For those who remain able to suck a $200K-ish annual salary from the public tit, there's probably still some time left, which had best be used to stash the cash in the bird feed before the proles show up with their torches and pitchforks demanding retribution.
O Rose, thou art sick! The invisible worm That flies in the night, In the howling storm, Has found out thy bed Of crimson joy: And his dark secret love Does thy life destroy.
Maybe Chip Ahoy can modify the image with that in mind.
--sink, howe'er depressed, So low as to be scorned without a sin; Without offence to God cast out of view; Like the dry remnant of a garden flower Whose seeds are shed, or as an implement Worn out and worthless.
Time was up for a couple of 19 y.o. young men on Thursday. They picked the wrong home to invade. Broke and entered the home of a 55 y.o. man, pistol whipped him and demanded he open his safe. He did, and turned on them with his own gun shooting both in the abdomen. They ran - one died in outside his home, one at a nearby gas station. He called 911 and reported the incident. No charges have been filed.
Sad that bad decisions lead to such deadly consequences. Hopefully it will be a deterrent to future similar incidents.
"Why weren't the roses picked and plucked into a vase before one of them died on the vine?"
It's a matter of timing. Rose plants need to "harden off" for winter. Here in USDA Hardiness Zone 4b-5a, rose gardeners stop watering, fertilizing, cutting, and dead-heading (removing spent blooms) sometime around late August - early September so that plants slow their production of tender new growth that would make the entire plant vulnerable to sub-zero winter temperatures.

I'll have a shot of Four Roses to honor this picture.

Is this an Oil of Olay advertisement?
They market wrinkle creams by their price...the women assume the $100 per oz. cream really works better than the $30 per oz. cream.
Why else would it cost more??
And whatever happened with Obama's planned tax on plastic surgeons? It was marketed as a "sin tax."
... there's still some time left.
No, there ain't.
Not for the bulk of us, anyway.

Packers are outrageous. Their backup blew through the Vikes like a hot knife through butter. Always nice to see.
The Packers abused the Vikings worse than Sandusky on a 10 year old boy in the PSU showers!
not funny lev
Insert obligatory Blake quote:
O Rose, thou art sick!
The invisible worm
That flies in the night,
In the howling storm,
Has found out thy bed
Of crimson joy:
And his dark secret love
Does thy life destroy.

Or Wordsworth:
--sink, howe'er depressed,
So low as to be scorned without a sin;
Without offence to God cast out of view;
Like the dry remnant of a garden flower
Whose seeds are shed, or as an implement
Worn out and worthless.

Gather ye rosebuds while ye may...
A very poignant evocation, Madame.

"Packers are outrageous."
Aaron Rodgers is simply the best QB the league has seen since Peyton Manning became so dominant.
He has the temperament of a winner. He may be a guy capable of making Pack fans say 'Brett who?' in the future. If not now.
Talk about a double-check discount!

Brent who?????
If not now.
Last year.
Brent is so last century.
Rose is a rose is a rose.
Business is the business of business.

Delta Dawn,
What's that flower you have on?
Could it be a faded rose,
from days gone by?
You can take the boy from the trailer park, but sometimes not the trailer park from the boy!
I beg your pardon.
I never promised you a rose garden.

I won't send roses /
And roses suit you so.
