What are the top 3 emotions you're feeling in this protest?

Meade shot this on March 1st. I edited.

What emotions propel people into protest? Do they get them stoked or satisfied? I wonder. I like this clip for 2 reasons: 1. the student is so nice, and 2. the respondents (Walker supporters) aren't too ready to speak in terms of emotion. The first answer given is "respect" and the second is "pride." Only the third — "sadness" — is really an emotion. I've observed over the years that a lot of people don't like to think about their political ideas as emotionally motivated.

I am not sure why pride is not an emotion. I've seen people so "bursting with pride" they're practically setting the grass on fire. Oftentimes it seems to me it's a stronger fiercer emotion than mere sadness.

I'm wondering why the student wasn't recording, and then later transcribing. Is there a study that people are less likely to talk about emotions if it's being recorded vs. being written down? Surely a sociologist has studies this.

I don't know how anyone can have a clear thought with all that cacophony going on in the background. You and Meade really did do above and beyond with your repeated visits putting you in the middle of such unrelenting noise.
The young lady doing the interviewing did a good job seeming non judgmental.

The guy she was talking to said , " we don't need to be bankrupt". That is a big emotion for a Guardian type personality who see the structure of financial life as a protection not to be thrown away for selfish reasons. Walker is a Guardian type personality and he has many who understand that emotion.

The emotion that is foreign to all the protesters is shame.

I'd hate to be the Psych or Sociology Professor who will have to read this graduate thesis.

I'm not sure she's doing acceptable interviewing technique, with multiple people chiming in.

I won't even discuss the utility of "free form" answers.

Professor, she may call you back with a more formalized surver instrument.

I'd think the top emotion would be hunger.

There are three emotions? All I ever feel is confusion...I think.

Talked to a leftard lately? Their ideology is nothing but rooted in emotions. Unrepentant, fanatical, unchecked emotions.
