Clint Eastwood's "Halftime in America" Super Bowl commercial features the Wisconsin protests.

Click to jump to the exact part of the commercial:

Say what you want about Eastwood's approval of the auto bailouts, I'm excited to see the statue of the Civil War hero Hans Christian Heg, which — you may remember — Meade defended on 3 separate occasions last year during the protests: March 2 (Meade removes a sign), March 13 (Meade removes a "Solidarity" T-shirt); March 21 (Meade washes off "Workers of the World Unite").

And, by the way, Clint Eastwood played a crucial role in getting Meade and me together, so there was also that.

"Yah just wonderful. For all of Althouse censoring, MiniTruthMeade still leaves us with feces flingers like Ritmo, Shiloh, etc."

Fen is bitter and jealous. :-P

Conservatives by and large don't seem to like that message, judging by their reaction to the spot.

Nope. Just don't like facism of a state run auto industry.

You and your cohorts are in the position of rooting against anything positive in the economy or in morale, because you want to beat Obama so bad. It's fun to point that out

Hysterical.

That coming from someone who takes to the Internet to lie about Scott Walker's record as it relates to jobs.

Further, you can not "point out" anyone on the right rooting against anything positive in the economy with actual examples.

Though I do love it when you continue to post about job losses in WI.

Again, if you had a brain and just a modicum of self respect, you'd stop posting here. You are so embarrassing it is sad.

PS, remember when it was silly & bad to be so jingoistic?

Conservatives are fine with that message. It's just that that message has nothing to do with Detroit, and Detroit has nothing to do with that message. The only thing conservatives object to is the utter mendaciousness of the spot.

the "religion" of free-market thinking

It's not a religion. Free markets a way of describing human behavior. How people act with money/wealth.
Socialism/progressive-ism/communism,ad nauseum are simply fantasies. How people wish the world would behave. Much like a religion.

There's nothing conservative or liberal about not liking the fact that they are talking about Detroit but are using footage from other cities along with stock footage from Detroit...meaning they didn't film cell one in the city the ad claims to celebrate.

As the conservative whining continues unabated at Althouse.

Just say you hate America. Or, you just temporarily hate America while a Democratic President is in the White House. It couldn't be more obvious.

More Obamanomics:

DOVER, Del. (AP) — Fisker Automotive, an electric car maker that received a half-billion-dollar loan from the federal government, said Monday that it has laid off workers in Delaware and California

Of course the answer is to give them another "loan"!

When your silliness, stupidity, and hypocrisy is pointed out, your answer is of course more silliness.

Cut GM some slack. Given his strident defense of criminal justice in regards to the associates of incumbent politicians, I'm sure he's devoting most of his time running down Juan Jose Rojas.

It looks to be all unraveling for the WIGOP. This fail parade will be fun to watch.

I know right? A Milwaukee County council chairman busted for taking bribes? Oh wait...he's a Democrat. Well, at least he wasn't endorsed the leading Democrat candidate for governor or anything. Except that Tom Barrett did just that. But hey at least Tammy Baldwin who has NEVER successfully sponsored a piece of legislation (although the Federal Response to Eliminate Eating Disorders Act of 2011 was darn good try) is throwing her hat into the serious legislation ring by sponsoring....a tax increase.

What a great week to be a Wisconsin Democrat!

Lock em up! I would surprised if the John Doe didn't ensnare a Dem or two. Some pretty ominous signs that the WIGOP is neck deep in shit though. And they are the ones facing voters.

ALL candidates will have to face the voters. No shining knight among them.

And both parties are tarnished by on the job campaigning, (to wit, Shelly " “We are not supposed to use school email, but since all of our rights are being taken away, I don’t frankly care” Moore) so...meh.
