Dutch artist turns his dead cat into a helicopter.

Sorry, this has nothing to do with Scott Walker.

Or does it?

Jihadist then kills Dutch artist, 'cause "Dutch artist" is as far as he read before his rage compelled him.

Which is crazy, if ya AFSCME.

Europe deserves a catastrophic depression. So do we. Punishment for our silly dance on the edge of the abyss. Who knows but such "art" may be wrung out by the fall. William says no. But William's nihilism exceeds mine. I say...maybe.

If that things really flies and hovers, it could scare the heck out of our red tailed hawks.

So maybe Orville is like a Scott Walker avatar that intimidates the SEIU? Is it a Scare Crow for red tailed unions.

I give up. Why does it pertain to Scott Walker?

I don't think this has anything to do with art. This is a guy screwing around with stuff. If it is art, I was regular Leonardo da Vinci as a kid.

This what they should do with zombie Reagan to scare the shit out of the Iranians. If President Dinnerjacket saw Helicopter Ronnie outside his window, he'd be converting to Mormon in early November.

I said it had nothing to do with Scott Walker. What is it with you people? Is everything about Scott Walker?

This comment is right on target. The point is that the artist cannot show respect, HE MUST MOCK. That is the ethos of our age: everything must be mocked. So this artist, in giving that overriding compulsion form, is in fact an artist, albeit on automatic pilot.

I apologize if my comment veers into pomposity, but this is important. It is important that official establishment approved art today, which calls itself avant garde or transgressive, can only mock. In fact it must mock. The death cult is in the driver's seat.

ricpic is right, but totally irreverent-but-funny-as-hell bagoh20 wins the thread!

ricpic is right, but why? I loved my cat so much it crossed my mind to have him made into a little huggy-lap kitty for me, as he had been in life, but immediately I saw it as grotesque.

But why, if you're dead when you're dead, and pet are not as important as humans?

The reason is the essence of religion.

It's what the cat would have wanted.

I. Want. One.

We should make some out of pigs and fly them over Pakistani tribal areas as drones.

(After all there is more than one way to skin a . . . copter?)

Scratch that one off the political bucket list, I guess.

Cat's up!

This is beyond excellent.

Tarzan approves whole-heartedly.

Numa, the lion, had best tread quietly from this point on, lest he too take to the skies with the grace of the feline that soars!
