The Bloom of Forsythia is the true sign of spring. Lilies and daffodils are just cheap whores which'll bloom at the drop of a hat. God help the fool who changes out his snow tires because a daffodil bloomed. Harlet!
Everybody's saying, "No sweat", but, given GodZero's penchant for ignoring court opinions and doing end runs around Congress, can we trust him if the smoke detector goes off in the Reichstag?
If winter makes a comeback up there (not unheard of, given that we haven't even hit the spring equinox yet), your flowering plants are going to be totally screwed.
Our first Daffs bloomed Jan 30 and were devastated in the Feb freezes.
Chip Ahoy, Bravo! Not everyone will embrace a funeral flower. I gave up on them because of all the work digging them up every fall and then planting them again in stages in the late winter.
You all know to lay down crab grass killer when the Forsythia is in bloom, right?

Time to check the family plot in the cemetery to see if the daffodils are blooming.
I like tulips a lot but they don't last very long so for now I've switched my allegiance to gladiolas.
It was in the 70s back home in MN, but here in Scottsdale it was raining and in the 40s.
I blame Bush.
Some people like Daffodils, but I always preferred Bugs Bunny.
Because it's really duck season.
That frozen image on that embedded Pelosi-Maher video reminds me of Jan Brewer pointing at Barack Obama.
Only Bill Maher looks like a passive-aggressive wimp to Obama's cool stud.
Althouse, were you wandering lonely as a cloud that floats on high o'er vales and hills? Or were you just taking a walk?
Maybe I should make a t-shirt for my comment 'a potemkin village of bicycled fish'.
Maybe not.
Plus she said "some blog".
Wha?? "Some. Blog."? Please.
I thought a banana would be greatly improved with chocolate but it isn't.
I love the flowers.
On another war-like note:
What is this Executive Order all about and why issue it on a Friday (to hide it)?

Yes, ma'am, I shall write, "I must not dispute Althouse's posts", 100 times on the board.
Lovely shots (my Aunt Mary loved our forsythia).
You two must have had a grand day.

I am tempted to plant Crape Myrtle.
