Sarah Palin says: "Fire Eric Holder."

A new Facebook missive:
He’s either lying [about Fast & Furious] or he’s so grossly incompetent and lazy that he didn’t read important life and death briefings from his deputy attorney general and didn’t know about this deadly operation run by people under him. So, which is it? Incompetent, lazy, or lying? No matter which explanation fits, he needs to go.

Eric Holder should be prosecuted. A special prosecutor should be appointed to get to the bottom of the F&F/Gun Walker screw-up ASAP.

I will say lazy.

Thank you, Sarah. But I think Holder has been proving these points himself for several months.

Go back to Farmville. We'll tweet if we need you.

Holder himself put the kibosh on any comparisons between Wide Receiver and Fast & Furious during his congressional testimony. Not that it will stop our resident Holder apologists from trotting that tripe out, but one cannot dispute the facts of the matter.

I am not a SP fan. But she often times is able to separate the wheat from the chaffe. Someone else could give a long, eloquent argument about Holder's shortcomings and mistakes. Palin nails it down quickly: incompetent, lazy or lying.

Chip Ahoy said...

Why box yourself into just three choices? How about competent, active, and pursuing a plan? You would say that falls under lying and then I'd say, that's misdirection and part of the plan.

If McCain had not had an idiot brain fart that woman might have been a good politician after being governor for a dozen years.

Amazing how direct that honky coward can be when you push her too far, eh Eric?

Triangle Man said...

That's an interesting opinion. I'd like to poll some other former governors of small states (say those with less than a million people) to see if this is a consensus view among these important people.

I'm guessing Judy Martz and M. Michael Rounds would be on board, but Ruth Ann Miner might not agree.

This isn't about Sarah Palin, garage. This is about Eric Holder. He is a lying son of a bitch who has done his best to subvert the Second Amendment, as you've done your best once again to change the subject. Neither your best, nor his, is good enough.

It's easy for any Administration to be blamed for a lethal mistake.

Reagan allowed 250 unarmed Marines to be dispatched like lambs in a slaughter in 1983 after he used air and naval guns to hit targets the Israelis instructed to be hit - tilting from a peace mission - and inviting Shiite retaliation as zionist tools.

Bush and his Neocons caused 45,000 American casualties on his "Nation-build the Noble Iraqis" crusade.

Clinton had his Somali debacle.

Instead, Daley is leaving the White House.

Eric Holder won't be fired.

Maybe, he's the best reason any candidate has in getting Obama out of office.

Sarah Palin comes through with this feat yet again.

...and this is the man that arrogantly called Americans "cowards", as he hides behind his lies, deceipt and complete lack of integrity.

Eric Holer is a piss ant, plain and simple.

He has sold his soul and once you do that, there is no line in the sand that you are not willing to cross to rationalize your behavior.

Paul said...

And with the White House refusing to turn over emails, I bet Obama KNEW and OK'ED the whole operation.

So what does that make Obama? Incompetent, lazy, or a liar. Or worse, an accomplice to murder?

n.n said...

She keeps making the right assessments; but, for some reason, there is a pervasive perception of her incompetence. It's unfortunate that a widely propagated misconception was so readily accepted. There must be some powerful interests in America and abroad who just don't like her.

traditionalguy said...

Sarah needs to stop giving Obama ideas.

I mean her line that it is like giving nuclear weapon detonator parts to Iran so we can trace the devices as they are launched at Israel is exactly the doable idea in the Netanyahu hating White House will execute next. Why it sounds almost reasonable. The perfect cover story.

JAL said...

Right on, Sarah.

First the Obama cronyism, now the Obama Department of Dirty Cops.

Look at Holder history. He has a record of doing the wrong thing so many times. And claiming he didn't know after the fact.

No one with the apparent memory deficits he has should be give any authority. He apparently is ill.

Or evil.

JAL said...

Holder may have been "proving these points himself" but only 34 -- or is it now 35 Congress critters are calling for his removal by resignation or by fiat.

n.n said...

As for "Fast & Furious", and similar operations, combined with the focus on deporting so-called "criminal" illegal aliens, they are effectively establishing a penal colony south of our border, with the criminals in charge.

They are also inventing additional incentive for people to ignore our laws and enter this nation illegally, which necessarily results in the progressive displacement of American men, women, and children; and is an unmeasured burden on our society and communities.

"Operation Fast & Furious" does not make any sense. They bought guns in the US for $500 and sold them in Mexico for $3-4,000, which would make a nice sideline for some grunts in the field, even after expenses for payoffs, etc., but it was still a penny ante operation, nowhere near what it would take to involve higher-up corruption, especially as high as this went.

Others apparently agree with me on that score, so they have come up with it being a dastardly plot to provoke a backlash that could be used to justify more Federal gun control laws.

I think this is equally farfetched, but then, just what in the world happened? And why? And how?

Is it just a smalltime scam that grew, and everybody thought it was someone else's program, and for professional courtesy's sake they should or could not interfere?

Today-

(Reuters) — President Barack Obama believes harsh immigration stances of Republicans will drive Latino votes toward him in next year’s election.

Speaking with Hispanic reporters at the White House on Wednesday, Democrat Obama said simply replaying the remarks about immigration made by the Republican presidential candidates would help him secure the backing of Latino voters.

There is also this, that officers of the United States have been engaging in what is effectively "acts of war" against a friendly nation, and that is no small thing.

Lipperman said...

You mean an Act of War?
Perhaps, but there's no doubt that F&F was an attack on the 2nd Amendment.
’90 per cent… of the guns the Mexican drug cartels are using come from the United States.’

Synova said...

Cedarford has a point. It's easy to blame any particular administration for mistakes that cost lives. When anyone has that much power, "Oopsies" can, and will, have dire consequences. And it's nearly a given that those sorts of dire screw-ups will happen.

I can almost see why someone thought that they might gain something important from those programs.

That doesn't let Holder off the hook for incompetence. Or Obama, for that matter, simply for having it happen while he was President. That's the weight involved for both of them for the jobs they hold.

What's most important isn't that a screw-up occurred, even though a little inconvenient righteousness (ie, moral backbone) would have made clear it was all a very bad idea from the start. It's what they did about it, how it was handled when it came to light, and how it relates to other political issues, that means Holder should lose his job.

Roux said...

She's right and I wish she was still in the race.

FWIW Holder is not lazy or incompetent. HE IS PURE EVIL.

I remember that stuff and all the demands that we have tougher gun laws and suggestions that our gun laws, which do not allow the sale of automatic machine gun type of weapons, were responsible for military machine gun type of weapons showing up south of the border.

My bet is that the whole scheme was cooked up to raise support for gun control. Obama even said he had some things cooking on the down low. But our completely co-opted media would never deign to ask him what he meant or demand that the trail be followed to the top. Not while there are rocks laying around with racial epithets painted on them.

Supposedly the Mexican government was not told about this program but to my knowledge they have not uttered a single peep of protest.

Joe Schmoe said...

I'm glad Palin wrote this. It's pretty savvy whether she intended it to be or not: the MSM won't cover Fast & Furious, but they will cover anything Palin says (in haughty, sniffling tones). Ergo, Palin gets Fast & Furious into the MSM.

Imagine if F&F had gone down under John Ashcroft. Oh the hue and cry, and rightfully so. I can't believe this is being tolerated in the press just because they are so in the tank for the prez.

Yes, this is her great strength. She worded her diatribe perfectly. I like how she put the 2nd amendment aspect as an afterthought at the end, rather than making it a main point.

Gets it all right out there in a manner that J. Q. Public can understand without having to wade through the comments section of a political blog to put it all together.

Brilliant!
