Nice singletrack. Are you riding or walking?

Interesting observation, Ann. I've got a box of taco shells in my pantry. Now if you could sort through them and find the Virgins of Guadalupe I think we could make some money.

Joe said...

(The Crypto Jew)

I'd imagine that you are much more likely to find vergins in your taco shells box, than in Guadalupe...

Here's a placid face to think about.

"Kagan's recusals take her out of action in many of the Supreme Court's cases"

Takes herself out of 25 of 51 Supreme Court cases.

That's not too surprising about Kagan, given how recently she left government.

Could the professor's opposition to men in shorts have led indirectly to this?

Veteran's family denied WH tour because of shorts
The White House apologized Thursday for turning the family of a Medal of Honor recipient away from an exclusive tour last week because the late veteran's 10-year-old grandson was wearing shorts

Idaho Senator Crapo got involved; the family has been invited back for their West Wing tour.

An afternoon nap is permitted. Camping out can be a home of sorts and not another endurance trek. We find that we can really relax far from the city and therefore far from millions of Micowaves carrying digital signals that so easily pass through elevators and their concrete shafts....not to mention many electrical systems firing within my nervous system.

Hazy Dave said...

Did the camera's face recognition box focus on that formation for you?

Thanks for the insight Revenant, not being in law I didn't know if that was desirable or not

RELEASE THE KAGAN!!!!!!!!!!!

Nice to see you come up for air Trooper!

The big news downtown is a 22 year seniority Federal Judge was picked up in a FBI sting for purchase of Cocaine from a stripper. Her was a Reagan appointee. The Dems seem to pick the fairest Judges, much to my disappointment. The law is being remade these days to eliminate any effective compensation to Med Mal and product liability victims. And it is the GOP appointed Judges that are shooting down many good cases with false rulings. That is actually a form of corruption for profit. The victims are being judicially shafted. This arrest must be a Karma event for the damage that these Judges have been doing.

Trooper York said...

Wait a minute. Reagan appointed a stripper?

Now Clinton I would believe but Reagan?

Trooper York said...

I do remember a stripper who was pretty famous during the early years of the Reagan administration (when I might have frequented such establishments) who performed under the name of "The Gripper."

Not the Gipper.

But I thought the knickname refered to the fact that she could pick up her dollar bills without using her hands. If fact I once saw her pick up some quarters off of a table on a bet!

But maybe she was the Gipper.

Jeeez, you learn something new every day!

traditionalguy said...

Trooper she was naive young stripper seeking a full time Bar Tending job who believed the older Judge when he told her that he had total authority over the Federal Bar. I believe her name is Anita Hill.

I think that people who like to cry a lot and especially around other people are the ones who write most pamphlets on grief. Nausea is symptomatic of "unexpressed grief?" Why can't it be an expression of grief? Not everyone likes to go around bawling their eyes out in front of strangers. Publicly emotional people should respect that.

Just got the mailing today, my medicare advantage plan has been canceled!

Congratulations libtards! You mouth-breathing knuckle-dragging morons. You have personally contributed to my early death and my family's exposure to bankruptcy. Way to go idiots!

You stupid motherfuckers are the reason we'll be sleeping with our asses puckered for however long we live! Way to go!

See you in November you stupid, drooling motherfuckers.

@DavidW

did you ever think that your health group read what you write and thought that such utterances were so childish that you could in no way be approaching middle age?

and did it ever occur to you that the wonderful health insurance companies are raising rates and dropping coverage as fast as they can before parts of the plan are implemented? never got that thought into your little noggin' did ya?

This has been going on for months. I guess it is typical of knee-jerk rightwingers to only react to something when it happens to them.

oaf.

..speaking of big rocks........

Dave, that's too bad.

Maybe your plan didn't score very high? Right now all advantage plans cost the taxpayer 9% more than traditional Medicare. Under health care reform, reimbursement was to be based on quality scores. In my area, Kaiser Permenente scored the highest while the AARP plan scored the lowest.

Just heard Lithwick on NPR "quoting" the NYT article on the SC's corporate focus. Yep. She said that of the 50 cases lined up 40 were corporate in nature. The Times, of course, said 40% but will be very happy that this meme has life.

I think that people who like to cry a lot and especially around other people are the ones who write most pamphlets on grief.

The only thing I know about grief is that there are a bazillion ways it can manifest itself, and that people who are grieving should be able to grieve how best they can.

People who cry around me make me uncomfortable. It's very hard to sit and do nothing and listen to the tempest. If I don't know the person crying, though, I think that's quite an imposition.

So I guess I'm saying that if the only way a person can grieve is by crying loudly and longly around a total stranger, then I'm just going to have to be uncomfortable.

Another placid face enters the café...

DaveW said...

Yes FLS, I guess when I was a serving Marine making $500 per month I was worth it. And later, throughout my working life, as I willingly paid the taxes I was levied for old folks I didn't know to have health care, I was worth it then too.

Now, now that I am less productive, it is certainly a good idea for the government to reevaluate the whole arrangement.

Now I am supposed to listen to dipshits that have no idea what they're talking about discuss whether my personal health care is worth 9% relatively.

I've said repeatedly, let me pay more in co-pays, let me pay more in coinsurance. But no, you stupid motherfuckers wanted to "help" me.

Well I'm going to help you bitch.

The super bright stupids who rule over us have no use for either the solid sense or subtlety of Benjamin Franklin, more's the pity.

DaveW said...

Oh. You guys didn't know?

Yes, all over the country people like me are getting these notices in the mail. The Medicare re-up time starts in November.

Guess your genius leader didn't think of that either.

Why do the media keep referring to Bill Ayers as "the former radical," "the former Weather Underground activist?"

This placid face of which you speak, the one that suggests you lean your head and drowse, I am not sure I see it.

Does it have one eye open and one eye closed? Does it look like this?

former law student said...

No I didn't consider my value as a percentage to the United States FLS.

No, Dave, I was talking about your plan's quality score, not your value, whatever you mean by that. How many stars did your Medicare Advantage plan receive this past April?

Superior plans were to receive more, and sucky plans were to receive less. As I pointed out, in my area the Kaiser Permanente plan scored highest while the AARP plan scored lowest.

So what did your plan score?

former law student said...

Guess your genius leader didn't think of that either.

Obama believes in "pay for performance." Part of that is "get better or get out." I tried to find out if your plan scored high or low, but you inexplicably held a little pity party for yourself.

lemondog said...

Obama believes in "pay for performance."

Oh, is that what redistribution of wealth is about?

Michael said...

Obama believes in pay for performance in the circumstance where he or the govt. determines performance. Alternatively he will let you determine performance and he will determine pay.

Obama is as dim on economics and the private sector as any liberal working in the non profit arena. Very.

is that what redistribution of wealth is about?

So, you don't have a problem with redistributing my wealth via Medicare taxes to overpriced underperforming Medicare Advantage plans? Why not, do you have stock in health insurers?

Anyone else having problems downloading the Drudge page? Lately it seems to be locking up while uploading r1.ace.advertising.com - requiring a minute or more to free up the mouse commands. Unusual because Drudge normally loads in a flash.
