At the start At the start It's like your a kid again Eyes wide again And all the candy is yet to come As the musicians scrape and hum Before the before the before They begin to play is the very best part.
I helped my dad tune a pipe organ once. It's a chore, and you've got to sit in the pipe-loft and get your ear blasted while you physically fiddle with the pipe. They are loud. Churches and such usually have baffles that can be closed or opened to control the volume.
Such a pretty theater; I never get tired of looking at it.
PS to Syn: That pipe organ is considered "the largest movable concert organ in the world." At one time people could make an appointment to play it, but not sure if they still do that anymore.
In his first 2 professional games JJ Watt has recovered a fumble and blocked a field goal. I don't know how many balls he's batted down at the line of scrimmage but quite a few. The guy is a beast and he's made every player around him play better.
Off to the hospital to get angio....grammed. I may be back this evening, or more likely I'll be their guest tonight and back tomorrow afternoon.

That costs serious money.
And, you don't have to live in Manhattan or Paris to get "culture."
Notice, too, the difference in acoustics between the concert hall and the rotunda.
Wood makes all the difference.

What a boondagle.
The place is losing money big time Madison.
Sorry, you aren't a world class city. Next time think smaller, much smaller.

Beethoven's 9th is coming to town this weekend. Pure pleasure.

Perhaps it was the lack of coffee this mornring, but I could of swore your title read, "At the Overreach Cafe..." and a picture of Obama glowed at me.
Agree with purple (first J, now this...).
Very nice venue.
And Titus is wrong - again.
You should have a beautiful place to see and hear beautiful things, regardless of the "class" of the city.
And here's some amazing footwork on the world's largest church pipe-organ, at West Point.

Actually he is right. Despite the claims when it was built, the place is no where near financially self sufficient and costs the taxpayers millions.
That's by definition a "boondoggle". Let the patrons support it.
You can see the seat I had in one of the upper balconies when I took my daughter to see Mamma Mia. Vertigo City Seat.
