"I keep getting these Giant fans that keep rubbing it in. That's the worst part."

Scott Walker in New York on "Fox and Friends":

Go back to the beginning if you want to hear him "Friend"ing it up about the recall.

Wasn't it Nixon who said "It doesn't matter what they say about you; as long as you get your name out there!"

Where's the downside to this recall?

Aren't people MORE juiced up to vote?

Look what happened, today, to congress critters, who thought taking the money from Hollywood would be easy!

Not so easy.

Even the kids are paying attention.

The Governor sure comes off well on Fox and Friends. Almost as good as our governor in Indiana! :)

Walker comes across well on TV.

One of the reasons the Lefties feel they have to destroy him.

And he's making a good, solid record as Governor.

The male Sarah Palin, if you will.

After reading Carol Herman's post, I really can't believe I got deleted.

Just sayin'....

And how did that work out for him?

Worked out pretty well for him, if you're talking about elections. 1972. Quintessential landslide, obliterating McGovern. What happened after that doesn't apply in this case.

Remember, they had been after Nixon from day one of his running with Eisenhower. They never let up. It finally took Nixon playing by their rules to bring him down.

Nixon had a chance to be an outstanding President and ended up a disgrace. But the disgrace part sure got his name out there.

Bayoneteer said...

What are his chances up there eh cheeseheads?

Nixon was one of our best Presidents, and one of our worst.

Thanks Herman, for trolling the thread.

There are a couple of good articles today on this. One indicates that Walker is going to tie this up in court until May by demanding that the signatures be verified. Second article mentions that the Dems are like the dog that caught the car - they have no one to run against Walker.

What we need is more giants, and more fans of those giants.

And not talking about THOSE Giants.

Walker is preaching to the choir er fixednoise, but he was in NY for $$$, chit/chatting on fixed was just to notify said choir of his please save my ass! $$$ raising site, ditto ;) when he appears on Limbaugh er winger talk radio.

As always, no charge for keen grasp of the obvious!

Very gangsta. haha.

Also, as you may know, I very much oppose Walker...but don't call him a male sarah palin.

Scott is so much more. I might not like that more, but at least its something.

Considering how badly Miss Sarah ties people like Dose of Salts in knots, she's quite a lot herself.

Scott Walker is the only governor in the USA that is looking out for the people of his state. Screw the public employee unions.

That's what they are, employees. They should not be calling the shots. It's the taxpayers money, not the filthy democrats and public unions.

Next thing, Scott? Cut property taxes in half. It would be like drowning the a-holes

I wish we could clone him and send him to every state.

Penny said...

"Scott Walker is the only governor in the USA that is looking out for the people of his state."

With 50 states. What are the chances of that being true?

Shite said...

"With 50 states. What are the chances of that being true?"

Much higher than you think at first.

We can eliminate the 20 states with democrat governors, because they will inherently be screwing the taxpayer over badly through their unholy alliance with the teacher's/public employee unions, ala Wisconsin.

So, the odds are greatly improved with the actual number he has to compete with at 30.

shiloh said...

Shite, when you're in a hole, stop digging ...

Shite said...

I am in no hole, little man. Go vibrate elsewhere, space ace. Surely kos is calling you home.

Penny said...

Au contraire, shiloh.

Let's dig our way to China!

Taking a plane would be more realistic/feasible, but many Althouse peeps are very good at diggin' holes. :-P Much like mama grizzly's bridge to nowhere!

Nixon was one of our best Presidents, and one of our worst.

Nixon was probably the most competent president qua president of the 20th century. Foreign policy and domestic policy, he knew what he was doing (although his venture into wage and price controls in 1971 to try to slow down inflation was poorly advised).

It was that paranoia thing that got him. Not that he didn't have reason to be paranoid. They WERE out to get him, as Chef Mojo above pointed out, all the way back to the Eisenhower administration. And that's not even getting to how they stole the 1960 election from him. So he had a right and good reason to be paranoid. But he didn't handle it well.

Penny said...

"Let's dig our way to China!"

That might need some explanation for the younger set. ha ha

When boomers were kids...and YES, we were once that young...

"Digging to China" was what those of us with imagination SAID we were doing.

Others 'assumed' we were just making mudpies. ;)

Penny said...

Come with us, Shite.

When it comes to "digging with imagination?"

I'd say, the sky's the limit!

Penny said...

Ha ha Did I say that? Oh man...I am SO old that almost sounds new.

Kucinich ~ There was a myth when I was growin' up in Cleveland that if you dig a whole deep enough you'll get to China. Were there! :D

@ 2:59

My nephew who lives on L.I., voted for Kucinich in the 2008 NY primary. So yes Virginia, he's more of a liberal than me ...

Come Sunday's end, the Giants will be home, out of the playoffs, with 30 other teams. They talk much too much. The game is played on the field.

Not much noise coming out of 4949 Centennial Blvd. since Saturday evening.

The game is played on the field.

ohhhh edutcher, I pop in for a rare visit to FauxNoiseland and up you spring in all your glory.
a. "comes across well on TV" - dodging those puffballs served up by airheads?
b. "...destroy him"...hehehe it is either him or me. I pick him.
c. "solid record"... 33&1/3 or 8 track...and he has done what?
d. "Sarah Palin..." well at least we agree - Sarah in jockey shorts...ya'betcha!

What a moron.

Penny said...

Sure is, Tim.

So?

Seems to me we need to play harder AND expand the field.

Penny said...

Course all that from a kid who was "Digging her way to China".

If you dug straight through the earth from where you are in Wisconsin you'd wind up in the middle of the Indian Ocean.

Oh nothing, nothing at all.

Which is why you're supporting a recall.

Duh.

It is odd that so many out-of-staters like ZPS find the time to hate the governor of WI. It does, however, reveal a lot about the average librul.

No state media time this week from Walker, no explanation given. But he has plenty of time for Fox and Limbaugh. Looks like he's pulling a Palin.

Walker is to give the State of State soon, I wonder from which state he'll give it?

garage new theme. Well, at least we don't have to here about the John Doe thing over and over since that blew up his face.

garage, pretty sure Rush and Fox are available in the state, and reach way more people than any local news show and the 20 second sound clip they would show before spinning it to their own narrative.

But don't let that keep you from clutching at your latest straw.

garage mahal said...

But he won't even talk to anyone in the state. What a puss.

I wonder if it has anything to do with the U-Haul with one million signatures that were just dropped off to send him packing? Better yet, maybe all those boxes should be kept to be used to clean out his office.

Brian Brown said...

It is so cute when you pretend a million different people signed those petitions.

Yes!

Because nobody in WI can watch Fox or listen to Limbaugh!

Well you'd hope so. I mean after gathering a million signatures I would hate to see you freedom fighters not have someone to lead the charge to topple tyranny and oppression in Wisconsin.

Last night I heard him on WTMJ. Last time I checked, that's in Milwaukee.

Actually HD, I was adopted. Oops! And not to worry as Althouse conservative inane assumptions is/are systemic. Remember after my last reply to your idiocy you went and hid, which was wise after being totally destroyed.

So I must assume now you're either a masochist or just a frickin' fool! Or both.

As mentioned above, when you're in a hole HD, stop digging ...

take care, blessings
