Obama says he doesn't want Malia and Sasha to be "attacked or called horrible names when they’re being good citizens."

Milking Flukegate.

So it was ok for all the liberal commentators to call Palin all kinds of names, no apologizes but keep your hands off his daughters?

And then now Obama somehow projects what Rush said to his daughters? Obama is just playing his race care gain (or maybe the baby card.)

It amazes me that people who so eagerly toss around vulgar terms like "teabagger" and "Koch-sucker" get upset when a conservative calls some lying leftist hack a slut. They can go to hell.

Define: "attacked", 'horrible names" and "good citizens".

I think Limbaugh should be treated like Bill Maher. Kick him off the network that sponsors him.

Oh, and seize his estate, sell it off and redistribute it to all the victims. And let's be clear: I'm a victim!

Calling for others to pay for your stuff isn't "being good citizens".

That's right, Ken. It's called being a leach.

Milking?

The other side is the definition of self-defeating if they can't grasp that the libs are earnestly--to their cores--appalled and disgusted by Rush and his apologists. BTW, here's some friendly advice: it's not just libs who have this heartfelt reaction.

Beta Rube said...

Your cores are pretty fucking selective when it comes to outrage. They have no trouble abiding calling women cunts, making fun of Down Syndrome babies, or accusing conservative radio hosts of being sluts.

You might want to seek a new core, blessed with discernment.

edutcher said...

Nobody's called his daughters any names, but he has certainly not been any saint (lipstick on a pig).

Somebody run the tape of GodZero giving the finger as he talked about Hillary.

PS whining = telling the truth.

No one, here, comes to praise Obama.

On the other hand, he's not shedding voters. People who don't like him, won't vote for him.

What are you serving up as a counter-choice? Because IF you don't have a good horse to run in the race ... you're probably not going to see victory in November.

Obama should have encountered, by now, a better horse. With a better sense of humor. And, a twinkle. Just like Ronald Reagan produced. Back when the GOP hated his guts. And, tried to push him off the ticket in 1980.

Who can forget his "I BOUGHT THIS MICROPHONE!" ... Which he took down the elder Bush. And, got his way at debates that opened the door to others.

Back in 1980 ... those debates were what you'd expect to see ... when a lead horse approached the gates.

Mitt's barely palatable.

Yet the lack of enthusiasm gets blamed on things such as Mitt's underwear.

It's really good underwear! You never see under arm sweat coming out of his armpits.

And, while Obama has his detracters, here, they've failed at producing an arguments on why he can't win next November.

Plus, I doubt people will go out to buy the fancy underwear.

Mitt doesn't look wounded to you, see if I care.

And landed with a better gig at HBO. It was in all the papers, you numbskulled putz. You could at least try to not be such an obviously blinkered and lying butt fuck of a troll, shit-for-brains.

Icepick said...

Alternate explanation for Maher: He actually believes in the concept and practice of free speech. Doesn't mean he isn't a nasty piece of work, but it is just possible he believes in free expression, which makes him unlike most of the dickheads out their like the lefties trying to shout down any and all dissenting opinion and putzs like Glenn Reynolds who are trying to duplicate the lefties. Fuck 'em all.

Here's to strong, direct language freely expressed. Here's to America's free-speech fetish. Here's to the First Freakin' Amendment.

Malia and Sasha are the 1 percent. It's no fair they get to go to such a great private school and vacation in Aspen and Martha's Vineyard. By definition, then, they are bad citizens. This inequality and unfairness must end.

Obama, age 50, is hardly flying his feminist flag high in his treatment of the 30 year old, quite adult Fluke, ascribing qualities to her more akin to a child than a woman.

First Obama tells Fluke that her "parents should be proud" as though she just killed in a school play. He follows that by stating that the Fluke flap reminded him of his twelve and ten year old girls. I can't prove it in a lab, but if Rush targeted a male, I don't see Obama invoking the same mantle of father protector.

Joe the Plumber, age 35 when he had his 15 minutes in 2008, was on the other side of the political spectrum, but did anyone ever even think that his "parents should be proud" and that his comments could conjure up anything to do with pre-teen boys? No, and I think that's directly attributable to Ms. Fluke's gender, and to the President's response to her gender.

We know what Limbaugh thought of Fluke; the President, on the other hand, apparently puts her in the Madonna camp. Either way, neither is expressing a conception of femininity that celebrates principled equality.

Wasn't it Obama who said he hated it when his daughters got dragged into the political ring? Yes, it was. But who, exactly is doing the dragging?

Synova said...

"Now his 2 daughters are fair political game. No quarter, no mercy. Be Breitbart."

Oh, fer pity's sake. I don't think that Breitbart would for even a moment claim that Obama's daughters are "fair political game."

He'd likely point out that Obama is the one who brought them into it.

But Obama makes shit up all the time, accuses people of bad behavior before it happens, and then calls racism (or his stooges do) when people complain about being preemptively chastised for what they didn't do.

Two minor children are NOT the same thing as a 30 year old, presumably adult, activist. That OBAMA wants to move this discussion in that direction only makes him a swine.

Synova said...

"Trying to destroy part of the First Amendment is being a good citizen?"

Well, duh! Of course it is.

Freedom of conscience, freedom of speech... what if your conscience is steeped in patriarchal chauvinism and your speech is hateful?

William said...

I can think of no happier destiny for a Dem woman than to become an official Republican victim. Valerie Plame gets a lucrative book contract, and Naomi Watts plays her in the movie. Anita Hill gets tenure. Ms. Fluke's earning potential has already increased exponentially. The worst fate for a Demette is to succumb to the charms of a some horny Dem. Mary Jo Kopechne can only envy the good luck of Monica Lewinsky. I would urge the President's daughters not to hang around with any Kennedys and to try to figure out some way to be criticized by Limbaugh.

Synova said...

But seriously... "lipstick on a pig" is just EXACTLY the sort of thing that Obama wants everyone to say about his little girls once they are grown up and being "good citizens."

I think it's pretty repulsive that he decides to use them as an example in his political fight when his very own history of treating women with respect is lacking.

But seriously, once they are *grown*, if we go by Obama's own example and his own standards, then "lipstick on a pig" is entirely acceptable.

This is why it is vital the President of the United States have daughters.

A man with daughters better understands how a president should see the country.

bgates said...

Let's draw out this analogy a little further.

How much does Obama think Sasha and Malia should be spending on contraceptives on an annual basis?

My guess is put that way, he would say that they are children and they shouldn't have anything to do with such things.

James said...

Wasn't it Obama who said he hated it when his daughters got dragged into the political ring? Yes, it was. But who, exactly is doing the dragging?

Yes, but during the 2008 Indiana primary - where he was losing badly to Hillary - Obama brought six-year old Malia on stage to exhort the crowd in Fort Wayne to "vote for daddy."

He's a typical politician who would use his own kids if he thought it offered him an advantage.

Love the way that liberals like Garbage think. But, it ain't gonna happen. Of course, Rush has his own "network". Which means that what we are talking about are individual radio stations deciding whether they will renew their contracts with his EIB Network, and very few of them are not going to.

Throughout much of the country, the stations that have Rush on the air control the talk radio airwaves for the region. When I come into a new city, one of the first things that I do in my rental car is to find the station playing Rush. Not that I listen to him all that much, but that station is the one that is most likely to have the better talk shows.

So, sure, radio stations could drop Rush, but if they did, what would be the result for them? One of their competitors would pick him up, and in many cases, ultimately end up as the dominant talk radio station in the market.

Keep in mind that the group of people who got so weeweed up over Rush here mostly don't listen to him anyway, and those who do, think that Bill Maher should be apologizing to Sarah Palin, among others, first.

Maher got kicked off ABC ie Politically Incorrect. It was in all the papers and the internet as well.

Its all about the money. Maher has never been that funny, except to the type of people who run organizations like ABC, HBO, etc. His "Politically Correct" quickly became just another attempt at flogging hard left orthodoxy by attacking conservatives. He was never politically incorrect, but rather spouted leftist political orthodoxy. Works in liberal enclaves like NYC, SF, etc., but not that well outside them in a slightly right-of-center country. Maher was dropped because he drove off viewers. And, viewers mean revenue.

While Maher drove off viewers at ABC, and now doing so at HBO, Rush brings listeners to a radio station - in many markets, the station that carries Rush is going to dominate (and, of course, is usually the only one that can afford him).

It's obvious what he's trying to say, but his actual words are just a machine-like echo of what he thinks is biting wit/sarcasm.

At some point, he's failed enough to not warrant further interaction.

No one likes to be called names. No one. If President Obama is so defensive of women, what about women like me? I practice Natural Family Planning for religious and health reasons, in this country why can the government mock and mandate over this practice the Church teaches. Even in Massachusetts, there are NFP instructors who teach to anyone. If a Catholic NFP teacher, teaches a non-catholic woman NFP the mandate could be applied to her organization.

A Catholic NFP non-profit, being forced to cover contraception?

I noticed an increase in leftist idiots commenting at this site in the past two weeks. Preparing the ground for Election 2012?

BTW, if Obama doesn't want his daughters called sluts or similar vulgar names, he needs to do two things: (1) Teach them to value their personal dignity so they don't have to sleep around to gain accceptance; and (2)Make sure they do not become outspoken female conservatives.

He didn't say they were heroes, he said they weren't cowards. There is a huge difference between the two and the latter position is a perfectly reasonable.

As for calling Palin a cunt, I agree that is beyond the pale for which he should apologize--maybe a limited non-apology like the one Rush gave.

"Yes, but during the 2008 Indiana primary - where he was losing badly to Hillary - Obama brought six-year old Malia on stage to exhort the crowd in Fort Wayne to "vote for daddy.""

That's not out of line. Politicians often appear with their families. Having a wife or adult daughter give speeches is a little different but the kids-in-a-row photo op is ordinary and expected. Nor is it actually that big a deal when politicians mention their kids, still, Obama should know better than to mention his kids in relationship to *this* unless he's hoping that someone will be rude.

Frankly, he's brought them up before in relationship to contraception and abortion. We know that he doesn't want them "punished" with a child because he figured this was something we needed to know. And people went on forever about "punished with a baby", you'd think he would learn.

Yes, but i think there was a little tiny bit more that you omit. I believe he went on to refer to the cwardice of bombing from planes (this was before,of course, our smartest ever president became the drone bomber) thus comparing our airmen unfavorably to theirs. There was that vile bit of sophomoric rhetoric was there not?
