"At the end of another song, Brown shouted 'I love you, Whitney!'..."

"... and blew a kiss to the sky, looking visibly teary."
Despite their volatile relationship, Houston told Oprah Winfrey in 2009, "I loved him so much...He was my drug. I didn't do anything without him."

Lousy choice in spouses. But worse in terms of the folks she traveled with.

I heard mention this morning of her entourage (perhaps "posse"), that had been with her in LA.

Now here's a group that can be added to the long list of hangers on, like Elvis' Memphis Mafia, the crew that surrounded Michael Jackson, etc, etc., etc. There to soak up the benefits, but what good are they doing?

MC Hammer had an entourage that bled him dry, financially. At least he's still here to talk about it. You could throw the eminent pugilist Mike Tyson in that category as well.

Pick your posse well!

If you've got a lack of self-worth and a hole in your soul, that you could drive a Mac truck through, you're going to be a lot more susseptible to anything that comes along to try and fill it. RIP, WH.

He may have been her drug but he wasn't her medicine.

Sounds like her relationship with drugs.

As for him, his place in Hell is all warmed up.

Mike Tysons posse rang up hundreds of thousands in cell phone charges for the scores of phones he provided. And cars and homes and and and.

Oh yeah, it's all Bobby's fault - though he's been apart from her for years now.

You folks are in serious denial.

NewAge is a disease,..

That's not at all what I was saying, Crack.  Bobby Brown didn't cause it,  couldn't control it and couldn't have cured it for Whitney.  There's because of a unique emotional nature of the illness of addiction.  The sufferer is the only one who can make the decision for recovery.

I'm not sure how new-agey AA can be, as it's been around since the 1930's.  Regardless, I couldn't really care less.  From a front row seat, I've seen good come of it.

It is always sad when a (talented) human passes early. 48 years young.

Regardless of her associations, it is she that is culpable for her choices.

I will withhold anything further until we hear why she passed. I will always remember her amazing performance at Super Bowl 25, my hair stood on end...just amazing.
