Help me generate a list of smart, articulate Palin supporters who would do well in a Bloggingheads-type diavlog with a Palin-hater.
We were talking about the fact that Bloggingheads, despite endless talk about Sarah Palin, never has anyone on who actually supports her. But who could they have? It needs to be someone who would actually do it. You have to put up with and respond to whatever the other person throws at you in an unedited hour of telephone conversation. The pay is $0. Help me generate some names.

Talk radio guy John Ziegler.
Andrew Breitbart immediately comes to mind. But Blogging heads might be beneath him.
Also that reporter guy who has become like a weird stalker guy to her.
Heh, you could always ask Rush, you have nothing to lose by inviting him. All he can say is no.
Well, there's me. Oh no, wait, I'm not really a Sarah Palin supporter. In fact, I don't know that much about her at all. I just hate all the people who hate her.
I also wonder how many just out and out conservatives or libertarians does blogging heads have on? I always get the impression its an argument between the Left and the Crazy Insane "communism will work this time if we do it right" Left.
Not sure "smart and articulate" is a necessary qualification for BHTV. "Whiny and rolls eyes a lot" seems to work for most.
Todd Palin.
I think Greg Gutfeld would be fun to watch and effective.
There are no Sarah Palin supporters. Just frothing lunatics who hate her, and people who find unreasoning hate to be gross.
I always get the impression its an argument between the Left and the Crazy Insane "communism will work this time if we do it right" Left.
That's not quite right.
It's communism will work this time if I get to be Stalin. I'll be the benign Stalin.
I'd like to be Sarah Palin's athletic supporter, if girls actually have that sort of appliance.
How about Sarah Palin herself?
The pay is $0.
Well that lets me out.
Dan Mclaughlin of Baseball Crank and Redstate. He's not necessarily pro-Palin within the context of Republican politics, but he has the facts to steamroll the typical anti-Palin weasel head.
Here's an example:
Sarah Palin and the Scum of the Earth
LOL....
good luck.
Punk rock musician Ben Weasel has been doing podcasts that discuss Sarah Palin fairly often the past few months, and he mostly defends her. (He also mentions Althouse in a few of the podcasts, but I can't remember which ones. I think Althouse has influenced him on Palin.)
@Robert. The guy's name is Weasel? I hereby retract my weaselhead reference above.
Michelle Malkin.
I don't know if she'd do it or not, but she's sharp as a tack.
Insta?
Don't know if he's an all-out supporter, but he seems to like her moxie.
Richard Grant, economist and columnist for The Tennessean
It has to be Pamela Geller. Ardent Palin supporter, blogger, conservative. Writes at Big Government. She would be an effective and interesting advocate.
Kevin DuJan
Jim Treacher
Palladian.
traditionalguy
It has to be Pamela Geller. Ardent Palin supporter, blogger, conservative. Writes at Big Government. She would be an effective and interesting advocate.
Seconded.
Geller is almost as pretty as Palin, too.
Unfortunately (and I say this as kindly as possible), Geller needs a date. She's getting so stressed out over fighting with the Jihadis that it is consuming her existence.
She needs to spend some time doing something else.
Dan Quayle.
Irene.
chickelit.
Crack Emcee.
amba.
Ruth Anne Adams.
Perhaps Nicole Coulter. She writes reasoned apologetics for Palin on the C4P website.
Helen Smith.
Neo-Neocon.
Jedediah Bila. A very smart, articulate, beautiful woman. Writes at Human Events and is an ardent Sarah Palin supporter.
Meade said: "Palladian. traditionalguy"
I'm not sure if Palladian is really that big of a Palin supporter. There's probably a pretty big intersection of political beliefs there, but the overlap might not be big enough to call him a supporter. He could probably do a good job, as a debating point. tradguy might be good too; but how will these commenters do on camera?
I know you're half-kidding, but you might find someone here who could actually do a very good job.
But I still think you should invite a pro, like Michelle Malkin.
Dennis Prager. He's one of the most calm, pragmatic talk show hosts and he thinks highly of Palin.
Mike Hendrix @ Cold Fury.
S.E. Cupp
Bill Quick @ Daily Pundit.
Bill Whittle @ PJM.
Michelle Malkin.
I'd pay money to see those folks go to town on the anti-Palin clowns.
Malkin is making a ton of money, and she's got already got a forum on Fox News, not to mention her very powerful blog.
Don't think she'd be interested.
Second on Helen Smith. She's got the chops and the psych background for current context.
Someone serious, like Michelle Malkin.
Someone serious, like Michelle Malkin.
Malkin is a might serious intellect, garage.
She's mighty tough, too. She's stood up to an even more horrendous onslaught of slander, racist shitheads and stupid goons than Palin.
You just don't understand the self-deprecating Filipino sense of humor. It's quite characteristic of Filipinos to laugh and themselves, and to engage in this sort of demonstrative play acting. Filipinos love it.
I really admire Malkin. This tiny woman is tough as you can get. The threats and slander must be terrifying. She remains a humorous and good natured goof in the face of it. That's pretty essential, if you hail from a culture in which political violence is endemic as the Philippines.
That's the best you can do against Malkin, garage?
What? You don't think she looks as good as you do in that skirt?
Most would find that video a little more embarrassing to Harry Reid, and your side of the aisle, because of what it shows they actually spat out of their idiot-holes.
Flattered, Meade, but I'll stick to the knitting for now.
:-(
Jeff Goldstein.
There. That was easy.
shouting -- you're probably right, she wouldn't be interested.
But it wouldn't hurt to ask.
Anyone at iowntheworld. Snarkandboobs especially.
Though he feels the same way as Ann Althouse - he doesnlt support her for President, but will defend her against the irrational hate -the one person who never loses a debate:
Michael Medved. Seriously. The guy lives to debate and though there are hundreds of recording of him on the internet in debates, there are Zero of him ever losing. There are hatred pages about him, but he never loses. The guy even bested Dershowitz once (they are good friends, however).
It would finish off most Diavlogs
But Blogginheads will never have Medved because he would put an end to most Palin bashing. And they can't have that, can they?
Did someone already say Dennis Miller? He would make Michelle Goldberg cry in a heart beat.
I second the suggestion of Dennis Prager.
Also, consider a lot of the folks over on PJTV.com. They might be up for it.
Its actually difficult to come up with a list because many conservative bloggers aren't really Pro-Palin per se, but anti-liberal and anti-media.
But here's a few:
-R.S. McCain
-Malkin
-Ann Coulter (good luck with that)
-Pretty much any conservative talk show person
-Doug Brady - Conservatives4Palin
-Pat Buchanan
-Brent Bozell - Media Research Center
-Dan Reihl
-Steve Gilbert (Sweetness and Light)
-Tom Piatak (Chronicles)
I'd love to see James Bowman, Charles Murray, Protein Wisdom, Vox Popoli, or Iowahawk, but I'm not sure if any of them are really pro-Palin.
Bill freakin' Whittle.
PJTV Trifecta co-host and founder of Declaration Entertainment. Search for Firewall on YouTube if you don't know who he is.
Though he feels the same way as Ann Althouse - he doesnlt support her for President, but will defend her against the irrational hate -the one person who never loses a debate:
You didn't finish that with "Ace of Spades"... but you should have.
Ruth Anne Adams
Ruth Anne would destroy the opposition not just with her smartness but her perfect decorum, too. Same for Darcy.
I'd suggest that Palin is perfectly capable of defending herself and articulating her own position.
Every time she speaks, she destroys her opposition.
Let her continue to do so. She doesn't need any help.
Sissy Willis
vbspurs
John Ziegler
Or Althouse in a pinch (but not the Titian kind :)
If Bill Whittle is a Palin supporter, and I don't know that he is, he would be excellent.
I say let these people rant, they are easy enough to ignore without giving them the mask of legitimate debate.
a list of smart, articulate
Bloggingheads already set the bar at ground level when they allowed slackjaws like Ana Marie Cox and Michelle Goldberg into the room, qualifications-wise... so acting as if finding someone really, really good at this sort of thing now does seem rather like an attempt at gilding the proverbial lilly.
Just sayin', is all.
Crack Emcee: Default blogginghead, all subjects.
Dr. Helen: Addressing Palin Derangement Syndrome (an .edu derangement) may require a forensic psychologist.
I agree with almost ALL of the picks--they're all very good. But did I miss Ann Coulter in there? And she wouldn't hesitate to do it either. She seems to subscribe to the Hunter S. Thompson "You've got to be willing to challenge the bastards on their own turf" school of thought..And Laura Ingram and Tammi Bruce as well..
Here's an off the wall thought:
Andrew Sullivan, playing a contrarian devil's advocate. If he did a decent job, he could restore some of his lost credibility in one fell swoop. I don't think it will happen though. I think it's more important to nurture his andian flock.
But did I miss Ann Coulter in there?
Yes, Ann Coulter too.
Really they should just make BHTV the Crack Emcee Show.
That's the best you can do against Malkin, garage?
In a sentient world that should be enough. But as you know, we don't live in that world.
O/T: Watch MSNBC’s Donny Deutsch connect the Tucson shootings with the “fact” that Arizona doesn’t recognize Martin Luther King Day, celebrated today [...]
MSNBC: the only (*giggle*) "news channel" regularly thumped in the ratings by junior high school productions of Godspell and ham radio broadcasts.
Truth in "a sentient world." Just for garage.
If you don't mind a lot of swearing, spitting and threats of violence, I'll do it.
In a sentient world that should be enough. But as you know, we don't live in that world.
No, garage... Fortunately, we live in a world in which a little Filipino girl with a lovely sense of humor and a desire to have some fun can leave a plodding fool like you in the dust.
Choke on it.
Diversity sucks when you're on the losing end of it, doesn't it?
I want a BHTV with Crack and AllenS talking about how farked up the world is.
I would definitely watch that.
You could throw in:
-Mark Steyn
-Lopez from NRO
-Laura Ingraham
-Rush
-Beck
-Hannity
-Hewitt is a question mark, he supports Romney big time.
@Beta Rube
Greg Gutfeld
Fish, barrel, shoot (can I say that now?).
It could be interesting to watch the left try the misogyny ploy on Geller.
However Gutfeld and Geller probably have contract restrictions...however there are plenty of free lance bloggers, three come to mind: Stacy McCain, Ace, or Emperor Misha.
@Freeman
Heck, I'd pay to watch that.
Some of these suggestions are people who would never do BHTV. Never.
BJM, good point. Same here.
Thomas - You can have Michelle "Lady of internment Camps" Malkin. She's all yours buddy.
I could never do anything like a Bloggingheads. I'm terribly shy, actually. But thanks, Rick! :)
First person I thought of was Freeman Hunt. But I agree with the whole list so far.
Tammy Bruce!
@ Maguro 10:12.
Except for that cute blonde law prof.
Whatzername?
The one who had the black tank top/ bra strap slipping off her shoulder all during one of her chats a couple years ago.
wv crumster
Addams family baby
Greta Van Susteren
She probably wouldn't do a BHTV but I believe that Greta is an admirer of Palin and has prominently featured her on her show.
Clarice Feldman. or commenter bgates or hit and run at Maguire's place
I'd put in a good word for Sissy Willis, too. And for Jennifer at Cubachi.
...and either of them is likely to be able and willing to do it (unlike some of the other recommendations). Just ask 'em.
For a guy though, try Dan Riehl (Riehl World View ...and Sissy & Jennifer co-blog with him there btw).
Thomas - You can have Michelle "Lady of internment Camps" Malkin. She's all yours buddy.
I guarantee that you haven't actually read her words on that issue.
You are so full of shit.
I'll second, Clarice Feldman.
A few more:
Gerard Van der Leun
Jeff Goldstein or contributor Darleen Click
Aaron Worthing (Patterico contributor)
Oh damn: Darleen (at Protein Wisdom). I wasn't thinking of her, and really should have.
Great suggestion BJM.
Just thought of another strong woman;
Juliette Ochieng
Clarice Feldman at The American Thinker
I guarantee that you haven't actually read her words on that issue.
I have not read the book, nor would I. But is there something that is misunderstood in her book "In Defense of Internment" in your opinion?
Second vote for Ben Weasel!
Very articulate, smart, and an Althouse fan.
@Henry: Weasel is his punk rock name, as he's the lead singer of punk band Screeching Weasel
bgates is one of the sharpest and the funniest commenters I've seen anywhere.
How much of BHTV is planned ahead?
This really requires someone outside the edu-credentialed class. Because even among Palin's edu-supporters, few if any support her for president. Which is the built in contradiction, the elitist position.
Meanwhile, .edu got their dream president, and an unparalleled disaster for the rest of the country.
I have not read the book, nor would I. But is there something that is misunderstood in her book "In Defense of Internment" in your opinion?
How can you "misunderstand" something you haven't read, garage?
Since you haven't read it, and don't even know what the argument might be, perhaps you should shut up.
And, no, I don't buy your implied argument, which is the standard liberal bullshit. Let me state it for you, since your not even smart enough to do it yourself.
Once accused of bigotry, tainted forever.
This tactic ain't working so good any more, garage. Apparently, you haven't noticed.
The hole keeps getting bigger, garage. Stop digging.
So, garage, since you've stopped to the standard leftist defamation tactic, I'll use the same tactics on you.
Makes you eat your guts out, doesn't it? Little brown Third World girl leaving you in the dust?
Racist.
Clarice Feldman. or commenter bgates or hit and run at Maguire's place
I third this. Hit and Run and bgates should have a comedy show.
Is it weird that bloggingheads seems so unimaginative on conservative bloggers in general?
This tactic ain't working so good any more, garage. Apparently, you haven't noticed.
What tactic? I'm pointing out she wrote a book defending internment camps. I didn't write it.
Anyone who can coherently form the two words "Bite Me!".
Also the sharp-witted gal who used to blog as "Moxie" over at moxie.munu who only does blog-talk these days. Or Kate @ "smalldeadanimals.com"
What tactic? I'm pointing out she wrote a book defending internment camps.
Oh my. She defended FDR?
Oh my. She defended FDR?
Oh, you're good. ;)
Garage,
Thats a silly quip about Malkin and the camps. She is entitled to her opinion, which is generally shared by most Filipinos. If you have a beef with her, you have a beef with most of us.
Whatever the US did with respect to the Japanese in camps, it was insignificant compared to what was going on around the world in those terrible times. That the US overreacted is a forgivable fault under the circumstances.
This is what real camps were like -
http://www.pacificwrecks.com/provinces/philippines_capas.html
My uncle survived the "Death March" but died at Capas from starvation and disease, along with about half the survivors of the Philippine Army. Multiply that atrocity by 20 to take into account the multitude of other murders and massacres perpetrated by the Japanese in the Philippines, and you will get some idea of why to most Filipinos the Japanese internment seems a trivial hardship.
Whats funny is that the education system in the US makes so much of the Japanese internment, and absolutely nothing of WWII in the Philippines, so significant to the background of friends, allies, and the ancestors of millions of Americans. What strange logic is at work here ?
William A. Jacobson, at Legal Insurrection?
Why would anyone want to reason with a Palin hater?
Its as pointless as getting into a debate with Jared Loughner or Eric Fulller.
Its as pointless as getting into a debate with Jared Loughner or Eric Fulller.
Please extend just a bit more respect to The McLaughlin Group's two rookie panelists.
The McLoughner Group?
The McLoughner Group?

Kent;
Deutsch, Sharpton claim Arizona “has seceded” for not recognizing MLK Day
Please, please, please tell me someone, anyone (I'll even take stat boy) corrected Mr. Deutsch's ignorance.
As long as there's no Eleanor Clift, I'm good.
Maybe one of these two folks would do it.
Jane of YoutooCongress.com. She's an active Tea Partier and a lawyer, and has done regular Boston radio debates with a lefty.

You're a little slow on the link ups today SuperHero. Nothing from Gateway Pundit today, following up on that awesome expose of the Jumbotron applause line at Tuscon memorial, er, I mean the closed captioning for the deaf or hearing impaired at the Tuscon memorial? That was some epic journalbalism.
The key to an argument with a Palin hater, or with a Palin half-supporter, is to highlight Palin's political smarts. Just list all she has been right about. You will be told that her ghost writer ( probably a descendant of Bill Shakespeares' ghost writer) just got lucky, and Sarah can only scribble on cave walls. And you will still incur the the "She's in it for the money " accusation because that cannot be disproved except in hindsight. IMO the real issue is whether the generation now seeking leadership roles will be leaders who set and meet goals in the real world or leaders who further the seductive offer of the Obama/Soros Cabal that young people are entitled to all things because they show up. Palin gives us a clear choice. For better or worse she tells us what we face. The RINO leaders who really do love money couldn't care less if that issue is ever faced or not.
SuperHero [SNIP]
Picking up where Ritmo's failed tactic yesterday left off, Pat Buchanan Boy? Best of luck with that.
*snicker*
(No coherent response to the actual link provided, incidentally? Quelle shock!)
Coulter would do it just for the fight, but Malkin would be the more motivated pick.

General Homma was executed for the Death March and Yamashita for many atrocities during the Japanese defense of the Philippines, but many of the smaller fry were let go, unlike what happened in Europe.
Of course, if it hadn't been for MacArthur, it's doubtful even these two would have died.
The internment camps were created at the behest of US 4th Army commander John DeWitt and CA Attorney General Earl Warren, although they were also used to weed out Japanese infiltrators, part of a secret sociey melodramatically known as the Black Dragon (since morphed into the Yakuza), who were trying to establish sabotage rings in the Western Hemisphere and were particularly active in Brazil.
PS Black Dragon members were responsible for many of the labor camps in Manchuria and germ warfare experiments in China. Most were never tried for war crimes.
Whats funny is that the education system in the US makes so much of the Japanese internment, and absolutely nothing of WWII in the Philippines, so significant to the background of friends, allies, and the ancestors of millions of Americans. What strange logic is at work here?
It's caled white liberal guilt, a mode of historical thought in which only the sins of the west in general and the USA in particular are worth discussing. If you want liberals to care about the Phillipines, start complaining about crimes committed by American GIs from Clark and Subic Bay. They'll be all over it.
Picking up where [SNIP!]
It's okay Might Mouse. I wouldn't want to be dissecting that Gateway Pundit blog post either.
"Oh really?"
Then why was it printed on the Jumbotron?"
Yea! Why????
LOLOL
I'll fourth that, Freeman.
Bob intensely dislikes Coulter and will not allow her to appear till she apologizes for her terrible remarks, e.g., 'towel head.'
It would be easiest to ask someone who has already appeared. I don't know his stance on Palin, but if he's a fan, Hugh Hewitt had a pleasant conversation with Bob a while back.
Bob and Hewitt
Palin was a self made woman who fought corruption. Obama was created by others as a tool. He took money from a felon for an unbuildable lot.
Leave Eleanor Clift out of this.

Actually, they're more typically arranged in packs of six.
Still no response to [SNIP]
Sorry man I can't click on your links. Not without scrubs and/or hazmat suits followed by a full and proper fumigation.
The fact of how little sabotage by Japanese groups shows that internment worked. More civilians were killed by Japanese in Battle of Manila and in Nanjing than in Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
Sorry man
Sniveling cowardice noted.
BWAAAAAAAHHHHHHH -- !!!
Garbage Mahal, are you afraid that your little mind would blow up if exposed to truth?
I thought about your prompt between my desk and the coffee maker and back, and I really can't think of any "Palin supporters." There's plenty of Palin defenders, compelled to speak on her behalf because of the lunacy or inconsistency among her opponents. But to find an actual supporter you would have to look beyond the media-intelligentsia complex. Allow me to wax dopey for a moment: Her supporters are people without megaphones. They're common people with common jobs who feel neglected in the current political climate, where only people with big bucks, friends in high places, or high influence are heard. They're people pissed off that they lost their job while the teachers' unions got bail outs. You won't find her supporters because you've probably never heard of them.
Garbage Mahal, member ib good standing of Know Nothing Party and proud of it
Garbage Mahal, are you afraid that your little mind would blow up if exposed to truth?
The bunny, 'twould appear, has fled.
Ah, well. A sweet little something, then, just in case he should happen to poke his pink little nose back in here again:
Jared Loughner: Bush Hater
EXCERPT: "He became intrigued by antigovernment conspiracy theories, including that the Sept. 11 attacks were perpetrated by the government and that the country’s central banking system was enslaving its citizens. His anger would well up at the sight of President George W. Bush, or in discussing what he considered to be the nefarious designs of government."
Oh. MY.

Exactly. Much of the 442nd Infantry came out of the internment camps, so they did a good job separating the sheep from the goats.
It is probable that the Japanese directly killed more civilians in the Philippines alone, mostly with rifles and bayonets, than the US killed Japanese civilians with bombs of all kinds.
And the Philippine losses are minor compared to what happened elsewhere in East Asia, especially in China. Nanking was just one incident, well known only because it was visible to foreign observers. The scale of hardship and destruction, and the sheer personal cruelty that drove most of it, is difficult to comprehend today, and astounded both the victims and neutral observers at the time. Japanese ferocity was a terrific shock. It was 9/11 ten thousand times over.
The obsession with the Japanese internment obscures the truth and makes it difficult to obtain the proper context with which to derive any sort of reasonable historical lesson, if thats the point of harping on it.
BTW, across East Asia Japanese residents uniformly joined the Japanese army after their conquests and aided the occupation. Many proved to have been intelligence agents. This was certainly true in the Philippines. See the case of the Japanese community in Davao for one. This is one reason why the extensive communities of Japanese immigrants across East Asia chose to flee with their armies in 1945. Many suffered at the hands of their former victims.
In 1942 there were excellent reasons to believe that Japanese immigrants to the US would behave much like Japanese immigrants to the Philippines (or China, Malaya, Indonesia...). This proved to be incorrect, but all wars are a series of mistakes. In the big picture this was a very small error.
Malkins book is in the absolute mainstream of Asian attitudes, and probably far more charitable towards the Japanese than most. It is telling that her opinions are held against her in the US. It seems like an amazingly parochial response from what are supposed to be sophisticated persons.
I'll do it. I just say: " I like Sarah Palin." The hater will then proceed to lose the argument all by themselves. It's been happening for 2 years now.
The bunny, 'twould appear, has fled.
With all this highly stimulative conversation in defense of internment camps and such. Call me crazy.
With all this highly stimulative conversation in defense of internment camps and such.

Do you see many liberals defending internment camps brainiac?
And I see your last dribbling, that Loughner was a anti-government kook with conspiracy theories about one world currency was......liberal? An own goal, as they say.
Do you see [SNIP]
I see someone so painfully (and publicly) incapable of reading even for simple baseline comprehension, he sees a poster about Loughner being an avowed 9/11 "Truther" and a rabid anti-Bush fanatic as (somehow) being equivalent to "an own goal."
Pfah. "Weakest. Troll. EVER."
Go back to scampering frantically away from each and every successive online curb-stomping, li'l bunny. It's far, far safer for you that way.
ROTFLMAO!!!
Garage,
Aren't Filipinos entitled to human feelings ? Are we not entitled to memories ? We do have our graves, memorials and stories, of which every family has a dozen.
Or are only certain people you approve of entitled to remember ?
Or are nearly all Filipinos and Fil-Americans barred from any political participation ?
Yea that was another fascinating link Mighty Mouse. Anti-government kook shoots Democrat, instead of Republican, or Republican President. Shocking, huh?
This proved to be incorrect
Perhaps because we didn't give them the chance to make trouble.
Yea [sic] that was [SNIP]
Failed evasion noted.
In all pained honesty, kiddo: you're not even worth the mingy, minimalist effort of another "ROTFLMAO."
Come up with an actual argument -- or, in this case, counter-argument -- sometime, for sheer, sweet novelty's sake. Prove you're tall enough to ride this ride, if at all possible.
I'll give you the courtesy of yet another free swing, at that point... If and When.
Come up with an actual argument -- or, in this case, counter-argument -- sometime, for sheer, sweet novelty's sake. Prove you're tall enough to ride this ride, if at all possible.
No idea what your argument even is. A link is not an argument. That this guy hated Bush? That was pretty universal. The science is in on that. So what exactly is your argument? Or did you want to examine his anti-government and one world order currency conspiracy theories? What?
Or did you want
I "want" nothing whatsoever from you, thanks awfully. If I ever do: I'll let you know, point blank.
If you want something from me, on the other hand -- like, say, an actual online discussion, as opposed to my otherwise simply dully noting your successive evasions, each and every time you find yourself mired for a coherent rebuttal -- then knock it off with the simpering, passive-aggressive Justin Beiber message board crap about avatars and what not, and show me you're worth the investment of my time and my effort.
Makes no difference to me whether you're up to it or not, really. Lots of other, smarter people here to talk to, after all.
You (and the other trolls hereabouts) start out at a substantial deficit with me, garage. No one says you have to like it, and no law says I have to give two shits. Things are just the way they are, and that's all there is to that.
Take it or leave it. Scene. Curtain.
Tammy Bruce, Mary-Katharine Hamm, Erick Erickson, or John Hawkins

"Leaving it," then. [::nods::] Your call.
Enjoy your evening.
That this guy [Loughner] hated Bush? That was pretty universal.
Wrong. Bush's approval is about the same as Obama's. Face it Loughner is one of yours. Own it.
I don't think Ace or Neoneocon want to go public. I can just see Neo trying to debate holding that apple in front of her face.
John Zeigler has made a 2nd career out of defending Palin, and he's photogenic. I could see him or Brietbart doing it just to take the hater down, even if they don't need the $$ or have the time.
I think Gutfeld is too busy with his own show to make the time to do it. Either MK Hamm or SE Cupp would be excellent and probably willing.
Pamela Geller has enough noteriaty from her own causes, I don't think she would do Palin any good. She is a figure of ridicule to many on the left. None of these other names are seen that way. They may be hated but they aren't laughed at, and Geller is.
I don't think Ace or Neoneocon want to go public.
I saw Ace commenting on FOX, once. Face fully exposed, and everything. Seriously.
I remember thinking: "... my God... he actually sort of looks like George Lucas." (Which doubtless explains the non-stop barrage of Ewok jokes!)
Ace of Spades, on FOX News.
Reihan Salam. He's been on Blogging Heads many times and can certainly hold his own against any Palin basher he's put up against. He might not be an unqualified Palin supporter, but he could no doubt give her the defense that she deserves.
Watch as he spars with Andrew Sullivan on the Chris Matthews show.
I'll do it in a wig, lipstick, and a dress.
But only in a wig, lipstick, and a dress.
Palin 2012!
Reihan's great...who would you have him up against?
Late comment on the Filipino and Japanese in WW II. The Japanese killed 5-10 thousand Filipinos in the Bataan Death March. Probably another 20 thousand died of neglect and starvation in "Camp O'Donnell" in a couple months after the Death March (April to July 1942). Documentation provided at the Tokyo War Crimes Trials showed over 100,000 Filipino civilians directly murdered by the Japanese in 1944/45.
A majority of these did NOT occur in Manila. But the Japanese war crimes in the Philippines - however bad- were peanuts compared to what they did in China, or how they treated the Korean, Indonesian, or Burmese laborers they drafted and killed through malnutrition and neglect.
People have heard about the Bridge on the River Kwai but don't know that probably 10 Indonesians died for every Englishman.
I was under the impression that Malkin's "defense" of internment camps amounted to putting the decision to form them in the context of the times and what people actually knew *at the time* when the decision was made. I don't know if she even went beyond calling the decision a reasonable one which could have gone either way, to calling it the right decision and right action.
I haven't read the book either.
But I do wonder, garage, your refusal to read her actual reasoning... are you afraid of being corrupted against your will?
Why not find out what her argument actually was?
I don't think these have been mentioned but how about one of the HillBuzz guys? Or Debra Heine (NiceDeb)?
Darleen Click (of Protein Wisdom and RightNetwork). Jean Kaufman of RightNetwork. Juliette Ochieng of Baldilocks.
Perhaps Dan Collins (of POWIP and RN).
Me.
Morgan Freeberg,Michelle Malkin,Bill Whittle.

Why would anyone WANT to spend time debating a Palin-hater? It's like mud-wrestling with a pig -- you get dirty, and even if you win, the pig still likes it.
Why not find out what her argument actually was?
Too much like thinking.

If he's half as good speaking as he is at writing...then he'd be amazing.
I don't know a lot of Palin supporters that are BHTV worthy, but I know quite a few Palin DEFENDERS.
