Well, you know… Yes. “Tentative” is the operative word, though. But Michael [Patrick King] and I can’t help but talk about it whenever we’re together, and as I said, we keep coming up with “Wouldn’t it be funny if she was doing this, this, and this” ideas. And then at some point, we start wondering, “Is it a special that we ask to do? Or is it a limited series that we ask to do? What are we asking to do? What is it that we want to do? What do we have time for? What would you be willing to do?” So that just keeps going back and forth. And Michael truly has no time right now, that’s for sure.If you don't know "The Comeback," it was a 1-season HBO show that, I guess, was a little challenging for viewers. Some say people had trouble watching the main character get into humiliating difficulties. (Were we more sophisticated back in the 1950s when we had great fun watching Lucille Ball get stymied at every turn?)
Here, buy every episode of "The Comeback" ever made (so far!), and either love it or complain to me about why it really did deserve to be cancelled.
Speaking of continuing great Lisa Kudrow things, the linked article also says there's a possibility of a sequel to "Romy and Michele's High School Reunion."

Why would they bother with this when "Herman's Head" still languishes without remake buzz?
When did Lisa Kudrow get great or wonderful?
Am I the only person who loves Lisa Kudrow but never watched "Friends"? (Except that one time when Brad Pitt was on.)
Romy and Michelle Sequel? I don't know what that would be like...
I like Lisa Kudrow OK and rarely watched "Friends." But, she's not great and her acting ability is limited to being Lisa Kudrow, which is OK some of the time.
Roseanne Barr is coming back. Different "family." This one grows nuts on a farm in Hawaii.
The bigger question, of course, is that will people go back to watching TV in droves, like they used to do?
My favorite show was ALL IN THE FAMILY. (And, what made it even funnier, is the writers thought the audiences would hate Archie Bunker.)
Althouse and McCardle: Romy and Michele Bloggingheads about The One.
You could argue which one of you is the Mary or the Rhoda.
wvf: gyngary. (oh, the female Mamet play!)
Oh, and Michele Goldberg could be the "Garofalo".....
Am I the only one still waiting for the "Smelly Cat" Friends spin-off?
I hope she can make it happen, because I don't think Web Therapy is going to cut it. Surely Bravo or Logo or something like that would pick up a new Comeback, if Showtime won't. We recently watched the whole series over again and laughed even harder the second time around. The DVD commentary is very good too.
We're re-watching Anna Nicole a little bit too. I don't know if I have a comment about that.
In other news, the new season of Curb Your Enthusiasm is off to a good start, I think.
I have no opinion about Ms. Kudrow, but if Mira Sorvino is in the movie, I will watch it.
I loved "The Comeback"... the sensibility was very similar to "Curb Your Enthusiasm" or "Fawlty Towers"... the protagonist was constantly being humiliated by his/her own actions.
I have seen her in some small independent films that were very good. I saw a couple of The Comeback episodes, and they were uncomfortable to watch. She projects too much intelligence to make her humiliations seem amusing. Lucy never realized that she was humiliated. That was part of the joke. Plus, it must be said that Lucy had more sex appeal than Lisa Kudrow and that gives a woman a protective shield while it lasts.
Lisa Kudrow tried to do a Larry David. The problem is that Lisa Kudrow is supposed to be nice and so the viewers' expectations of her were dashed when she did bitchy and they punished her by not viewing again. Of Larry David there are no such expectations. Ergo no viewer anger at his rottenness.
Roseann Barr is coming back.
Will someone please God tell me what constitutes Barr's appeal?
Will someone please God tell me what constitutes Barr's appeal?
She's not Rosie O'Donnell?
The thing about Lisa Kudrow is that on friends the writers transformed her from the sweet hippie formerly homeless chick to a ravening bitch on wheels that they all tried to avoid. I think the attitude of the writers had something to do with her real personality. It often happens that way. They way you treat the writers and producers leaks into how you are portrayed. Case in point now...Teresa of the Real Housewives of New Jersey.
I just heard that Russell Armstrong the husband of one of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills has killed himself.
He hung himself because of financial problems brought about by his estranged wife's behavior on the show and how he will be portrayed in the upcoming season.
Sometimes people don't realize the effect on real life of this made up for TV reality programing bullshit.
This would be worthy of a thread. Just sayn'
I'm actually really enjoying her in Web Therapy, it's almost as hard to watch as The Comeback. Loving all the guest stars.
Also watched that brit dude on CNN HLN (don't like him enough to remember his name) interview her - it was a good interview.
Troop, that guy killed himself for other reasons, but being married to that skank probably didn't increase his desire to live, just sayin'.
WV: noexcest - so, incest?
Well Sixty his whole life was splashed on TV. He had no money but she spent $50000 on a kids birthday party to keep up with the rich bitches on the show. It looked like he was in physical pain when he was filmed and they forced him to film his marriage therapy sessions!
The focus on this season will be about his "abuse" of his wife who will cry crocodile tears about the alleged mental and physical abuse that he put her through. And America would buy it wholesale.
One scene told it all. He bought his daughter a puppy when she told him not too and the face she made and the way she acted told the whole story right there.
She killed this poor mook as sure as if she kicked the chair from out of his legs.
To me this story is a lot more interesting than the latest gaffe by the Jug Eared Jesus or the latest chants by dirty hippies in crazy town.
At one time the nexus of reality television and real life was topic here. I found it very interesting. In fact it was the reason I started reading.
I think this is a big topic that should be explored. Just sayn'
I am also quite fond of Lisa Kudrow's work. It doesn't hurt that she's beautiful in a way that works great for comedy, rather like Julia Louis-Dreyfus.
Kudrow was great in The Opposite of Sex, playing someone fairly different from her normal typecast roles.
not so sure that a comeback to 'the comeback' is the best idea. you can't ever really go back again. onward and upward.
her new series,'web therapy', has been a total hoot. a roster of talented guests stars are doing a terrific job with the ad lib dialogue...i particularly enjoyed lily tomlin's hilarious turn as kudrow's disapproving mother (and she was devastating as the conniving mom on 'damages' last season)...the old gal still has it.
