The last U.S. President with a mustache was William Howard Taft, 1909-1913. The last serious Presidential candidate with any facial hair was Thomas E. Dewey in 1948. He, of course, lost.
I don't count John Bolton among serious Presidential candidates.
He is much too cranky and angry and convinced of his own rectitude to be a good president. If we were looking for an unpleasant father-figure, maybe...
Maybe the mustache helped the label maker to say that Bolton is a famous "Arch Conservative". That is a new use of the evil sounding prefix "arch". The old prefixes of "ultra" and "hard" set before Super Right Wing must have lost their mo-jo. But how can you call an evil Republican an Arch anything without implying a level of expertise and intelligence? That is a contradictory meme, and we will never see it used on the retarded labeled GOP figures like Reagan, Bush, and Palin. Perhaps the label Cardinal could be attached successfully to a Cardinal Richelieu like figure of a Romney.
"Since I don't smoke, I decided to grow a mustache - it is better for the health. However, I always carried a jewel-studded cigarette case in which, instead of tobacco, were carefully placed several mustaches, Adolphe Menjou style. I offered them politely to my friends: "Mustache? Mustache? Mustache?" Nobody dared to touch them. This was my test regarding the sacred aspect of mustaches"
An eskimo brings his snowmobile in to the local garage because it's not running well. The mechanic takes a look at it and says "It looks like you blew a seal.." to which the eskimo replies.."NO!! That's just frost on my moustache!"
He certainly knows foreign policy, which may become of great concern to us all in the next 2 years. He'd need some good people on the domestic side, though - don't doubt he knows them.

I'm thinking of my dream team now. hmmmm I wonder if Brownie is available in case Sarah declines?
I'm sure he would be a great president though, as long as you kept the nuclear codes away from him.
The rate they're going, the Looney tunes guys could beat the crew in office now (or is that who we have in office now?).
We welcome Bolton to the contest. The more the merrier. We will defeat the GOP in every state, every district. The re-election result of Nov. 2012 is already known. As a personal favor, I am letting you all know now (Dec. 2010). The Obama/Biden will win. The main reasons: The GOP has no vision, no leadership, always over-reach, no principles, no diversity in its leaders, etc. The list is so big that if I were to type it the bits would reach the Moon.

Cuban exiles pay him 60K honorariums for a few years and the guy obligingly trots out and accuses Cuba of an advanced biowar program they will sell to "terrorist evildoers" based on "what a few well-placed exiles told me".
To which everyone did a giant WTF???
Bolton was so abrasive and miserable at his job at the UN that even Cheney wanted the guy gone.
I would put him on a DEmocrat "Dream Ticket" - one they wish the REpublicans to run.
The Palin/Angle ticket with Bolton and his necon cabal ready to take over State.

The 'stach is cool but that 80's haircut has got to go.

Don't mention this to AP - his algore-rithms will be even more incorrect than they already are.

His lack of Community Organizing experience will weigh heavily in my decision.

"You know, except for the mustache, you look a lot like my mother."
"But I don't have a mustache."
"Yes, but my mother does."

I'd vote for him. Real men don't shave their upper lip. The stiffness there can scare the whiners we must share our day with.

He is the walrus, or at least has a mustache that kind of makes him look like one.

Would be great to see him debate Obama actually. He's an intelligent talker.
He is a long shot though.
John Bolton's mustache ponders a presidential run...
