Julianne Moore as Sarah Palin.

Not quite Meryl Streep as Margaret Thatcher... but still....

Damn you, woman, how many times do I have to tell you "NO"?

May even exceed "W" in attendance.

She is the go to girl to play all these women politicians. Didn't she play Hillary Clinton too in some movie that came out in the last two years? Palin has a specific way of speaking. It didn't look like Moore even tried to speak like Palin.

Why didn't they hire Tina Fey?

Sydney beat me to it!

"Why didn't they hire Tina Fey?"

Because Fey is already signed up to play a different character in the movie: Tina Fey, a comedienne who impersonates Palin during the campaign, and does so with such effect that years later people will still be mocking Palin not for what she said but for what the comedienne said spoofing her.

It is beyond surreal to me that this movie exists.

Julianne Moore is a fine selection. Good actress and the carpet matches the drapes. *wink*

I just question HBO choosing to do a movie about McCain and Palin. There is really no nogistalia for either, no one of note wanted either to run in 2002. Palin was 26 points behind Obama in polls right before she announced she wouldn't run (lower than Michelle Bachmann). And pollsters said McCain was down there as well, but it was hard to get a good poll on the question of McCain vs. Obama round II, because too many of the respondents thought the pollsters were joking with them.

You notice Julianne says we want "people who are going to take care of us"?

Moore appears nude in a lot of her movies.

To Palin's credit, I don't think Moore could do Palin justice in the nude.

"I don't think Moore could do Palin justice in the nude."

I'm willing to withhold judgement, however.

She doesn't look anything like Palin. IMO. They are both beautiful, but hardly ringers.

Anyway, I don't know why anyone, right or left, would want to relive the 08 campaign.

Nostalgia is a big motivator. Better than anything else Democrats have to offer this time around.

You gonna trust any news source that captions a photo of Palin with a reference to "the [2008] Democratic Convention where she made her political debut..."?

Why do Hollywood liberals act in movie role as people they loathe in real life?

Why does anyone give even the tiniest credence to a project made by haters of the people they portray?

This is why I avoid HBO movies.

The money may help.

Portraying someone you loathe is supposed to show range, which for actors in another form of self love.

What Chase said.

Wasted time = waste of life

What I meant to say was that for me to spend anytime on the hate projects of tinsel town is a waste of time, ergo a waste of my life. I'm probably an idiot for even spending the few seconds commenting on these worthless people.

Nicole Kidman would have been a better pick.
