At the Owl-Shop Café...

... you can get your 70s vibe.

(You can talk about anything you want in the comments, as is the norm in an Althouse blog "café" post. This is also a shopping post, with a link to Amazon, where if you go and buy anything before leaving, you'll be making a contribution to this blog without paying any extra for the product. The photograph is not by me. It's an Amazon photo. I'm not actually recommending these owl-themed products. I'm making an Amazon portal out of them a propos of the post about owls — and 70s nostalgia — earlier today.)

Am I the only person seeing a Google logo and a line drawing of a blue robot in the headlines of the last four blog posts?

Actually, looks more like a 50s vibe - the Wise potato chips owl.

Or maybe that's because I considered them one of the 5 basic food groups growing up.

Anywho, I'm surprised nobody's mentioned Gallup putting Zero's approval at 43. Granted Gallup's only asking registered voters, so this isn't really what his true approval is, but this is supposed to be the week momentum shifted after his big immigration pander last week.

His numbers must really be bad.

And they were devious when it came to Tootsie Pops.

That 'how many licks does it take till you get to the center' song ruined those commercials for me forever.

My son, who lives is Madison, sat at a bar the night of the recall election with a woman who works for Walker. (In what capacity I do not know.) She told him, the Walker campaign was figuring on 150,000 fraudulent votes and that they would lose the recall. I was
surprised.

My favorite owl is my Attic Owl coin that I bought for 100 Euros at Ephesus a few years ago. My coin is in much better condition than the one at the link. My middle daughter covets it but I don't know how much it is worth. It might be worth too much. I bought it from a workman who, I'm sure, dug it up and sold it instead of turning it in the Turkish authorities.

Or maybe he was selling it for a counterfeiter. I don't want to know.
