It will be like the commenting process over at Volokh. How do you feel about that?

Will you comment at the newly independent Althouse blog?

Another reason to hate Blogger.

When I went to post my last comment, Blogger required that I sign in, again. It had been, maybe a half an hour since my last comment through Blogger. What a pain.

Now if the "back room" had large puppets

and regular Monty Python clips

and few to no material on Bob Dylan or the Sartoralist

then maybe I'd join.

Would we get a hat or T-shirt or something? Maybe some choice in-season morels.

virgil,

"Branching threads, once one gets used to them, actually gives greater flexibility to multi-point/subj arguments, imho. "

But they destroy, destroy, destroy the flow of conversation. If what you want is a fancy hierarchical thing, go write a wiki.

The nice thing about branching threads is that they let you easily ignore a branch that has wandered into unpleasant territory.

I recall an incident a while back where Ritmo and another regular were exchanging scatological insults. I didn't need to read that.

What Kirk said: "But they destroy, destroy, destroy the flow of conversation."
