"Every week, Tebow picks out someone who is suffering, or who is dying, or who is injured. He flies these people and their families to the Broncos game, rents them a car, puts them up in a nice hotel, buys them dinner (usually at a Dave & Buster's), gets them and their families pregame passes, visits with them just before kickoff (!), gets them 30-yard-line tickets down low, visits with them after the game (sometimes for an hour), has them walk him to his car, and sends them off with a basket of gifts."
Tebow is my cup of tea. He's less than half of my age but I have a man-crush on the guy. My wife loves him too. He is exactly the type of person that needs to be seen by everyone.
Now there's a role model for ya'.
Looking forward to the Pats-Broncos tilt tonight for sure.
So Kantor's book is not really flattering to the Obamas. Well done, I guess. The way MO went on CBS for an interview and got all steamed when asked why there were disappointments -- she could not even compose a grammatically correct sentence in response. Oh, my!
@mumpsimus On the other hand, the sweater buttons from the left.
Yes, but that's not really an indicator either, I wear sweater vests at home and the best variety/colors are in the men's dept/stores. I have on a vest that buttons the "wrong" way for my gender as I type. I'd guess by the angle the free arm hangs from the elbow that this is a woman.
I can see Tebow as living out Daniel 11:32's prophecy that in the last days of the corrupt world, "...those that know their God shall be strong and do exploits."
That Hebrew prophet cut right through all of the confusion and described the coming time when people travel to and fro and knowledge greatly increases. And that is also Tebow Time.
Not a fan of little dogs. I like medium size dogs. Big enough of have some real fun with. Small enough to feed without going broke.
But, my brother and his family are on their second toy poodle. Incredibly smart dogs. Understand plain English, even with a Southern accent. Friendly too.
Oh, my! 11 more Solyndras from Obama . This is perhaps what you get if you elect a pay to play expert community organizer from Chicago. Bailout and stimulus monies were like Halloween candy handed to the best disguise. Trick or treat or both! Here the lefties were thinking the Obamas were the idealist duo.
It's a dog stuffed inside the dead flesh of some other animal!
What I know about football could fit on the back of a small postage stamp, but until I hear Tim Tebow is running a dog-fighting ring on the side, torturing and killing the losers and throwing them in a pool to drown, he's fine by me.
Tebow's religion arouses such strong and angry feelings one would imagine the founder was lucky to escape a barbaric execution and endless vituperation.
He is exactly the type of person that needs to be seen by everyone.
Yes. Especially in pro sports. I pay little or no attention, and the general impression I get is that they're almost all spoiled brats or cons. Even Tiger Woods turned out to be creepy.
Somewhere, in some alternate universe, poodles are carrying tea cup people around in shoulder bags, and cats are laughing at us.
I worked on this guys home once, and when I walked into his living room there was a pile of black blankets on the floor. And I mean a PILE. Two feet tall.
The guy came hurrying in saying "Don't let my babies scare you" About that time a large head raised up out of the blankets, then a second, and finally a third. As the blanket untangled itself until I was facing 3 Newfundlands. A Newfie is a massive dog that's shaped like a St. Bernard. Each dog , he told me weighed around 250 lbs., which is what I weighed. Being a dog guy, and for some reason, a natural with animals I didn't have any problems, but Holy Jeezus those were big dogs.
As for Merlin, I got a cat I got from the humane shelter, damn thing looks like a ham on toothpicks.(little tiny legs)
Tebow rocks, Jesus saves, Gretzky gets the rebound! He scores!!
The woman in the picture is a stranger. She walked by as we were eating in a sidewalk cafe and I asked if I could take a picture of her poodles. She posed.
(Beginning to feel vindicated in my assessment - Pittsburgh was weakened...)
Tebow is an inspiring QB, but this game is not telling me to build a franchise around him.
I am not a hater. I am familiar with Tim Tebow since he was a QB in the southeast. I do not hate Tim Tebow. It is possible to give a thumbs down without hatred.
Game's not over. Will eat my hat as they say if he can turn things around, or if anyone can.
For me NO vs SF was a bit similar to bama vs LSU. Both games, bama was better but lost the first game. In today's game, SF is 'bama, and they won. Less an offensive powerhouse than the saints, but what a defense. That's some old fashioned football there, and yet look at the score. I wanted New Orleans to win, and was sad they didn't, but it seems the 49ers had this game in hand early in the 1st quarter. I sensed bad things from that point onward. Too many turnovers. Wish I could be excited about them, but I'm not. Sad face, no ledge.

If I had a million dollars I'd give my dog a million bones.
That's a confusing image.
From the hands, I'd say this woman (it is a woman, right?) is about 50 years old, but from the purse I would have guessed them to be 10 or 12.
A photo that could only be taken in a college town.
Maybe it's a dude.
So I guess that's not a purse, but a satchel. A Hello Kitty satchel. Accompanied by a rat dog in a fur-bag and a pink sweater.
Hmm . . . reading a political thriller. On the other hand, the sweater buttons from the left.
Second dog (on the sidewalk) may be a toy poodle. Hard to be sure given the limited view.
At least there are not shorts.
Five of those dogs added together would weigh less than our pet Merlin. For the record, Merlin is not a dog. He is a cat.

I'm officially* off the Newt bandwagon.
Newt lost me.
In short.. Newt cant tell the forest for the trees.
Talk about somebosy who will say anything..
Newt dosent seem to have any core values.

keep austin weird?
Tebow is obviously a very polarizing figure.
Looks like a "B" cup to me.
WWTD?
Pastafarian: From the hands, I'd say this woman (it is a woman, right?)...
Maybe it's a dude.
Maybe they don't self-identify with either gender :|

Which Flynn book? "Memorial Day"?
chewbacca sure makes an ugly purse...
Don't look like no teacup to me.
Sherlock is just bigger than a teacup and he's 3 1/2 pounds.
I bet that little bag belongs to her granddaughter.
I'm not a big fan of the toy dog breeds. My big dog weighs 80 pounds and the little one weighs 45. They have chew toys bigger than that little guy.

Perhaps the picture is a mirror image and left is right or vice versa
WV recop Wheh a cop is jusy not enough, recop
The one in the "purse" has a very dainty paw.
David, the image of that cruise ship on its side was quite the sight.
Viator, I just linked to that same article about Tebow in a post on my own blog here.
Go GIANTS !!

Is the woman in that picture in this picture?

Close those open threads!
So is Tebow still maturing or...?

Anyone who's reading Vince Flynn's "Memorial Day" (fiction about the CIA fighting terrorists) can't be a bad person...
Any Saints fans who need to be talked off a ledge? Wow, that was an exciting last 5 minutes.
This Denver @ New England game is all together a different creature. Fun to watch, but not likely to produce any last-minute drama.

I've got to give N.O. a lot of credit for bouncing back from that disastrous opening. They didn't embarrass themselves.
As for Denver, ouch.
Big 'Niner win.
Redemption for Alex Smith.
Defense still matters.
It's not always about "elite" QB's and pinball offenses.
Don't sleep on the 'Niners - they just could win it all.
