lying, you WILL be harmful to the people of the United States and it's Constitution

Barack Obama has disqualified himself from representing the character of this country. He is a small, tragic man. How pitiful.

I am happy the way Romney's response to various things -- there are a lot of nervous nellies to try to change him. If the public falls for all the fearmongering from the Chicago thugs, so be it. They will give Obama his second term. It is an intelligence test for the voters. Candidates will do what they can to win. Romney's attitude seems to be that he is not going to be who he is not.

Recall there was a PAC that was going to do an ad re Rev. Wright-- Obama's people raised a big hue and cry about the very possibility of it, before it was even shown-- and Romney repudiated that tack, and it was never shown.

Now, you have top Obama campaign staff going around calling Romney a felon.

Quite the contrast of two campaigns.

I have a feeling (and hope) that Romney will make Obama pay for this. The Obama campaign has now made a big splashy impression in the media (even in usually friendly venues, like CNN) engaging in slanderous character assassination.

IMO (or hope) there's more backfire than positives for Obama in this, even among the infamous low-information swing voters. Whose eyes will glaze over at talk of SEC filings and corporate governance (it's difficult to associate someone's character with wrongdoing when the nature of that supposed wrongdoing is so esoteric and technical); but who can readily apprehend and understand the idea of a lying, below-the-belt campaign (so described not just by pro-Romney folk, but the likes of CNN pundits).

And of course, it'll be real hard for Obama to cry victim from now on when the Romney campaign plays hardball.

Apparently I have a Mormon boy persona that takes hold in other people's mind and endures sometimes for years until the moment I blow it.

The persona happens w ithout even trying.

Here's how I blew with one woman. It's what she told me. She thought I was so pure until the Valentines day I changed the little messages on the candy hearts to be really rude.

Really rude.

Not just suggestive, demanding.I turned the messages into sexually demanding directives. Then pretended shock at reading them. What's so shocking? I showed her the hearts in my hand so she would be shocked too and there went the Mormon boy persona she held in her mind. Which struck me as tremendously funny because I had actually been openly evil all along.

Short term, use of the Soviet Bolshevik tactics of demonizing your foe, questioning motive...later adapted by the Nazi brownshirts, the progressive Jews that controlled much of US media and mass entertainment, and now emulated by some in the Religious Right and the Norquistians and Tea Party will be effective.

If there is one thing jewish progressives, communists, evangelical tea partiers, Madison union activists, and nazis all agreed on - it was the Bolshevik techniques were effective.

But all sort of "miss" that the techniques - best backed up with coercive jailin powers or violence in extremis - are dependent on the dynamics of the situation and can rebound if the other side goes "Alinskyite, hitlerite", or the demonizers are so unattractive they appear to be worse than the people they are demonizing at some point.
(See OWS).

Somewhere along the way, while character assassination will hurt Romney, and please "Smashmouth politics" activists...the public may well see Obama as just another vile practioner of smear and demonization...not the nice transformative figure that was to lead us to "Purple America" and transcend the crass partisan politics of people such as Hillary.
The dust settles and all those independents see Obama who they voted for on a belef he was somehow different...like all the other small and venal men like Blogojevic or Newt or Anthony Weiner...swinging the slime bucket.

Team Romney, I volunteer!

I'll have that character- assassinating piece of female shit crying on the Sunday Morning Shows before I'm done with her pitiful ass. I'll shrink her balls before she even knows what's going on. No pity for a woman who sold her soul to Satan. She obviously did Clinton. I can start with that.

By the way, I did a political debate as a candidate surrogate years ago in the City Hall and made the tough liberal Councilwoman sputter and cry. All I did was keep asking her character questions and pointing out what an absolute hardened hypocrite she was by her own corrupt standards. Got her lip quivering and angry gestures and finally some tears. She never spoke to me again.

It was awesome. She lost reelection, but sadly not to my candidate. I do like to think I helped push her out. She truly didn't deserve to hold the public trust. Sometimes you have to make the evil ones bleed.

Either way, team Romney will release conclusive documents next week that will make the President out to be either a mean spirited liar or an incompetent business illiterate boob.

Such as:

Fortune magazine reported Thursday that it had obtained confidential offering documents Bain Capital gave to prospective investors in 2000, ahead of the launch of its seventh private equity fund.

The prospectus lists “certain investment professionals responsible for the day-to-day affairs of the Brookside and Sankaty funds, which are affiliated funds of Fund VII.”

Fortune noted that Romney was not among the 18 managers identified in the documents.

Note: The real reason Romney is on those documents is for tax purposes.

But the punitive nature & complexity of the tax code are something Democrats wish not to talk about.

Bender said...

Come on, no need to "set your hair on fire" about these things.

Romney needs to quit being nice and attack the Big Liar on other issues

And yet, notice when it is that Romney is stirred to action -- when he himself is lied about. All the other countless times that Obama lied/lies, Romney says nothing and lets it all slide by.

Lie about America, lie about laws, lie about other people, ho-hum, but say something about Romney himself, and that's crossing the line. And while he said nothing when the lies were about other people and other things, he expects us all to come running to his defense. So now he responds, and brilliant guy that he is, he responds in such a fashion that it actually breathes life into the Obama lies, it keeps them alive and reinforces the lies in the minds of people even as Romney denies them.

He is a disaster in the making. And some of us tried to warn you all.

wyo sis said...

If all I knew was that Romney made his own money using standard business practices even if the details were complex, that would be enough.
If all I knew was that while Obama has been president he has repeatedly broken promises and presided over an economy that leaves me and people I know with fewer jobs and a less hope for a prosperous future for my children and grandchildren, that would be enough.
The most frightening thing is the most obvious one. Obama has made things worse for me and everyone I know. Mitt Romney's use of the word "heck" isn't even on the radar.

wyo sis said...

Romney and his campaing are all about calling out. Obama's lies. That's almost all they do, as a good campaign always does. Personal attacks are not acceptable. There is a difference, and most people know what the difference is even if Bender doesn't.

Cedarford said...

Bender - "He is a disaster in the making. And some of us tried to warn you all".

Sorry Bender. Sweet Baby Jesus may yet decide to have Rick Santorum come on a golden chariot before election day to win on a write-in with God's direct endorsement. Or bring Rick Perry in on the same golden chariot is Rick is too busy with Jesus-blessed Baby Bella or praying at the shrine to Terri Schiavo. (with Jesus giving Rick Perry a working brain in the bargain!)

But that is unlikely.

Absent Jesus and the golden chariot arrving....guess the rest of us will have to go with the lesser evil. Hopefully, most will conclude the dork Romney is the lesser evil.

At least Republicans picked the best available person this time around to address the biggest problem - America on the edge of another Great Depression and joblessness doubling....

Both they and the Democrats blew it in 2008. It should have been Romney and Hillary. Not a neocon war-monger who was clueless on the economy and a slick talking bullshitter who was clueless on everything. (But did keep us out of the 4-5 new wars McCain wanted to start and send The Heroes to. )

Chase said...

Bender, thank you for illustrating the moral corruption Obama supporters live out every day. Your "Oh yeah, the other guy is bad, too" avoidance of the issue - Obama's damnable and repeated lying - shows every thinking American again why Obama and those who support him are just plain bad for America and it's future.

So sorry for your life.

Chase said...

Let's be clear.

If you are not supporting Romney for President - no matter your agreement or disagreement with any of his stands - you are supporting Barack Obama for re-election.

To be undecided is to be decided. It's now at that point. If you have the ability to vote for Romnay and you choose to not do so - you are supporting the reelection of Barack Obama.

If you are a citizen of this nation and you want the right to complain about it and are concerned about it remaining the beacon of liberty and freedom, then get off your ass and support Mitt Romney. The choice is the clearest in my 40 years of voting in Presidential elections. The current occupant is the hands down worst, most incompetent executive and I can match any concern and beat any other list. At least Carter's damage was limited. The Obama/Holder disregard for the Constitutional Separation of Powers must come to an end.

If Romney is as smart as I think he is, he will use documents like these to rebut Obama. Then Obama can debate with himself and legal documents, instead of Romney. That way, the truth comes out and Mitt is not the mean racist that Obama and his surrogates say he is.

geokstr said...

I hope that sometime in the next month or two, Romney releases his college applications and transcripts, and challenges the most brilliant person in the entire known multiverse to do the same with his. With just enough time left to panic the O campaign but not enough to effectively respond.

geokstr said...

Oh, and his passport applications and travels too.

Bender said...

So now, because Romney is weak, we need to shut up about it, rather than Romney picking up his game?

Look, the "at least he's not Obama" campaign slogan that was pushed here back in the spring didn't sell then and it doesn't sell now. If that is the best you've got, then your response should be to kick Romney in the ass, rather than criticize those who you supposedly would want to vote for him.

Charlie Martin said...

You left out an option: establishing that he's trying to take it maturely before ramping it up. Expect the media to be saying what a vile person Romney must be to let his surrogates say those nasty things within a few days.

Bender said...

So what did this brilliant "Saying that I destroyed jobs at Bain isn't fair! Apologize!" strategy get Romney this weekend?

All the talk was about Romney at Bain, not about Obama being a liar. All he accomplished by focusing on the lie was to reinforce it.
