Beautiful, but the soundtrack was distracting. Another choice would have made a big difference to the overall impression. Also, I don't think humanity was responsible for the best parts or the artwork.
The clip of the brightly lighted Indo-Pak border was an eye-opener.
Yeah, the music didn't push any of my positive buttons, but a few in the annoyance register. Don't know what would have been better though... maybe the sound of silence?
That video was a much better version than the one I'd seen before... but where did they find that scratchy old record for the soundtrack? Geez that was awful.
Aside from the twisty red ribbon that turned out to be the India-Pakistan border, the other thing I really wondered about was the large orange-lit area that's in the middle of the screen at 00:34. Is it that new oil patch in North Dakota that all the unemployed people are supposed to move to now?

Pretty amazing stuff.
Thank you Ann Althouse.
(I watched it with the sound off.)
I watched without sound as well. Beautiful.

We do love the light, don't we?

Visually beautiful but the music sucks.

A better soundtrack would have been the first few minutes of this.
Another silent watcher.
I'd be looking out the window all the time if I were on ISS.
I really think if it has time lapse photography, it has to use music from this film:

And MadMan, as cool as the view from the windows would be, you wouldn't see this. It's the magic of CMOS low-light sensors that makes this possible.
I think I saw Lambeau Field.
Paul Z: Yes, that would have been much better.

Man, that was gorgeous! I want a really high res version of that so I can figure out how to make a "screen-saver" out of it.
Crazy squid boats.
I saw my house!
