Moving the "Ground Zero mosque" to Greenwich Village.

A cool new idea from King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia.

Makes sense to me!

Sounds fitting. How far away is it and will a minaret be able to see Ground Zero.

Green Village could use a population makeover anyway.

If Saudi Arabia would allow the opening of a cultural center where people of all faiths could come together to worship, exchange ideas, build ties among communities, etc. IN SAUDI ARABIA, then they'd be making real steps toward reconciliation and peace.
Doing it in NYC, probably the most polyglot place on Earth, is a sick joke.

That's a great juxtaposition BTW!

Good on him. Does this mean there will be a Hooters in Riyahd?

Yeah, to west 4th street.

A little farther and he could put it in Long Island Sound.

Clearly King Abdullah is islamophobic.

Dudley Gaffin is one of those creepy Jews who work tirelessly to facilitate the advancement of the Jew haters' agenda...oh, I forgot, the Saudis want what's best for all...how retrograde of me to doubt that.

Why does his (dyed) beard look like a scrotum?

I kinda like it where it was going to be built. Those pinheads who are protesting it get to stop at the strip joint on the way so i can't figure what their beef is.

But you cannot claim victory unless you put it near ground zero. Get with the program.

Yeah, put it on Christopher Street. I'm sure the Mohammedans will get along FABULOUSLY with their neighbors. 'Cause they can get along with anyone!

It will be possible to see the new Freedom Tower at Ground Zero from the St. Vincent's site but not from the far closer original mosque site.

I am virulently opposed to the ground zero site, but it's only the location I object to. If they want to move it to Greenwich Village, well, so be it.

@HDHouse

That comment is beneath even you.

I think we should wait until they've spent a lot of money building it and then seize it through eminent domain and tear it right the fuck down.

Fuck King Abdullah and his prince Barack Obama.

I think they should build another one in Berkley. One in Madison would be nice too.

Why would they do that? They could give a hoot about our "Sacred Parchment of the Founders". Same with notions like Saudi diversity and "tolerance". They have their society and like it. What they have is an intolerant faith and see the West, unlike them, as wide open for proselytization and "Lawfare" - using our dumb laws to aid in gaining power and influence in the West. Because we have such huge weaknesses, why would other nations seeing more successful models out there seek to be like us?

The "American System" isn't looking so good these days. Our courts are an embarassment, we seem to others to have a system of rule that is hopelessly corrupt and bankrupting us. And Elites that are happy and powerful enough to stop the votes of the "little people" on Open Borders and destroying jobs and industries under "Free Trade".
Why would the Saudis wish to infect themselves with elements of degenerate American culture?

A multiculti center, in KSA? Not likely.

So the mosque was always a Saudi plan, eh? As for moving it to Greenwich Village, let's see how the gays, lesbians, trannies, and other folk like it when those who advocate stoning/tossing off building/buried to death for homosexuals are in their midst. Welcome your new neighbor, boys and girls.

I want someone to tell them no more mosques in NY or any place else in the U.S. You all don't have the population. So, let 'em give the money and the space to the Orthodox Church for rebuilding at Ground Zero, and let 'em lobby NYC to give the church permission to rebuild. NYC said "no church; yes mosque."

Hey -- When I can see St. Nicholas at Ground Zero I think building that mosque over in the Village would be fine.

As above -- the diversity there will be a sight to behold. Forget the strip joint!

Okay King Abdullah, let's do a deal. Let us build one - JUST ONE - Christian church anywhere in Saudi Arabia and you folk can build that mosque anywhere you damn well please. How about it? What do you mean, no?!

Castro Street in San Francisco is my dream site for Abdullah's mosque
