Althouse did not vote for Wasserman-Schultz. You people complaining about 2008 need to quit your childish whining. McCain was not a good candidate, and the Republicans were exhausted and, in too many cases, corrupt.
All that said, why are you getting emails from this person, Althouse? You must have signed up, right? So you really have only yourself to blame.
I don't know how I got on the email list, but I can see how to unsubscribe. I don't, because stuff like this is funny enough to blog.
I'm probably on because I gave money, long ago, to EMILYS list... maybe a couple times. And I gave to Russ Feingold when he first ran for office. I also gave money to state senator Jon Erpenbach when he was first running, because Russ Feingold asked (back when Erp was his brother-in-law).
Haven't given any candidate money in maybe 20 years or more.
This isn't based on voting for Obama. They didn't get my name from reading my blog and deciding I'm one of them. That's not the way they get their email addresses.

Spam guidelines require that recipients go through a closed loop double opt-in sign-up. I know this is abused by lots of people...I gave money to Walker and my new state senator Leah Vukmir last cycle...I know get emails from the WIGOP. I'm okay with it.
I know I been sexting you a lot lately -- I know, baby, I know.
But I'm only doing it because this year matters so, so incredibly much to me.
What I have my hands on at midnight tonight determines how hard we can fight, for both us and those other Democrats I don't care about in close relationships nationwide.
My workout program, golf outings, and Truth Teams are waiting for tonight to see what we'll have to work with this June, July, and August. It gonna be sweaty. Wear something...sexy.
The critical fun-raising deadline is just hours away. What we do with whose hours is up to you.
Can you come on over and help me out with this problem?
I get a lot of junk email from conservative organizations that found me God only knows how, and I, too, am too lazy to unsubscribe.
Also, I did vote proudly for McCain. But that doesn't change the fact that he was a lousy candidate, or that Republicans were politically exhausted and needed to refocus and recharge, or that too many Republicans had become corrupted by being inside the Beltway too long.
Amusingly enough, one of my hardcore progressive friends posted on her FB today something along the lines of, "President Obama, I love you and I will definitely vote for you again, but please stop emailing me three times a day. It's getting creepy and annoying."

That's what you get for voting the way your did in 2008! Learn the lesson!
Shut-up shuttin'-up!

At least it's direct.
We can only hope she keeps her promise.
"why are you getting emails from this person, Althouse? You must have signed up, right? So you really have only yourself to blame."
How else could she post the emails on the blog to say, 'ugh and look, they're emailing people on the email list, look how annoying it is'?
Wasserman-Schultz is claiming she will withdraw her affection for a spell and see how you like it. You've been baaaaad Annie.
If she comes back, please beg her to tell us more about how great Obama is. We just couldn't bear to lose her attention.
[yes, Democrats think you are this stupid]

Ann --
We've been emailing you a lot lately -- I know.
But we're only doing it because this year matters so incredibly much.
What we have on hand at midnight tonight determines how hard we can fight, for both President Obama and other Democrats in close races nationwide.
Our organizing program, press outreach, and digital teams are waiting for tonight to see what they'll have to work with this June, July, and August.
The critical FEC fundraising deadline is just hours away. What we do with it is up to you.
Can you chip in whatever you can to help Democrats before midnight?

Thanks,

Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz
Chair
Democratic National Committee
McCain was not a good candidate, and the Republicans were exhausted and, in too many cases, corrupt.
McCain was not a perfect candidate but he was a better choice than Obama. IIRC, Machos, even you said you voted for him.
But I'm sure Althouse got on that list the same way she got on FLOTUS' list.
They didn't get my name from reading my blog and deciding I'm one of them. That's not the way they get their email addresses.
Of course not. Your political views and email address are just part of the package they can buy from Google.
Wasserman-Schultz's next email is going to be "I wish I knew how to quit you." A "baby" on the end is problematic, though.

I just now got this from Obama:
Hey Girl--
I know I been sexting you a lot lately -- I know, baby, I know.

Thanks Boo,

You can unsubscribe from her list, but every other Dem candidate and special interest will still send you stuff.

They are running out of money?
Redundant post headings repeat information in the post heading.

With the title, I thought maybe she was going to announce her retirement.
I'll always laugh when I remember what someone called her the other day:
Debbie Blabbermouth Schultz.
It fits this post perfectly.
She needs her jeri curl fix.
"McCain was not a good candidate, and the Republicans were exhausted and, in too many cases, corrupt."
Right. Horrible candidate. Obama was/is worse though.
Amusingly enough, one of my hardcore progressive friends posted on her FB today something along the lines of, "President Obama, I love you and I will definitely vote for you again, but please stop emailing me three times a day. It's getting creepy and annoying."
