Yesterday.
As I did yesterday and will continue to do for the next few weeks, I'm looking back exactly one year to see what I had on the blog. Surprisingly, I had absolutely nothing about the protests on February 15, 2011. Things seemed so slow to me I was watching snow melt.

Funny, that article didn't mention the fact that the protestors did not have a permit for their event at the capitol. And in fact prevented actual permitted events from taking place. But it seems that the law only applies to some classes of people.
"This was personal because it's our kids; it's our future. Children are our future, and we need to be supporting them," said Angie Kirst, of Beaver Dam."
Translation: I want all my benefits for free, summers off, and complete control of my work environment.
Remember this teacher? It was all about the money on 2/15/11.
But then the memo went out, and it was about the kids by June.
Kim Hoffman is a selfish liar and attention whore. By the way, despite the "number crunching", she is still teaching.
Madison lives on the edge. Vive La Revolution!
But there are times and seasons to be revolting. Right now the Revolution is in hibernation.
This morning at 1:00am the legislature passed the Floating Toilet Bowl Bill. Somebody give me a hell yeah.
Please Ann, not "1-year anniversary".
"Anniversary" or, if you must, "first anniversary", but not "1-year anniversary".
I realize that the mainstream media folks figure that their viewers are generally too poorly educated to understand what the word "anniversary" means, but that doesn't mean you should make the same assumption about visitors to your blog.
Funny that garage is preoccupied with shitty things.
Is the future of protest just going to only be about the less productive and valued trying to force money from the more productive and valued citizen through government?
No more fights for civil rights, freedom or justice. Just money and benefits. I guess that's proof of progress.
Over in West Bend, they noted the anniversary of the introduction of Act 10 by flying the flag upside down at half mast at one of the schools:
Distress Call
Oops, never mind. It was just a broken grommet.
Can't wait for the 1-year anniversary of the idiot blowing that stupid horn in Ann's face.
I thought the idiot with the horn made the best argument I heard the whole time from that side, and I admire that he said it loud and proud, and in the native language of the leftist intelligentsia, which also include various clucks, hand jesters and lots of rhyming.
Seems the guv came down with the flu at the last minute, and can't make the Master Lock tour, but will shake hands at the airport?
Here is my diagnosis That red line on the chart ain't pretty.
Doesn't want to be seen with GodZero.
Must've read Ann's post yesterday.
So Garage, you're so close to the governor that you know the state of his health on a day-to-day basis, so you can state unequivocally that he came down with the flu "at the last minute"? Wow, you're such an insider.
I don't suppose it ever occurred to you that maybe he really DID just come down with the flu, but being a decent man and not wanting to disrespect the president, that he's making the best effort he can?
And, no, I didn't misspell "gestures". I meant what I wrote.
Doesn't want to be seen with GodZero.
Walker is going to be seen with Obama at the airport. [no press/questions]
Won't accompany Obama at Master Lock [press/questions]
Who creates jobs, Garage?
take your time.
In other news-(I'm gonna pull a Garage here.)
It has been discovered that Chicago is the most corrupt city in the United States. Now. Can anybody tell me which current resident cut their political teeth in the city of big shoulders and crony capitalism?
Most open and transparent administration evah!!
Suckers
Who creates jobs, Garage?
Look at that little chart I linked to.
ah yes, unions create jobs.
garage is pathologically unable to stay on topic. To him there is only one topic. garage, you are by far the most boring commenter ever to appear on the Althouse blog. That includes Carol Herman.

C'mon. You don't care if people go off topic. You care if something punctures that bubble world you live in.

Why would anyone look at the chart?
When are you going to express any concerns over the job losses that have taken place since Obama was sworn in?
"Who creates jobs?"
I do. We increased our employee count by 50% and payroll by 60% in the last 18 months. No subsidies, no bailouts, no help, just 35% taken off the top by the Feds and 11% by the state. Gee, thanks for that, cause I didn't have a good use for it like you guys.
Obama doesn't know shit about creating jobs. Hell, he never even had one. I think by the time I was his age, I probably had 20 jobs, and had hired and trained hundreds of people. I don't see him asking advice from people like me. He's surrounded by other people who don't know anything about work or business in the real day to day sense. Keynesian, tax cheats, money changers, and rent seekers, all in a jumper full of term papers and theories. Woohoo!, it's good to be the king.
"anniversary" replaces anniversay in the title.
Unless you are thinking of singing
"Anniversay To You" to the tune of "Happy Birthday." There it works well.
"Who creates jobs?"
Customers. Government.
Clearly not the much ballyhooed "job creators" who took a trillion dollars in Bush tax cuts over 8 years and left the country with a massive unemployment crisis*. Where are the jobs if they are job creators? We should get our money back.
There are many wealthy corporate executive who advance their careers by slashing jobs, wages and benefits. We all know that but there's this Kabuki theater that they go to work to create jobs.
* George W. Bush left office on January 20, 2009. Obama was not responsible for the job losses under the Bush Administration.
""Who creates jobs?"
Customers. Government."
Oh, how Alpha longs for the old Soviet success story. Those were the good old days.
They had lots of customers and lots of government, but nothing to sell or buy. We just can't figure out why that was.

Well, except the government doesn't create jobs and the Bush tax cuts went to every tax payer and Obama extended them.
Your beclowning is complete.
garage presumes to know the details of Scott Walker's health, even when Walker may be unaware of them. It just so happens that I am privy to garage's interior conversation. It goes exactly like this:
. Walker. Walker. Walker. WALKER. Walker. Walker. Walker. Walker. Walker. WALKER. Walker. Walker. Walker. Walker. Walker. WALKER. Walker. Walker. Walker. Walker. Walker. WALKER. Walker. Walker.
And so forth.
And you watched that melting snow so well last year you have none to speak of this year!
Keep up the good work!
Thanks.
