Posing for Democracy... Crying for Liberty....
"It's About Freedom!"
"Now Settle Down, Kitty!"
Inside the rotunda, this afternoon.
All this fisheye comes to you from the inimitable New Media Meade, AKA Meade the Press.

That "settle down kitty' sign is well-drawn. I'll give them that.
How appropriate. Miss Liberty in green wiping the halo off of her nostril.
Photos look like a Meadia circus.
that sign was genuinely funny. I disagree with their argument, but really congratulate the artist/protester for doing something with humor.
Is it too cold for papier mache or something? Is it unfashionable now? I really miss the big puppets. Are they only on display at ANSWER events?
You were expecting Shakespeare?
Looks pretty much like a one horse town.
And, there are no other routines.
It must be spring break, though, for the "crowd" at the mall ... (oh, excuse me, the totunda), to be so small.
If these people were sitting in traffic, instead, thinking they'd stop traffic, they'd be road kill.
You most, most people have never seen union halls. So, you might ask, "who went to union halls?" Thugs. To smoke. So their wives could clear them out of the house during the day.
Today? There's divorce.
Ann, you and Meade deserve Pulitzers for this coverage. Certainly, nobody ELSE seems to be covering it.

Double Ditto that!
I'd be more sympathetic if they weren't blowing this out of proportion.
Liberty ~= collective bargaining.
The snowman are symbolic of these protesters.
After a few more sunny days they too will be forgotten. And all that will be left is the trash to pick up.
Let me add to the kudos for the althouse/meade team
well done
Bravo Zulu
I liked the sign that had Walker's Bill as a trojan horse. Good imagery to display a point I strongly agree with.
The pile of crap guy was sort of an ass. Everyone else was nice!
The terrorism of the bien pensants who dominate Madison and every other cap and gown ghetto in America insures there are no pro-Walker signs. After all, who wants to be an unperson in a one party compound?
Collective bargaining is not a "right". It's all about power.
It's not about freedom. Freedom would let individuals who want to teach choose whether or not to support the Democrat party through he mandatory payment of dues.
That lady wants "Freedom" for the unions to impose dues.
Jane - it's the same old Soviet deal of redefining what the truth is. 2+2=5 because WE say so.
Soon a new show- Meade the Press!!!!
Are the chicks hot? More close ups, please. Privacy be damned.
In democrat speak, freedom = special treatment for democrats, the rest be damned.
Are the chicks hot?
Let's see. Wisconsin "Socialists."
I'm betting no on this one.
Love the one in a T-shirt with snow still on the ground. Great endorsement of Lefty intellect.

Considering how the Left has just covered themselves in glory the last month or so, the Establishment Media must be praying for Charlie Sheen to start dating Sarah Palin.
Soon a new show- Meade the Press!!!!
Genius. That is all.
I like the hat on the lady in the bottom image.
That's my "now settle down, kitty" sign. Thanks for covering what have been peaceful, creative protests at a time when the common good is so often upstaged by sound bites and cynicism. Much appreciated.
Carl,
Madison
So Freedom and Liberty is now about getting more money out of your neighbor's pocket?
Any actual teachers? Or are they all student "intellectuals" and rent-a-thugs?
"Posing for Democracy...Crying for Liberty..."
Allow me to insert this phrase into the translator.....
"Propping up Unions...complaining because we lost the election..."
/fixed.
Don't let Gail Zappa see the weasel sign, as that is a blatant rip off of Franks' "Weasels Ripped My Flesh Off" cover art.
She may support the union, but she is very Yoko when it comes to protecting her man brand and collecting her cash.
