From the wiki bio: In that same interview he hinted that his parents' break-up and his father's drug use were at least partially responsible for his own drug problems, and also said that he was convinced that if he became a celebrity his dad would return.
One of the various things I always wonder about, have wondered about for a long time--when I think of Staley, and Cobain, among others--is if given long enough there'd've been an analogy to "Kashmir: The Symphonic Led Zeppelin" (a real album, I assure you).
All this man-in-the-box talk makes me yearn for 1978's V2 - Man In The Box (with pics & better sound this time). Manchester glam punk at its finest. Cheers!
What I really wanted to do here was to post a YT link to Liz Story's terrific instrumental interpretation of an oldie, "Mack the Knife." Alas, that's a "can't," so--acknowledging the different direction--here's this instead.

I didn't recognize this guy's name, and none of the youtube clips sounds even vaguely familiar.
