Courtney Love is concerned for Gaga because of all the "gay handlers" around Gaga. Courtney knows because she was like raised by fags-at least that is what she said in an excellent interview in some addict mag.
I love Weird Al. And the scary thing about this video is that even the outfits that Gaga hasn't actually worn, you know she would totally try. The intestines wrapped around the neck--that was funny.
My most favorite Weird Al parody is probably White and Nerdy, though I also love the classic Amish Paradise. Really, almost all of his songs are hilarious...
My wife and I have been Weird Al fans since about birth. He serenaded her during I Wanna Be Your Lover at his Chandler AZ show a couple weeks ago, and now I'm bummed because I'll never be able to compete with that. ;)
It's not as good as Pee Wee's Big Adventure, but it is uplifting and has a lot of great gags. I Weird Al would do more movies. I also wish Jim Varney were still alive. Ernest P. Worrell was a great character.
I was in Tucson last Wednesday and he was performing there in a really small venue. Until I saw his name on the marquee I assumed he was dead or retired.
To quote a friend of mine: "Warning: cannot be unseen."
Indeed.
(Said friend is actually a friend of Al's, too.)
The Avatar CG technology is still a bit expensive, as I understand it. A lot of this video is simply pasting Al's head on someone's body. It's obvious fakery, and it works - totally fits Al's wacky style.
Love Weird Al, but not great. Possibly because he's just reenacting and reciting what Lady Gaga does. There's not much gap between the reality and the reducto ad absurdum.

I believe he does. But he always requests and obtains the permission of the artist before doing so. There's a backstory about Lady Ga Ga orignally refusing to grant permission, but then relenting, saying it was a misunderstanding. You can read it at Weird Al's website.

Well, that's disturbing.
Love it and absolutely Love Gaga.
Her new video and song is so 80's.

I need a drink after watching that video. I think I'll have a blueberry daiquiri.

I was interested in gaga for 5 minutes last year. Weird Al, on the other hand, continues to impress me with his great feats of mocking.

I like Adele.

Great and no ridiculous synchronized dancing.
My kids and I particularly liked
And for no reason now I'll sing in French
Excusez-moi, Qui a pété? (Who cut the cheese?)
Hate to tell ya, but Weird Al doesn't look that weird next to Gaga.
Eggshell ant.
I swear, it looks like Al has some cleavage in some of those shots. Plus you can't see his "junk". I always liked Al's twisted talent.
Of course, I'm not suprised our friend Titus is a big Gaga fan. Though I do like Courtney, all baggage considered.

That was pretty good. I did not realize Weird Al was still out there. Nice dig with the Madonna references.
Someone put all of UHF on youtube:

I thought "the cheese" in French was "le fromage".
Remembered from an old Steve Martin skit...
I'm glad Al did that.
Now, I don't have to watch the original.
That is quintessential Weird Al. My favorite is eat it.

In addition to the other recommendations, here's a link to Weird Al's classic, "Fat."
(Warning: It's preceded by a 30-second commercial.)

In case you weren't be facetious. That wasn't Al's body. Get with the program, trucker, Avatar was last year's technology.
Are you sure that's Weird Al? Looks like Jane Krakowski to me.

ann,
over at patterico's, in the comments, we are discussing whether weird al would have the right to make his parodies as "fair use."
EG, here.

Somewhere there's a turquoise Muppet who has been scarred for life.

That looks like Judith Light from "Whose the Boss".

Actually Lady Gaga first attempted to prevent this but then relented after the shit storm of criticism that followed.
Naturally it was all blamed on a manager who failed to consult her (she supposedly loved it).
Frankly that is probably bullshit but there is no way to prove otherwise.
Did Lady GaGa get permission from Madonna to parody her?
Thoroughly entertaining...love the lyrics.
That's Weird Al? At first glance I thought it was Camilla Parker-Bowles.
