[Commerce Secretary John] Bryson was driving a Lexus in the 400 block of South San Gabriel Boulevard shortly after 5 p.m. Saturday, when he allegedly rear-ended a Buick as it was waiting for a train to pass, according to a statement released by the L.A. County Sheriff's Department and the San Gabriel Police Department.
After briefly stopping to talk to the three men inside the Buick, Bryson left the location in the Lexus and then struck the Buick a second time, authorities said. The men followed Bryson's car and called 911 to ask for police assistance.
Bryson continued to drive his Lexus into Rosemead, which is patrolled by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. There, he allegedly crashed into a second vehicle near the intersection of San Gabriel Boulevard and Hellman Avenue.
There authorities found him alone and unconscious behind the wheel of his car.
I'm currently in training for a Presidential Traverse in the next month or so. I've hiked 4 of the peaks on various other hikes, and I've run up Mt. Washington. But this will be by far my biggest one-day hike
"Our intelligence people say this is the worst breach they've ever seen," Senator John McCain, senior Republican on the Senate Armed Services Committee, said in an interview on CNN's "State of the Union" program.
... some Republicans charging that the leaks appear calculated to boost the President Barack Obama's re-election prospects.
Obama has reacted with indignation. "The notion that my White House would purposely release classified national security information is offensive," he said on Friday."
Florida Secretary of State Ken Detzner produced the lawsuit, filed in Washington, D.C. district court on Monday, shortly after, along with a statement.
Alec Brown and Erica Klintworth have to be hungry, but they're otherwise unhurt after spending nine days stranded in the New Zealand wilderness. The 21-year-old University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point students had planned to hike and camp on the South Island, but day after day of rain, followed by a snowstorm, left them stuck on the wrong side of a flooded river. They made a makeshift tarp-covered shelter, rationed their remaining trail mix and submerged themselves in hot springs to stay warm. They hiked out when the river was safe enough to cross and were met by a search-and-rescue team. "In the end we were prepared enough to walk ourselves out," Brown said.

So when are we going to get the post about George Zimmerman lying to the court about not having any money?
Or has Our Hero turned into the anti-hero?
Hmmm. Let's examine this for a minute OK? The commerce secretary guy actually got out of his car the first time he ran into someone and asked if everyone was alright. This is when a normal person sits on the curb and waits for the coppers. He didn't. He went to see if he could beat his old record.
Mr Zimmerman. Lesseehere. The minority grievance mongers have publicly avowed to run him up the nearest flagpole by his neck and will pay someone to do it. The Justice department seems to be OK with that. His family has been threatened. Nah! Go ahead stick around. It's OK. You're perfectly safe.
Leslyn. I love the fact you don't let reason interfere with the cartoon you have running in your head. Don't ever change, babe.

For the hardcore crafter.
Didn't see this linked in the giant brat thread, but Obama made it clear today that he thinks you folks in Wisconsin are gullible fools.
Too busy?
Obama lost his base a long time ago, this was just the nail in the coffin. I think he'll lose big time in Wisconsin.
The beads are adorable, my granddaughters would love them.
I much prefer the fruit and vegetable beads off to the right side. The animals look too fake.
Neat beads!
Is that at that bead shop on State Street? Or are you still in Hoosier land?
Cool pic, wherever it is.
Obama was "too busy" to come to Wisconsin to support Barrett. But not too busy to fly right overhead!

Allegorical on so many levels.

First post of the day, Mark.
Woops. Been running since I got up. I'll backtrack to it, and thanks!
"Transparency and the rule of law will be the touchstones of this Presidency"
"Our intelligence people say this is the worst breach they've ever seen," Senator John McCain, senior Republican on the Senate Armed Services Committee, said in an interview on CNN's "State of the Union" program.
"It's very clear that this information had to come from this administration. It couldn't have come from anywhere else," McCain said. "This needs a special counsel - someone who is highly independent of the Justice Department."

Florida Secretary of State Ken Detzner produced the lawsuit, filed in Washington, D.C. district court on Monday, shortly after, along with a statement.
“For nearly a year, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security has failed to meet its legal obligation to provide us the information necessary to identify and remove ineligible voters from Florida’s voter rolls,” Detzner said. “We can’t let the federal government delay our efforts to uphold the integrity of Florida elections any longer. We’ve filed a lawsuit to ensure the law is carried out and we are able to meet our obligation to keep the voter rolls accurate and current.”

The beads are so cute. Animal themed accessories? This is a good idea to make for a bracelet and necklace. I love it.
