Actually it leaves nothing done regarding debt.

I disagree; Washington's year of drama leaves a lot done regarding debt--it greatly increased it.

The Debt is safe.

So all US Dollar held investments are at risk of disappearing.

Obama's already preparing to ask for another debt ceiling hike.

When every "bi-partisan compromise" involves growing the size of government, this is what you get.

At some point you have to oppose that kind of compromise to solve the problem.

In the past, strong recoveries have followed deep recessions.

What has derailed Obama's plan this time is the shatted illusion that the economy is a "black box", one that despite government policy will always eventually recover enough to support each new round of increased spending.

...shattered, shatted.

In this case, pretty much the same thing.

More like McConnell, Lugar, & Co, but the point is valid.

But at least he's not as bad as Pelosi, so we should be thankful and support him, right?

Sounds like the "he's not as bad as Hitler" justification for supporting Romney.
