"Scott Lemieux's Spencer Ackerman moment."

Actually, I think this is unfair, but I'm not going say why or distinguish Scott Lemieux from Spencer Ackerman, because I swore off linking to Lawyers, Guns and Money when they deleted all Meade's comments. I'm not going to interact with people who have deliberately and finally cut of my channels of interaction with them.

Restore everything and apologize and I will.

Um, should I know who either of these people are?

Paco...I think this may be about that WNBA (Why Not to Bash Althouse).

LG&M is nothing but the repository of smug, snotty, too-clever-by-half leftist egocentric academics--as is, in the main, the crowd who regularly comments there. If one ever wanted a prime example of "Group-think" one could do far worse than peruse the archives and comments sections for, oh, say, as long as the blog has been in existence. Crooked Timber, Part II.

Screw em.

The fact that they deleted Meade only shows that they aren't interested in an honest discussion.

Zero integrity.

But I'd like to thank them for the disqual. Saves me time.

The libtard thinks the wanna-be abortion shooter is > or = to the 9-11 terrorists.

*yawn*

'Actually, I think this is unfair ...' Ann, elaborate? Is it the comparison to Ackerman or that we might concede Lemieux's point? I'm with Virgil Xenophen below, although smug is too kind. What's the word for stupidity and evil rolled into one? I like "demonology" but that still sounds too clever. "Malignant mendacity"? Too bulky and imprecise. Well, let's play pin the adjective on the blogger.

what, Meade can't stand up for himself? He has to have a girl fight for him?

They need us more than we need them. Adios, muchachos. By the way, the names Lemieux and Ackerman sound like a couple of metro-sexual feline cartoon characters writing from their mother's basement. You get a carbon credit for reducing their carbon footprint.

You and Mead make a good team. Keep up the good work.

If you're an abortion doctor you would be a LOT more worried about the whack jobs that follow Operation Rescue than islamic terrorists.

Likewise, if you're an unborn baby, you'd worry a lot more about abortion doctors than Islamic terrorists.

And the last time I tried to make a comment at LGM myself, it didn't go up, so I believe that I too am banned.

"what, Meade can't stand up for himself? He has to have a girl fight for him?"

He can't post at LGM, that's for sure. But I don't think I can either. I sure as hell won't link to them. I'm not fighting for Meade here. I'm just stating my policy.

"Ann, elaborate? Is it the comparison to Ackerman or that we might concede Lemieux's point?"

Sorry, you got the link, but I won't give the explanation, because I'm trying to punish LGM. You'll have to be satisfied by the link and the fact that I am not stating the criticism of what you said.

I see I got myself into a paradox.

And ya don't mess around with Ji-... Meadhouse

PS What Paco said. My absolute first reaction

Thanks for the link. And that you're up for punishing LGM makes it all the more gratifying!! LOL!

I can condemn both terrorist types, Operation Rescue terrorists, and Islamic. For some reason most conservatives can't.

I love it when bloggers

And sadly I'm so misinformed and out of the loop that my first reaction was

Who's Scott Lemieux...and who's Spencer Ackerman

I promised to try harder and be "in the know" in the future.

But are you dumb enough to equate them?

But are you dumb enough to equate them?

Both terrorists, why not?

Wasn't Scott Lemieux the first gay hockey player to come out of the closet?

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Fen said...

Garage, define terrorism.

'Fatuous malevolence'. Not bad ... I might try that one out, LOL!

They insulted Annie's daddy, so they must be bad people.

Fen said...

No ethan. They're dishonest. The get into a debate with Meade, get their ass kicked, then delete all his remarks and claim he was banned for something he didn't do.

Fen said...

Hey Ann, delete Ethan then claim he was banned for linking to kiddie porn.

Why are you linking to child pornography, ethan? You're pathetic.

Pastafarian said...

They banned me too, when I pointed out the obvious antisemitism of many of their commenters (and this Kitty LeMew character.) They cloak it in Helen Thomas-style anti-zionism (a thin cloak indeed.)

I'd only submitted comments for a few weeks; I'd never heard of this LG&M blog until I read about it here at Althouse. I suspect they'll just fade into Bolivia, as Mike Tyson would say.

I looked back through the Google cache at some of Meade's comments, and I can understand why they not only banned him, but deleted his comments. He made them look foolish, and he did it with a brutal efficiency -- he won and killed one thread with a single two-word comment. Before I was banned, I went back to that thread and restored it, as best I could, attributing it to the disappeared Meade.

It's weird how all of you stay so hard for Annie when she has never voted for a Republican or whatever.

Cognitive dissonance.
