"40.6 trillion dollars in debt. Over 9% unemployment. But you know what Milwaukee? Those are just facts."

"And at its best, this country has never been about facts. It's been about belief. It's been about looking at the facts and saying, 'No.' "

"The Daily Show"'s John Oliver, doing standup comedy in Milwaukee last night, and (according to the Journal Sentinel) experiencing "one fleeting moment when he lost his crowd" — apparently, because he aimed some criticism at Barack Obama.

The truth hurts, don't it?

He criticized Barack????

Stone him! Crucify him! Throw him to the lions!!!

According to the polls, GodZero had another flatline for SOTU.

Yes, the Republicans may just be able to put up anybody and still win.

WV "fired" (no kidding) Mr Trump. Please pick up any white courtesy telephone.

PS Crack, I like the Zero poster. If it's yours, you could make a fortune.

Garage,

I noticed, but unlike you, I looked it up on Google.

What's the matter? Mad I don't waste my life arguing with you like the rest of these idiots?

You're an idiot.

There was one fleeting moment when he lost his crowd, after suggesting that if Obama had the intestinal fortitude, he would have delivered a State of the Union address without any sugarcoating.

The liberal crowd didn't know what intestinal fortitude is. Context. Context.

Too close to the funny bone.

And we ALL know just how painful that can be.

Penny said...

As a country, we will have had quite enough of Obama when we LAUGH about "Hope and Change".

Penny said...

That isn't going to happen anytime soon.

I don't know which distresses me more. President Obama's track record. Or that there are people who actually get upset if someone criticizes it/him.

Actually I do know.

The Conservatives need to reflect on one big fact: Obama's voice and smile win over the crowds that are not thinkers watching reality.

We may know that he is all Con-man and ONLY dedicated to dismantling the American economy and thereby eliminating the American Military's ability to make us the world's hegemon.

But the voters he needs to finish us off for another 4 years like him, and they like his wife, and they like his family. And they are falling for the big lie about his being for Fairness in incomes.

If Romney goes into the fall as a stiff, non-authentic, inoffensive, abstract talking, super rich country club Republican, Obama will win 60/40.

Somebody who can relate with the white, middle class workers, needs to start fighting Obama's lies with the blunt anglo-saxon worded truth right between his eyes.

What else do you expect when people transfer their spiritual appetite to worship a Divine Being to a Mere Mortal? At least with Christianity, the fanatics satisfy their needs (see: hiearchy of) with the Word of mere intermediaries.

But when you transfer all that "devout" energy to worshipping a living man, you get another chapter of death and desolation for the history books.

O/T

The DOJ has dumped 400 pages of emails onto NPR,(that bastion of fairness in reporting) dealing with AG Eric Holder and the Agent Terry murder.

Turns out that Holders office was notified within hours of Agent Terry's death, and that a gun from "Fast and Furious" had been used. The receiver of the email notification responded that he had personally notified the AG, the AAG, etc, by phone.

So Eric Holder, Esteemed AG, perjured himself in congressional testimony, and we have proof of that fact.

These are the e-mails the WH is dumping willingly. There is no telling how far up the ladder this little chain goes(my guess is to Godzero himself), but that they are willing to throw Holder under the bus now, does that give you an idea how high?

As before, I stand by my prediction that presidential pardons are already written out and signed, merely awaiting a date.

Ps. Do you really, in your heart of hearts, believe the first black president is going to fire the first black AG? Really?

This reminds me of one of Thomas Sowell's astute observations: "It is hard to understand politics if you are hung up on reality. Politicians leave reality to others. What matters in politics is what you can get the voters to believe, whether it bears any resemblance to reality or not."

He doesn't listen - he doesn't even comprehend. He just keeps on ticking. I have no idea why you guys talk to him. I see one of your "debates" with him and just keep moving. He's hopeless.

Paul Kirchner,

Thomas Sowell's one of my favorites. I'll add: "It is hard to understand religion and spirituality if you are hung up on reality. Preachers, priests and gurus, etc., leave reality to others. What matters in religion and spirituality is what you can get the suckers to believe, whether it bears any resemblance to reality or not."

The West in the 21st century - after the (real) Enlightenment and everything - it's a hoot.

Or you could subscribe to the Elizabeth Warren mentality that in the end all corporations really belong to "the people" because of government built infrastructure. Never mind that before the 1930s, all utilities were privately constructed.

Of course, those of us like the derided Tea Party have been making this point, but with the useful optimism that a major change of course can prevent the collapse. We have been called everything from racist to crazy to cruel, while those saying everything will be just fine have been considered the smart reasonable and level-headed. Saying "no" to facts is the new "intelligent", "sophisticated", "educated" and everything smart. From AGW, to central planning, to appeasement of evil, the facts are just "An Inconvenient Truth" to be overcome with politics.

I never appreciated the bible's prediction that the meek shall inherit the earth. I think it's more likely that the stupid will.

I'm not meek, but I am certainly the modern definition of stupid. I intend to stay that way and my kind will inherit the Earth after the smart make the whole damned thing bankrupt in every sense of the word.

He makes the perfect libtard foil. Our words are meant for him, but he's not the target audience.

But you're right about Lefty shamelessness. Credibilty means nothing to them. They'll squander it to smear a 2nd tier candidate and then simply adopt another sockpuppet. Rinse. Cycle. Repeat.

Yes, but the way is stupid. I can't respect anyone who never concedes a point, and he's been proven wrong so often you'd think - just once - he'd look in the mirror and ask, "What's wrong with me?"

bagoh20,

I never appreciated the bible's prediction that the meek shall inherit the earth.

Timing, my man. Timing.

Fen,

Our words are meant for him, but he's not the target audience.

By engaging him the way you do, you miss the target. Shut them down. Show them they get nowhere by letting them get nowhere. It's like with NewAge quackery, where they declare it always "needs more research." No - just stop feeding the beast.

But you're right about Lefty shamelessness.

It's just circular logic - deployed to keep YOU in the circle. Stop talking to them and they'll have to change.

Henry,

Florence King is dead now, but she called out "The Republic of Nice" a long time ago.

As I told one of my (crazier) readers a few days ago, those "types are some of the nicest killers - and apologists for killers - the world has ever known."
