In passages leaked from her forthcoming book America by Heart, Sarah Palin... has taken another cheap shot at First Lady Michelle Obama. That link goes to another HuffPo post by Dunn claiming it was a "cheap shot" for Palin to refer to "people" saying "they've never been proud of America." Back to the new Dunn item:
In a passage on perceptions of racial inequality in the United States, Palin slams President Barack Obama, who, she asserts, "seems to believe" that "America -- at least America as it currently exists -- is a fundamentally unjust and unequal country."That's it?! Palin had the audacity to remind us about Jeremiah Wright's highly racial tirades? She doesn't even call Wright racist! She refers to the statements he made "against... white people." That's an astoundingly tame reference to the outrageously inflammatory sermons by Wright that surfaced during the 2008 campaign and amazingly didn't sink the Obama candidacy. Watch the video at that link. Wright is yelling at the congregation to reject Hillary Clinton because she's white.
And then she goes after Michelle Obama:
Certainly his wife expressed this view when she said during the 2008 campaign that she had never felt proud of her country until her husband started winning elections. In retrospect, I guess this shouldn't surprise us, since both of them spent almost two decades in the pews of the Reverend Jeremiah Wright's church listening to his rants against America and white people.
Shamefully lame, Mr. Dunn. Even as an effort to prop up President Obama, it's lame. Do you think it benefits him for us to go back to Jeremiah Wright?

* Don't you know Geoffrey Dunn is an "[a]ward-winning journalist, filmmaker and historian"? That's what it says at the post. According to his bio:
Dunn has produced and directed more than a dozen award-winning documentary films, including Dollar a Day, 10¢ a Dance: A Historic Portrait of Filipino Farm Workers in America; Miss…or Myth?; and the recently completed Calypso Dreams.Oh, that Geoffrey Dunn. Not to be confused with Griffin Dunne (who was so cool in "After Hours") or the Geoffrey Dunn who was born in 1903 and played the part of Mr. Lunnis in "The Leather Boys."

Stick a fork in him; he's Dunn.
Dunn is only a drone of background music for the Marxist claque. How can we hold such a drone accountable to write a true commentary? In a strange way, Dunn is showing us that the Obama myth makers are a beaten bunch. He is 100% correct to point out Palin as the instrument of that triumph over himself and Obama.
Wright rails against "rich white people who run this country," demonizes white people, calls Jesus a "poor black man" oppressed by "Italians,"
Crazy Colored Man.
Things like this make me wonder: Did the person writing the headline actually read the article? Or are they trying to maximize google search hits?
When Chris Matthews reads that article at the Huffington Post, he'll get a tinkle down his leg.
It would be most interesting to see the results of a DNA analysis on Jeremiah Wright. My reasoned guess is that he is no more than 1/8th black, more likely 1/16th. Compare him to Joakim Noah, who is 1/4 black, and you'll see what I mean. Wright is almost completely Caucasian-looking in comparison.
Peter
Crazy High Yellow Man.
This country will come to rue the day it elected this African Muslim usurper.
SCOTUS Justice Harry A. Blackmun said:`"In order to get beyond racism, we must first take account of race. There is no other way. And in order to treat some persons equally, we must treat them differently.”
That's the other side of the coin of Rev. Wright.
Blackmun was terribly wrong. Favoring one race over another did not get us beyond racism at all, but rather balkanized us.
Now that racism is an industry, one that makes careers in politics, education, and business, it cannot be undone.
One can't help but remark that it seems intentional, not accidental.
"Dollar a Day, 10¢ a Dance?" Sounds sexxxy! Too bad it's not on Netflix.
I've never met a Geoffrey who was not a pompous, self-important prick.
STFU, Ted.
"Racially Charged Article at Huffington Post."
And the sun rises in the East and sets in the West.
So what else is news?
Miss Sarah takes the FCOTUS' words and prior associations and throws them back in their faces. The Gospel According to Robert Rogers with an Alinsky twist. I'll just bet the Puffingtons and KosKidz are outraged.
Yea, yea:
That was "racially-charged" and Willow was being sexist, yada, yada, yada.
There's no such thing as journalism anymore.
People are stupid.
On the other hand Peter, I bet he is pretty hairy. Just sayn'
Shamefully lame, Mr. Dunn
Yes.
The Huffington post is where socialists gather to squeal about their fantasies and silly conspiracy theories.
One of these bozo's saying "racism" is meaningless considering they compare cuts in the growth of welfare spending to genocide.
The left has no credibility.
Doesn't say exactly which awards his little known or little watched docs actually won.
He's coming out with an anti-Palin book. Dream on, guy.
He teaches at Santa Cruz. Sigh.
Yet another example of why all teachers should be replaced by robots.
Dr. Althouse: Not to be confused with Griffin Dunne (who was so cool in "After Hours")...
"After Hours," hell. Snarkily rotting in the back row of a theatre in "An American Werewolf in London."
leftists have never forgiven Palin for not aborting Trig.
Remember people, that despite Obama's attending Rev. Wrong church for 20 years, Althouse held her nose and voted for Da Won.
Griffin Dunne is Dominick Dunne's son.
"The Leather Boys."
You're just trying to draw out Titus, aren't you?
Shortly after the 08 election, Geoffrey Dunn had a bunch of his friends at HuffPo sign-up on the Team Sarah site. Once on there they went around posting a bunch of racist comments, Geoffrey screenshot them, and then wrote an article about rampant racism at Team Sarah. Dunn is a pathetic little man who originally claimed that his anti-Palin book would be out this past spring, but now is not scheduled for publication until this coming spring. My guess is that he has had a hard time keeping his crayons sharpened long enough to scribble more than a page or two at a time.
Althouse got a recognition for this post over at C4P website. That is a great site to keep up with the progress of the Runaway Palin Train headed from Wasilla to Washington.
Are there any journalists that aren't "award winning"?
"America -- at least America as it currently exists -- is a fundamentally unjust and unequal country."
America has a fundamentally unjust and unequal legacy. Has it shed all its unjust and unequal practices?
Who would be in a better position to know? A white girl from Idaho and Alaska, or a black girl from the south side of Chicago?
Further, if I finally take my foot of your neck, does it feel better immediately?
When the white girl is married to a native American/caucasian mix and the black girl is married to a black/caucasian mix I would say it is even in the knowledge stakes.
Nicely done, Ann. Moreover, I think Sarah Palin has just formally launched the final battle on Political Correctness in this country. Everything heretofore has just been a warm up.
If we can't criticize our president and first lady because they happen to be black (or 1/8th black, in Obama's case), then we're no longer a free country.
It's well documented that Marxists use Political Correctness to eradicate free speech. They brand political opponents as hatemongers. It's the old White Guilt trick.
Palin is out to reclaim the Republican Party of Lincoln, the party that ended slavery, founded the NAACP and integrated the schools.
We who oppose Obama (and his wife ... and his former pastor) have nothing to apologize for, because our opposition has nothing to do with the color of his skin. And I think Sarah has shown a willingness to go for the jugular while other white male GOPers would tremble in fear of having the race card played against them.
Sarah blows up the race card like it was a clay pigeon at a shooting range.
Palin is out to reclaim the Republican Party of Lincoln, the party that ended slavery, founded the NAACP and integrated the schools.
Name the Republican founders of the NAACP, and list ten integrated schools that Republicans send their kids to.
the huffpo article was just another excuse for a palin two-minute hatefest in the comments section. every time sarah sneezes she dominates every lib/lefty site. why do they 'care' soooo much ??
